Thx for your answer

There were a couple others, although we are the most successful by far in terms of volume and exchanges.

We also going to work on getting on foreign exchanges next, in order to increase overall visibility and demand world wide.

Those are great news for Expanse. Say, what about getting Expanse to be added on Shapeshift? It is a good exchange and I think it will do pretty well for the benefit of this exciting dapp platform. Just suggesting.  Roll Eyes

Great idea, and more news will come once it is ready. Many things are in process. Smiley

So, u are in contact with Shapeshift to add the coin, or it is on the wishlist?

Someone suggested it, so I contacted Shapeshift and gave them what I think are some very good reasons to add Expanse. It is up to them however. We are actually focused on expanding into normal foreign exchanges, ideally that have very high volume, but Shapeshift would be excellent and a good option for people to get into Expanse.

edit:

I have received a response back from Shapeshift, and we have been added to a discovery list to be considered. They also stated if we are added in the future that they would be announcing it.

What's your reason for saying that?

Is there some development going on. Franko has been here for a while I don't see him going anywhere.

The team is working basically every single day on the project. Anyone doing the slightest bit of research can tell there is a lot of potential here. Check the volume, check the support, check for constant updates from the team. Compare with other projects that have higher marketcaps and basically no development or future, but of course do your own research and don't just trust people spreading hype of fud.

http://www.expanse.tech

Does that mean EXP will instantly go sky high? Not necessarily, but it does mean there is a lot of safety and security here. It does mean the team will keep working and growing. Dead? By every possible measure EXP has been growing since we started. Trolls were saying we would never hit 20k again after we launched, and that the project was dead many months ago. Well, obviously that isn't true, and we have grown tremendously over time.

Smoke and mirrors? There is a block explorer and everything is public, nothing whatsoever is hidden. There was even a test launch with the public in advance. A month of public discussion for the plans before the announcement. Smoke and mirrors are only for those that don't bother reading or looking. Anyone paying attention can see we have something very exciting that is being built up bigger and bigger over time, with no ICO, and only with the value we create by working on it together.

Nothing gained for the investor? Hardly, smart investors had record breaking gains. Those mining have done amazingly well on average over the months. This is fairly easy now. Just find a good price to get in or mine if you want, and then wait. There is no dumping from the team ever, and any time the team has gotten paid or puts some EXP on the market, the price has skyrocketed after it is sold and goes much higher than the original price. I assume this is because whales then have enough EXP to do what they want, but it sure has not caused any harm to the price.

Why do you ignore my request for help. I have a private key. How do I import the private key in gexp?

I have already messaged Dan about that, there are time differences and I have no idea what the answer is. If I don't know an answer, I am not a coder and I don't know everything, then I message someone that does. I messaged him in all the various forums you asked the same question, but I still have not heard from him since last night.

edit: I just reached Dan, he will save you! Smiley

@papcio77: Just place the private key inside a text file (eg mykey.txt) inside your gexp directory, then run from command line 'gexp account import mykey.txt' , it should ask you for a password (then reask you) to encrypt the key as it stores it (so make sure you remember the pw you enter!)

[10:02]
It would be recommended to delete the mykey.txt since its in plain text

[10:02]
but suggested to store it somewhere safe (or store your new password and the keyfile created by gexp)

Gave people the opportunity to generate a white paper ( http://www.exp.rocks/#/ )  but did not give instructions on how the private key and then import. That can not be.

Slack is the best place for technical help, please try there. Thanks. @danconway in slack, and please be patient as he is busy coding.

edit:

I have received a response back from Shapeshift, and we have been added to a discovery list to be considered. They also stated if we are added in the future that they would be announcing it.

Those are very promising news for Expanse. Once it will be considered to get added on Shapeshift, I think this will attract a lot of investors out there who don't want to waste time making accounts, etc. Exchange will be completely instant from another coin to EXP or viceversa. I definitely can't wait for this to happen. It would really change things.  Grin

It is, and your hashing speed will slow down the higher the current blocknumber is..
