Ok I'm here, I read up on some Expanse stuff and seeing as Ethereum itself is hugely complex, whats Expanser offer that Expanse offers that Ethereum does not?

Beyond that, speculatively, we have a very low marketcap with a substantial amount of consistent buy support, and with a fairly stable price and potential to rise. We also have a large community and a dedicated team that we are expanding. We already have actually, the announcement just isn't out yet -- We also have many years of future funding, so development will continue and nobody will be giving up.

Lastly, the website, while nice, is also being replaced with a top quality one to compete on any level. So the brand is also being developed more along with everything else.

yes, because the DAG file is larger on ETH already, it has todo with the block count.

The further the network is, the slower you mine.

Homestead is completed and just a matter of hitting the block. I believe Suprnova and others are already updated for it. Franko would have the specifics on that.

It still seems like a good entry price at .0013 btc, esp with an ATH of .039 btc.

I think with the devs having enough funds for the next few years, Expanse will be a good long term hold imo.

I may have thought up an actual use case for Expanse.
It could be marketed to Ethereum DApp developers as a sort
of "live" testnet.

Ethereum has a testnet on its own, but it seems
to me that a traded coin with a real userbase can provide much
better simulation of the eventual deployment.

We are considering a variety of possibilities. I think the idea of going hybrid POW/POS is interesting, as ETH will no longer be able to be mined, and we could get massive extra hash power that way. Better for long term distribution and we can still easily control inflation.

POS only is likely the leading option, then POW/POS Hybrid, then something else that is a new type of hybrid is another option (if everyone agreed).

As for merge mining, a lot of the hyped alt coin merge mining algos are pretty bad, but if there was a secure option that could be interesting.
