2024 NBA Season

Upon checking the standings for 2021 season, I saw that 76ers are in the lead in eastern conference with 7 wins and 3 losses the same with celtics. Do you think 76ers can maintain this standing until playoffs?

And for the western, still the Lakers are very dominant as they are in the lead with 8 wins and 3 losses followed by Suns with 7 wins and 3 losses also. I am wondering if Suns can also reach the playoffs in this season as they are in the good start.

3-2 today and 6-4 last 2 days.  Will pick another 5 tomorrow.

All equally weighted.  Anyone with thoughts on these 5 picks?  Considering Denver-5.5 but as a knick fan I just can't lol.

I think Golden State Warriors-Toronto Raptors game was one of the games worth watching last night. GSW played the first two quarters nicely and finished the first half 10 points ahead. Raptors made a good comeback especially with their performance in the last quarter (33-19). But GSW managed to beat Raptors 106-105. Raptors were really good last season (finished the Eastern Conference as the second). But they couldn't have a good start this season (2W 7L).

We saw first 10-11 games and there is no big dominance. Best streaks are 8-3 Lakers and 7-3 Phoenix, Sixers, Celtics. The league looks like balanced for now.
Warriors performance is quite impressive. Nobody expect them to play like this. I have doubts about their performance in the long run though.

A very nice game with very close final scores.You can really see each team how they'd perform when it come to their efforts on making up points.

I didnt really expect for GSW to be showing off their capability of this new season.Lots had already presumed that they wont really be making different and telling that
they wouldnt able to do significant of this current one.

About raptors then  theres no doubt about past performances even though they had a bad start but doesnt mean that they wont able to cope up.

We ha already seen on how it greatly affect the entire team when their superstars weren't able to play with the rest of the team and now that they are back in court then we
would really be seeing that old GSW performance that we had in the past but lets see if they can handle out those current beast rosters on this season.

Warrior are able to include themselves on top 10 having that 6-4 record. This season is getting interesting where teams and current rosters now are somewhat on the balanced side.

I voted the Lakers to be the first team to 20 wins. They’re leading the league with 8 wins now and their team is healthy so it seems like the obvious choice to me. Although I’d be surprised if they ended the season with the best record.

That would give an advantage to a team against the lakers in the East as they will have a home court this time although still fans are not allowed. However, if they keep improving, they might still hold the number 1 spot as they are already in the number 1 spot now though it's still a close competition against the lower teams.

Well, I also voted for the Los Angeles Lakers, I think he is one of the teams that has the most potential to reach 20 wins (in my opinion)
Maybe I would risk the Clippers, Celtics is also "packed" with 4 consecutive wins, they are others options.

I'm glad OP put a poll, I just noticed now.

I voted for the sixers because they have a good start, they have struggled a bit now but they'll come back and start winning.
They are completely a different team now, I know there are some doubters but I hope to prove them wrong.

Sixers is only good at the season.

They have a better lineup before compare today based on my observation when Jimmy Butler is on board but still choke at the playoffs.

I'm one of their doubters as they can't manage the pressure during playoffs even they are always present every year.

Well, let's go Clippers. I thought there will be 2 options since I'd like to vote for the two LA team to reach that win on some point in less time. This might be surprising if those on the voting option will never get it first though but I think they'll make it

Portland Trail Blazers played a home game against Toronto Raptors this morning. It was a thrilling game. Portland ended the first half 55-60 behind but they managed to beat Raptors 112-111 in the end. After this result, Raptors got their 8th loss this season. On Portland side, McCollum got 30 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Lillard got 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. C. Anthony got 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. On Raptors side, Siakam made a triple-double (22 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists). C. Boucher got 20 points and 8 rebounds. K. Lowry got 18 points and 9 rebounds.

I'm not just used to see this few crowd. But that's it, this is much better to see that it's getting back to normal although it's just a slow pace.

Eventually it will increase as the vaccine is distributed to people. Our economy will recover again and will make the sports industry to get their usual profitability. The progress is good, slowly but surely, before it's a pure bubble, but now we are already seeing a home court, soon it's gonna be the crowd.

But we cannot expect that after that we can get back to our normal life since remember we have new covid variant attacking some countries around the globe and hopefully that new can be tamed by the new vaccine created by big pharmaceutical companies. And maybe after the vaccination and series of test if there's no new cases or the pandemic spread will totally stop maybe we can see the normal scenarios in NBA arena where we can see so many fans interaction.

Its hard to watch games end to end without the crowd.  The home crowd cheering and chanting males it more exciting.  This past ~ year has seemed like one long preseason or something.  Cant wait until fans are back in the seats and not cardboard cutouts.
