The Wizards won the Celtics by 3 points. This match was impressive, especially during the last minutes. Beal and Dinwiddie scored important shots, then Caldwell-Pope made a decisive block on Brown in the final seconds of the second overtime. By the way, the Celtics were let down by three-point shooting throughout the match because they scored only 2 out of 26. I think that was the main reason for their defeat in this match.

They beat them twice this season and now the Washington Wizards are leading the Eastern Conference along with Knick they are now 5-1. The funny thing about the match today is when "Montrezl Harrell yelled "you're trash!!" to his former teammate Dennis Schroder" Source: NBA BUZZ

How quickly do they forget each other?  Grin Cheesy

A typical Wizards that showing good start then chocke from mid game to playoffs, This kind of player is a cancer to NBA and they are the reason why some young talent are being discouraged to perform well. They are the bully players that don't have a consistent good performance that's why they are just doing this kind dirty gesture to avoid attention from them. We saw many players like this before and they are currently on bench or early retired.

On the contrary last year they started slow. But after the all star break, they went on a winning streak, not sure if it's 7-8, but I did make a good profits betting on them because they are always the underdog. And then they made the playoffs with Beal + WB. So I'm not sure why you call them bully though, they've been trying to get into the playoffs contention. About Harrell saying to Dennis, just part of the game to trash talk specially your former team mates.

The ex-Lakers are doing pretty well with their new team. Kuzma and Harelll are great and I think we will see their true potential that they were not able to show in their previous team, also let us not forget Dinwiddie who is good in any team he will play, this team has the potential to compete in the playoffs.

Their stats have really improved, especially for Kuzma and Harell.
you can see the improvement here.

Kyle Kuzma
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
Montrezl Harrell

Montrezl Harrell having the best season of his career so far with 19.3 ppg average.

That's also what I remember. They manage to play in the playoff but unable to push forward.

Beal with the new guys. If they start jiving well, this team also has the capabilities to go back again to the playoff.
I stop following this team after John Wall, but now, with Lakers former players, I start watching again.

I wonder if Caruso also manages to play with this team. Support cast for Beal for both offense and defense may have good improvement.

Just saying..

Kuzma has been playing very well for the Wizards so far with 15 points a game and 42% FG. So are Harell and Pope. I think getting them traded was a win for both parties. Lakers got WB and these players got a better team they can perform consistently in.

Yes, the 3 of them are shining in the Wizards uniform, playing both offense and defense. Kuzma gets a lot of flack last year, but the kids has the confidence to still play very good in Washington. I thought his dagger 3 in the corner was enough to give them the win. But the game was like playoff basketball and hopefully these 3 players will contribute big in every game for the Wizards. There were times that Harrell was the facilitator in the game, which we didn't see him in Lakers.

We don't see that in Lakers but he was doing it already with the Clippers.

Before he played with the Lakers, he already has good stats with the Clippers and I was actually surprised that he leave the Clippers for the Lakers, good thing he didn't stay long with the team and was traded to a team that he could be on his own again, I mean, look at this stats now.

...
Luka needs help badly. I think the Mavs trusted in his ability to carry the team too much. There's really nobody else when he struggles. I thought the likes of Hardaway Jr. could help out but that's still not the case unfortunately. Kristap is also unreliable even if healthy.

Maybe it is his fault?

I love Luka just as much as the next person but he's sometimes disengaged whenever he's not on ball and that's something that has been neglected by fans too much.

This is the reason why Porzingis was struggling last season and why role players find it hard to be consistent.

I don't think it's Luka's fault though, maybe they really need to surround him with positive and consistent players. If I'm not mistaken, Hardaway sign a contract extension this year, so he should be the one backing up Luka and providing offense too. But at the start of the season, we haven't seen him exploding yet. On KP, that has been the case for him last year, hopefully he can be a factor this season. He is too soft and oftentimes just standing there watching Luka doing his magic.
Maybe he could have done better when he doesn't have the ball but it's hard to put a blame on him when nobody else is stepping up and taking advantage of the chance they get. It's the job of the coach to sort these things but how do you expect him to pick a play when his players other than Luka are underperforming?

The coach can only manage the roster he has, but if within that roster only Luka is the most consistent and others are not, it will still be the same Dallas Mavericks who allows a team to come back and beat them in the playoffs. This is hard to watch as Luka is sensational, but maybe if they will fail again this season, they might add new players and trade KP.

Exactly what I'm saying. Jason Kidd can only try to rotate his players and give everyone minutes to deliver on the court.

I also read Dallas has a leadership council consisting of Luka, Kristap, and Hardaway Jr but it's only Luke who is looking like a leader right now.

Dallas would always welcome that idea, however, the big problem is, will the Nuggets allow that to happen? obviously, the answer is no because Jokic won an MVP last season and he is the best player on the team, without him, Nuggets will struggle and will not be a championship contender.

I believe trash talk is something that people should get used to at this period. I mean just because you were playing in the same team doesn't mean that you should be talking respectfully during the game. Obviously as soon as the game ends, full on respect and not talking badly about each other is a great thing. However during the games trash talk will happen and people need to get used to it one way or another.

Harrel has always been a full on heart player, he is not greatly talented like many other stars we know, he is just a role player that works very hard, he is today's Ben Wallace but a worse version, obviously Ben Wallace was INSANELY good, but his wasn't talent, his was pure heart and hard work, Harrel is like that, he is not pure talent, he is just hard work and heart. This type of people usually end up being the most talkative ones for sure. Draymond, KG, Payton and many alike.

This is hard to watch as Luka is sensational, but maybe if they will fail again this season, they might add new players and trade KP.
Trade KP for Jokic hehehe.

Dallas would always welcome that idea, however, the big problem is, will the Nuggets allow that to happen? obviously, the answer is no because Jokic won an MVP last season and he is the best player on the team, without him, Nuggets will struggle and will not be a championship contender.

It would favor the Dallas Mavericks but it will never happen because Jokic is the Lebron James of the Nuggets, this team has become better when Jokic arrived and they are now consistently in the playoffs, unfortunately, they have not reach the NBA Finals yet but they will surely reach that in time as long as they keep improving and of course, Jokic will remain healthy.

Actually, their team now is already a championship caliber, they just need to have a healthy Jamal Murray again which is still out until now and no definite time of return per update.

People really going nuts for lamarcus aldridge right now.  He's having a great season so far and just joined the 20K point club.  A great comeback after retiring due to an irregular heartbeat scare last year.  I'm seeing people saying if he wouldn't have retired then the Nets would have won last year, and I think that's a valid argument considering they were a 1/2 a Durant shoe size away from likely taking it home without him.  Maybe in the playoffs he'll be able to step up and fill the hole left by no dominant true center on the roster...  We'll see...

It's true. Finding a guy (a large guy) that can shoot like that is not easy. You have a defender, a big man that could box out small lineup teams like GSW and can shoot in front of anyone. Any team would be nuts to add him to their roster if not for the heart problem that happened to him.
Thankfully, he was given another chance and the minutes given to him are not being wasted by Aldridge proving how he is still capable of being a threat to any position on the floor. Nets management could let their stars breathe some air with the assurance that their roleplayers could hold anyone or be even better than any 2nd team.

I'm currently watching Lakers vs Rockets and LBJ is playing along with the other star players and they are leading by 12 at the end of the first quarter. can they keep it up?

Looks like this will gonna be an easy game for them, they won't gonna give this one easily since they already learned their lesson vs the OKC last time.

He's actually one of the more actively and consistent contributors on the Nets which is a big surprise... Kudos to him.

I would have thought honestly that his game was outdated and a bit slow but he actually looks a lot more agile than on the Spurs.

The year off must have been good for him physically and mentally. And honestly, he's healthy which is the most important thing above all else.

I have to admit, I'm one of the fans who underestimated Aldridge, I was thinking that he'll be limited and his production would go down, but no, I was wrong, look at him now, it's like we are seeing an old Aldridge that dominates, and his shooting percentage is almost perfect.

In their game against the Pistons, he made 16 points but from a 7 of 8 shooting, how consistent is that?

There's no major improvement actually, because if you look at his statistics, it's still almost the same last season he played with the Nets. Anyways, it's still too early maybe we will see an improvement but I'm happy that his heart problem is not bothering him anymore and I wish he can finally get a championship with the Nets this season.

I still remember when Aldridge and Roy are the top players back when they are still in Portland. Its just sad that Roy retired very early that time.

Now he proving that he can still help the team as long as he will be given enough minutes. He played 21 minutes with 16 points. His perimeter shooting + his ability to handle ball are still there like he is playing on his prime. He isn't as quick as he is years ago and its understandable but his perimeter shooting is his bread and butter. I hope that he will be healthy all through out the season because he will be a big help to the Nets both offensively and defensively.
