After having problems in Barcelona final now Alcaraz withdrawn from Madrid open which is surely big setback for him as it's going to hurt his preparation for big Grand Slam which is going to start after few days in Paris.
Many big players are going to play their games on Friday which is going to be interesting day in this event but after withdraw of Alcaraz it's going to be interesting for all top players.

WTA Madrid is currently had few top games which are interesting with second ranked Swiatek is leading against young sensation Eala both won one set each in third set Swiatek is leading and have good chance of won this match.

In another game, unseeded Sevastova handed defeat to Barcelona open winner Ostapenko in straight sets third win for Sevastova against her in three matches between them.

Correct, those champs that still in their primes they now know how Eala played the game and the preparations is more focus now, like you've said she surprise those players that he beaten but after that game they already knew what they needed to adjust. Alex needs to over exceed with her game needs to keeps on practicing and keeps on monitoring all those top names on this league.

Not today Alex, she's been read and that first set win is not enough to move forward, keep moving forward and keep trying..

Probably, if every one is caught off guard with her performance and now they are ready for it. So I guess everything still rest on Alex though, she shouldn't have that kind of mindset. Instead she should focus more on improving and not be affected on what is going on around her or what other players is thinking of her game.

Tsitsipas is playing against Struff currently, still early 1-1 very hard to predict as Tsitsipas is very inconsistent.

But Tsitsipas is a huge favorite in this fight and so he might go thru and win against Struff.

In a non suspected time I had already highlight him as a strong Italian player but being able to win against Djokovic is a great success.
Meanwhile, there is a Netflix series about Alcaraz. I didn't have this service but I guess it would be interesting to watch.

It is always difficult to maintain stamina when players have to play in tournaments the scedule are very close, especially if in the previous tournament they could advance to the final, minimal rest and the possibility of injury always haunts the players. Alcaraz and Rune experienced that and if we look at the history of other players it is almost the same, but Mutua Madrid remains tight because several top players are still competing and for the Italian Open we might see Sinner back to court, but for Djokovic I think he will take a break to focus on the French Open.

Very frustrating for both players but more so Fokina, He won the first set and

On the Womens side, is the final lining up to be a top flight clash between Sabalenka and Swiatek?

In the quarters Swiatek plays Keys today and Sabalenka plays Kostyuk, Swiatek has the more
difficult task.

On the mens side my prediction of the dark horse: Ruud is getting closer, he beat Fritz yesterday
to progress to play Medvedev tomorrow. Draper and de Minaur are to two highest seeds left with
Mensik playing very well!

Good question. At this level I think that everything is somewhat checked and verified by a team.
Sinner has many sponsors and economic interest and dozens of people are making money thanks to him so even these information are somewhat "filtered".

Personally I am just waiting for Internazionali in Roma. I think I will also go there to see a couple of matches. However the whole city has again the "tennis fever" (impossible few years ago such interest in a sport that was not only soccer in Italy...)

WTA Madrid is also having shocks and surprised Swiaket was looking good in early games but Gauff took only 66 minutes to send her home with stunning win in semifinal while next semifinal is going to be played between Sabalenka vs Svitolina after exit of Swiatek it looks like Sabalenka is going to have another title under her belt.
