Well... I did it!!!! And if Sinner will be able to win the Shangai Master he could reach the 4th position on ATP!
Great result even if this year he has some disappoint (likewise in Roma against Cerundolo...)

Yeah, it is a big page in tennis. Same time Sinner have got the winning history along with him. Alcaraz and Sinner met in the Miami Open and it was Sinner who won the match 7⁷-6⁴ 4-6 2-6. This time predictions were completely different and it was stated that Alcaraz will be winning the match in direct sets.

Semi-final between Zverev and Medvedev. This is now the fifth time the two will met. Zverev only won once, in August in Cincinnati. Medvedev is in top form and has also performed well in this tournament. I rather see the advantage for Medvedev.

In the second semi-final, Alcaraz should have no big difficulties against Sinner. But Alcaraz has also lost surprisingly sometimes in the last weeks.

Sabalenka v Boulter live in Beijing China Open now. The match is surprisingly tight as Boulter is taking her serve games and also fighting hard in receive games. I love her short crosses on receive, she managed to surprise the Belarussian several times with that shot. Tournament's first seed is fighting for literally every point. 7:5, 3:2 Sabalenka so far.

Another matches worth mentioning are:

Andreeve v Pavluychenkova all Russian derby with a teenage sensation Mirra Andreeva who had breezed past Krejcikova in Round 1 6:2, 6:2.

Kostyuk v Jabeur another interesting match between top players. The Ukrainian has been playing really well lately while Ons is not in her best form atm. Taking this into account it should be a close encounter.

In the other match Medvedev have won it in a much easier way against Zverev 6-4 6-3
I even placed a multibet and lost it, I should've went for single bet.

TBH I didnt see that coming, I had predicted a Medvedev v Alcaraz final and by the odds
before the match not many saw it either, nice price romero121 with 3.70.

At least I got half my prediction right, Medvedev also won with 2 sets against Zverev.

I think Sinner has a very real chance against Medvedev in the final!

I did not expect it either, but as I wrote before, Alcaraz surprisingly lost some matches. That is why I do not see him as number 1 yet. Toronto, US Open, Rome, for example, are tournaments where he did not reach the final. For me he is not yet a player on whom I would always bet 100% for a win.

Well, to tell you the truth my bets were exactly opposite to yours: Medvedev and Alcaraz was my prediction. I didn't place a combo though and managed to break even. Anyway, in tomorrow's final my bet will be on the Russian. Not sure why, but I think Sinner is not mature enough for such a title.

Some surprising results from the WTA draw: Ostapenko eased past Pegula 6:4, 6:2 (who could have guessed?), Samsonova defeated Kostyuk in a 3 set thriller 6:4,6:7, 7:5.

Among the remaining round of 16 matches I'd like to draw your attention to Andreeva v Rybakina encounter. Russian teenage starlet is on fire (Krejcikova and Pavlyuchenkova out) and yet to lose a set in this tournament. Will be interesting to see her play against a top10 player.

Quarter final match Ostapenko v Samsonova looks very promising too, but I won't be betting on this one. Ostapenko is much too unpredictable. Would recommend as a great watch though.

What health condition does Sinner have? This might be the reason why he is not the favorite to win in this finals since he beat the highest favored one in Alcaraz already and the odds reflect that.
He did look very tired and was breathing heavily after any long rallys during the games yesterday.

The same could be said for the women's side with Pegula getting beat in straight sets against Ostapenko.
She was the heavy favorite being almost 3 to 1 in the odds department for Jelena to win being the #13th ranked player and Jessica being #4th.
She looked drained even in the first set and none of her shots where landing. Especially her first serve, they almost all landed into the net with a 43% accuracy rate compared to Ostapenko's at 62%.

Maybe Pegula is in a bad mental state after losing the final? I don't know, but as one of the best in the world in women's tennis, she should be able to handle these things without too much problems. Anyway, the loss was definitely surprising.

Rybakina made a really good comeback in this match. After losing the first set, which she actually lost quite easily. In my opinion, she was able to make a good comeback. She was able to win the next two sets, pretty convincingly.

He got the job done in 2 tie breakers, I was right with my reckoning that it could
be a close match. Looking at the stats apre match kind of backs that up but the
stand out is Medvedev's 4 double faults kind of stand out.

As said Sinner had won it in a much easier way. In similar situation the match between Alcaraz and Djokovic used to be that hard and finally Djokovic won the match. Here Sinner won the first set on a tie breaker and the second one in a much easier way as the scores were just 6-1

The match between Medvedev and Sinner looked like the match between Alcaraz and Djokovic. A great final as the scores were close and both the sets were decided through a tie breaker.

I think Sinner is one of only a few who is and possibly will be able to compete and
win against Alcaraz. Going into the semi final their head to head was 3-3, obviously
Jannik has taken the lead there. As for Medvedev I think for future meetings Jannik
will be able to win again.

He definitely has more developing to do and actually looking back on the match
Jannik was definitely more creative with his play. The future is definitely very interesting
for him.

At Beijing WTA two quarterfinal matches are ready to be played: Ostapenko v Samsonova and Garcia v Swiatek.

Two more to go: Rybakina will find out who her opponent will be after today's match between Sabalenka and Paolini. It's going to be a tough fight for a tiny Italian. Sabalenka winning this one will result in one of the best and already considered classic duels against Rybakina in a semifinal.

Two remaining spots will be taken by either Sakkari or Wang and Kudermetova or Gauff. Lots of quality womens' tennis action today!
