The French Open is still 2 months and 2 weeks away. Lets hope he will be fit again then. Otherwise it will certainly become more and more difficult for his psyche.

I guess it's the main reason he postpones his return. He knows he has no room for mistakes anymore. Risking now and returning too early and on hard can put an end to his career.

Rublev has now also made a video on social media and in the video he apologised for his incident in Dubai. That should put the matter to bed and he can get back to doing what he does best against Murray in Inidan Wells. Murray had no problems in his opening match against Goffin and won clearly in two sets. But it will be much tougher against Rublev and unfortunately I do not see much of a chance from Murray to win this match.

I dont see much of a chance for Murray either. This is a match I will definitely watch
later on because it will be very entertaining, the Tennis will be top class and the passion
from both players will be in the Red. Odds for this one are 1.17 v 4.80.

I am happy to see that Osaka has progressed to the next round after easily beating
Errani. ^{sorry bitbollo!} She plays the 14th seed Samsonova tomorrow.

Venus William looked set to win the first round at Indian Wells against Japanese tennis player Nao Hibino but it cannot be denied that her age of 43 made it difficult for her to play more than two sets because in the third set she did not manage to win a single game and had to be eliminated from this tournament.

yea I kinda understand that but there comes a time where it has to be de-moralising
to be less and less competitive and not being able to meet the same standards you
one had.

I think Federer did it very well, he could see his Tennis career finished.

Murray cant see it

and I think this year will be a decider for Rafa, I cant see him doing what Murray
is doing, I imagine he would just pull the plug similar to what Roger did.

Venus should pull the plug, its such an effort to show up at a tournament, spend time
getting used to the weather and courts and then to get beaten in a first or second round.

ATP Indian Wells its rounds of 64 and almost all the seeded players have made it through
apart from Davidovic Fokina²³ beaten by Fils and Hurkacz⁸ beaten by Monfils.

There are some very interesting Round of 32 matches starting today:

Tiafoe v Tsitsipas - hard to pick a winner

Bublik v de Minaur - de Minaur is favourite and is playing well, Bublik will want to have a top
performance to beat him

Felix AA v Alcaraz - this could be a great match, a chance perhaps for Felix to cause an upset,
he is playing very well while Alcaraz may not be in his top form yet although Alcaraz is favourite
at 1.19....

Struff v Sinner - I dont think there will be an upset here

Rublev v Lehecka - hard to pick a winner

I watched both matches, Alcaraz looked in great form, getting stronger for sure,
Felix AA had a poor enough match by his standards, disappointing really.

Sinner too looked really good, he is playing some seriously solid Tennis, he looked
fresh and really in control of the match from start to finish, I think anyone left in the
will fear playing him.

Currently playing its Rublev v Lehecka and Rublev is in trouble, lost the first set
and broken in the second already.

Its time for her to retire, as you say 3 sets doesnt suit her and got bagled by Hibino,
I dont get it, does she really expect to bag another title? she doesnt need the money
so it cant be that...

It's very possible about the title but it's like something she won't be able to get anymore, especially in a big tournament like this, so it seems like her presence in this tournament is just about business for the tournament because it brings in more spectators, especially if she manages to survive longer.

The fourth round match which is quite interesting and I am looking forward to it is J. Sinner vs B. Shelton, last year they met twice with a score of 1-1 so this is quite difficult to predict even though Sinner is still the favorite seeing his performance which is still at his best, but Shelton has weapons to trouble Sinner who is undefeated this year, while Alcaraz will face Morozsan, a player who beat him last year and who also can stop Alcaraz from defending his title here, likewise, the Zverev vs De Minaur match will be quite difficult to predict.

That's why in my opinion rune will be victorious in this game and the odds value is very good, it's at 1.35 if rune manages to win

You did right by betting on Rune, he won in 2 sets. Musetti has not been playing very
well for the last while.

Medvedev should best Korda too, Korda is "hit or miss" for the last whole also, he is
unpredictable but I cant see him beating last years finalist. The odds on Medvedev are
not bad either.

Interesting match currently under way Paul v Humbert, the odds are 1.90 each. I have a
small bet on Humbert, he is playing great Tennis lately, hopefully he can keep it going...

This will certainly drive Alcaraz, Sinner and Medvedev on for sure, the outright favourite being beaten
leaves Sinner as the favourite @ 2.65 ^{great price!}


Next match today is very interesting, Lehecka v Tsitsipas, offhand I would think Tsitsipas will be in
trouble here but in fairness he is playing well so far.

even worse is betting these events live. It's really difficult to bet against a super favorite like Nole.

Italian tennis is still in great shape. I don't think there have ever been so many players at high levels in the past years.

Doković struggled even in the round before - against Vukic.

Quarter-final:
Jiří Lehečka vs Jannik Sinner, Lehečka is a good player but I don't think there will be any surprises and Sinner will still continue his winning streak, and advance to the semifinal
Alexander Zverev vs Carlos Alcaraz, this is quite difficult to predict even though Alcaraz is the favorite but Zverev managed to beat him twice in a row and will have a way to repeat his victory.
Tommy Paul vs Casper Ruud, this is also quite difficult to predict but Ruud has a better chance of making it to the semifinals
Daniil Medvedev vs Holger Rune, Medvedev will always be tough on hardcourt and Rune will have quite a hard time getting to the semifinals, my prediction is that Medvedev will go to the semifinals to face Ruud if he succeeds in beating the only remaining USA player in the men's section.

And today's surprise was that Aryna Sabalenka was eliminated by American tennis player Emma Navarro in a three-set match, it seems that after winning the Australian Open Sabalenka was still unable to perform well to get a better place in this big tournament, and Sabalenka elimination will make it quite easy for Swiatek to become champion here unless Wozniacki was able to beat her in the quarterfinals later.
Chinese player Yue Yuan is still unbeaten after winning the ATX Open, she is not the favorite when she faces Gauff in quarter final but her game is good enough to give the American a surprise.

A bit surprised nobody mentioned Aryna Sabalenka losing to Emma Navarro of the US yesterday which was kind of shocking. I watched the match and I should say it was one of the worst matches performance-wise for world #2 this year and probably also last year. Navarro did well and she is a new face on tour so perhaps that also helped her a bit. Those angles were super-cool, that ace from the 2nd serve for example!

Wow thats some statistic. Sinner in Indian Wells is IMO in the tough side of the draw, he is
edging closer to a possible match up with Alcaraz.

@serveria.com @Strongkored - yes I just heard that Navarro beat Sabalenka, thats a massive
win and upset by the home player.

She has a tough match up against Sakkari in the quarter final.

The other 3 quarters are:

Potapova v Kostyuk - I wouldnt have a clue what way that is going to go
Swiatek v Wozniacki - I think it will be a tough ask for the surprising Dane to beat the top seed
Yuan v Gauff - Brilliant to see Coco doing so well and she is favourite again.
