As for the news about Jenkins firing, I know, it's really hard to understand why the management fire him with a winning percentage and going to the playoff. It's probably someone whispers that they don't like him as a coach.

If this is true, it is not new to NBA as many Superstars have their demand now. and if that is true, 100% it is a superstar who asked for that.
NBa now a days are not the same as before where players play as there will be no tomorrow, even they  are not feeling well, they will play the ball.

An upseet win fro Detroit vs CAVS, such a good performance and i hope they can continue.

I think the case is very different, coaches are very fired if they have a bad record or if the teams are in danger of not playing in the playoff or they really suck. Neither are the case on Jenkins as his records speaks for itself. So there must be something that a certain player could have requested like Ja Morant telling the management that they need to let go of him, something that is not far fetched.

For the Cavs, I thought that they will go as the best record in the NBA, even against OKC. But in the last 10 games they are struggling. They are lucky that they build a massive record in the beginning already. But they need to instill in their mind that it is over yet and then need to win every game in the regular season.

Easy win by the Warriors against NOP. Curry is back so they have all the confident right now. NOP just give up a lot of easy shots for the Warriors. There were even 3 easy non contested lay up for them in the 3rd quarter wherein the Warriors pouring it all together.

And with this win, they are tied with the Clippers in the 6th and 7th position.

Few more games and we will see who will take the 6th spot, like what you said it was an easy game for the Warriors as NOP is just playing to complete the game but the level of competition is not something that fans will enjoy, with that win from the Warriors they are pushing their way though both Clippers and Wolves are also pushing their ways to grab the 6th spot, it's a matter of those remaining games to win before we can see who's going to be on that spot to move forward for the next round.

Lakers have had a terrible form lately. Only 1 win in their last 5 games... Even since LeBron recovered from his injury they have still been losing often. 

I thought they would have their revenge on Bulls earlier but they lost by a buzzer-beater. There is something they really need to improve these days. That thing seems to be their defense.

I still don't think they will drop down from top 6. However with this level of performance in defense they can be in big trouble during playoffs.

It is defense. Luka is not known to be strong on that part, and neither is Lebron. And they cannot just keep on scoring back whenever an opponent scores, because they are making the same mistake as the Phoenix Suns is doing right now. They lack defensive players, it is a fact. Back then, the Lakers have Anthony Davis, who is a truly amazing defender beneath the rim, and Luka, back on the Mavs, has a lot of defensive players in their roster, which is why his offensive skills is more highlighted, although they are really winning because of the names like Gafford, Lively, PJ, and Jones Jr. Without those players, the Mavs may have not reached the Finals.

The Lakers need a rebuild, and if they are rooting for Luka to be their franchise player, they need more defensive players who can also shoot.

Another sad news for the Charlotte Hornets. Lamelo Ball is going to miss the remainder of this season.

That's because of the surgery that he'll get for his wrist and ankle injuries. Well, I'm sure that others won't think of anything positive with that but I wish the boy recovers earlier as expected.

Not too bad, though, since the season is ending soon and the Hornets aren’t a playoff team anyway. At least when he was healthy, he showed that he’s still got it, even after dealing with injuries. Hopefully, he can recover from this one and come back strong again.

This is different from the case of Griffin, Jenkins is fired just 6 games before the playoff, they are in the 4th spot and his record is one of the best for Memphis. So it's a mystery to many of us why he was fired this late in the season. While Griffin, it was too early and perhaps the management thinks that he is still not worthy to be a true head coach.

Maybe when things settle down later, we will hear what the true story is, but for now, we don't know what the management is thinking when they fired Jenkins this late.

My worst nightmares have started to come true with the Bulls being one of the hottest teams in basketball right now.  Yet another win against the Lakers, on some last second nonsense too.  They are now in position to make the playoffs and do exactly what I don't want them to do, as they'll be out round one and get in to a lesser draft position.  I put some satoshis on the Lake show last night expecting fully for them to not lose twice in a few days span.  Didn't work out.

They're only 2 games behind the 7th seeded Hawks, and they won 8 on their last 10 games. They're really are hot right now, and if this continues, I'll not be surprised if they manage to get that 7th seed because that's their ceiling. As for the draft position, at the end of the day, they will not get any at the top draft pick, and they can't afford to tank to go out of the play-in tournament as well because they're 7.5 games above the 11th seed Raptors.

The only thing that they can do right now is to just play like they used to be, and if they will be out of the playoffs, they can just pray to get a high seed on the draft night because at the end of the day, being at the bottom of the standings doesn't guarantee you a top pick.

Of course it doesn't guarantee them a top seed in the draft.  If you understand how the draft works than you know one's chances are better if they lose more, they have a better opportunity for getting a better spot in the draft.  So wining isn't doing them any favors.  They are shit team and have zero chance as making any sort of run in the playoffs, so it's simply all for not, just like it has been with them for many years now.  .

The Los Angeles Lakers are looking pretty good against the Grizzlies today. They’re shooting over 50% from three point range with a 13 point lead as we approach halftime. LeBron doesn’t seem to be his usual y efficient self, but he’s doing enough to help them get ahead today. Hopefully by playoff time he’s looking 100%.

I think that's what their target it, to keeps their hopes alive for the play-in. As it seems that the Phoenix Suns has given already for this season. And there are news that Durant might leave the next for next year.

That's why many former players turn basketball analyst doesn't want how the league has turn out to be. Because they have given too much power to the players itself and it should be the other way around.

Sometimes teams want to take "the next step" and this could be something similar here, we are talking about a team that is doing fine, but Memphis isn't at a level where they can win the whole thing with Jenkins, it is not going to happen.

So they probably decided to blow it all up, and since they know they can't win with him this year, there isn't really a wrong timing, so if they get someone now, that means the new coach will have a chance to run the club during playoffs, like an experience. Well, they won against the red-hot Bulls 120-119 and currently they're 9th now on the standings, and it's because Sacramento lost their game against the Magic.

I don't know if they can get that 8th seed especially now that they're 5 games below the Timberwolves, but they're rolling ever since AD came back and currently on a 2-game winning streak. The remaining schedule of the Mavericks isn't that hard as well. 2 against tanking teams, 3 against Lakers and Clippers, one in Atlanta and Memphis. I believe if they will continue playing like this, they will remain at the 9th seed and will be facing the Kings or maybe the Suns if they play good in their remaining games.

Apparently, it seems like Morant doesn't want the new offensive style of Jenkins. This might be one reason why he got fired, but it's just a rumor of course.

At the end of the day, we will be seeing a new Memphis Grizzlies right now. With this happen, I don't have any expectations towards them anymore. Well, with Jenkins' tenure, the farthest that he carried his team in the playoffs is the 2nd round, so maybe Memphis' GM wants to take a risk and have another coach. We don't know, but let's just see. If it will not work this season for them, they will have another season again to try. What's done is done, and there's nothing we can do now, but to move on from it.
