The little surprise Sara Bejlek will probably end her journey in Cincinnati any moment. Madison Keys was a too big number for her. I know it contradicts the fact that she was able to beat Sabalenka, but this happens more often than not when those surprise players have some momentum and I wonder why. It begs the question whether Sara Bejlek was so strong against Sabalenka or whether Sabalenka was so weak. Especially in 1v1 sports it is not always easy to tell what the real reason was.
But Keys of course has the home advantage and that makes a difference in any sport, but Keys has massive support over there. She may now face break balls, we will find out where this goes.
It was the other way around, Bejiek defeated Madison Keys, winning the last 2 to advance to the semi-finals. She will be facing another American in Coco Gauff. So we will see if Bejiek can continue her run or will Gauff. Gauff is gonna end that run as she is destined to be the champion of this tournament, ( just telling my dream). She is obviously the underdog in that match. On the other matches, It will be Swiatek vs Pegula. It really looks like Swiatek has gain her form already and could get another tournament after winning the Canada Open.
Hmm.. this is interesting, Pegula has been so consistent, although i believe people would think that Swiatek is the better player here, i think i would go with the world number 3 which i believe will likely be the underdog.

If you choose Pegula, well, you'll enjoy the bigger odds because she's currently listed at 2.85 to win this match, while Swiatek is heavily favored at 1.37. Honestly, even if I'm a big Swiatek fan I wouldn't take that 1.37 because it's too low, at 2:0 correct score that gives 1.91 odds, now that's already a fairer price for me.

I was confused how this match could have taken the turn it took. It can, of course, but Keys had all her chances, had the people in her back, and yet failed. I didn't see that coming. Full transparency, I had her as a parlay in my bet and it cost me money. Yeah, 2-4 for Keys, I thought it is over, but no.

Congratulations to the bettors who picked Pegula, she won the match against Swiatek, so no more back-to-back championship for Iga. Now we have two USA players, Pegula and Gauff, in the finals. I guess I'll go with Gauff here, but this should be an interesting match.

Well, well, well! Sinner was dominating the men's side with Alcaraz out of the picture and it looks like the reverse is about to happen thanks to Alcaraz returning to the US Open while Sinner is injured and has withdrawn from his first ever slam.
Zverev and Djokovic will try hard, but I don't see the trophy slipping from Carlos unless his wrist injury was worse than we thought. Also, Serena is playing along with him in a mixed doubles match.

It's because of here latest run in the Canada Open that I think Swiatek was coming back and looks like gaining her top form. But Pegula has other plans, although Swiatek was able to level the score at 1-1 set. But in the 3rd set, Pegula come back from a break down and beat Swiatek in almost 3 hours. It was really a very close match, but Pegula come in thru and recovered in the last set.

See what these young players are saying. I myself used to be a young player, but knew and understood it would never be enough to become top 100, they know they already climbed the Mount Everest and then say "it is enough, I need more rest". There is a good reason why these guys do this and I think it is more healthy, but compare it to Federer or Djokovic. Sinner and Alcaraz need one more guy who is constantly stealing their points.

Big win for Gauff, Pegula has been falling short in the finals lately, last time she lost to Eala and now to Eala's friend. I would've probably bet on Coco too because she's more athletic, would've been even more interesting if Coco faced Swiatek, but Iga already lost to Pegula. Now it's time for the US Open, another big tournament and a big prize waiting for them.

Extremely excited for this US Open since 2 of my favorites will be playing. Federer(All time fav) will be playing against Roddick in a simple crowd entertainer while Alcaraz is officially back and is warming up in order to defend his title.
I don't see Sabalenka winning the US Open twice in a row and am expecting Coco or Swiatek to win it this time around.

Sabalenka is now struggling and she kept losing in r32 and 16. Coco and Swiatek is also the best to pick . But I hope if there will be a chance I can see Eala in the Finals. eala-nation is changing the tennis audience now and the league is the money in the crowd now,. Congrats COCO on your championship!

Sabalenka aint playing good at all lately and now is down in her form. This happened to Swiatek before,Swiatek was playing really good and was unbeaten then just went into a bad form and now is trying to get back to the winning ways. Sabalenka is also struggling now and i think she wont even reach the semis in this us open. Coco on the other hand is playing really well and will probobly reach the very end of the tournament but if she will win it i dont know.

Do you enjoy exhibition matches? Federer vs Roddick match was just for entertainment, as you said, and I didn't find it interesting no pressure. I wasn't even aware there was a live broadcast available to watch.

I do enjoy certain exhibition matches especially when they are centered around all time greats like Federer, Agassi etc. This one delivered really well and the NY crowd can attest to that. The drone show was epic too and I am excited for Fed's Hall of Fame induction soon. Alcaraz-Williams got knocked out in the mixed doubles quarter finals. Alcaraz's path to defending his US Open title starts soon.

Honestly, I'm not really watching those doubles games, I'm more into singles and I know Alcaraz will make his journey there. By the way, did you see the game, how was he? Did Alcaraz still look the same? He was coming from injury, so hopefully he's already close to 100%.

May I ask, what's the odds of Gauff winning the US Open? If the odds are attractive then I think she's worth backing, since she's been really consistent lately and that recent win will probably give her more confidence to go for another title. With such a huge prize at stake, everyone will surely train hard and fight for every round, but with Gauff I think she has a really good chance, at least reaching the QF should be very possible.

Didnt expect this duo to get knocked out but i guess they just wanted to have some fun like djokovic and sabalenka did. I think Alcaraz is ready or he wouldnt be here in the US open so its possible that he is ready for this tournament. The main problem for him is that he didnt play much last few months and this will surely have effect on his gameplay. I think that he wont be able to defend it,but still has a good chance with Sinner not playing. So i think anyone can take the US open this year.
