IM pretty sure that this Lakers team will secure that 4-5 Spot in standing! Well, actually i am sure for the 4th spot (IF THEY CAN) for the home court advanage.
as we all know that Memphis team is not that healty and still fragile.

The Lakers became better for this season. I can still vividly remember last season when they were struggling and still made it that far.

This time, it looks easy on them and they're one of the favorites of the crowd and that's why we're all counting and rooting for them. Very possible that we'd see them end up better than of the last.

They got a new coach and then they got Luka, so that is very big for the Lakers this year as now they are in the playoff again. And we all know that it's a very different Luka when it comes to playoff so for sure fans of the Lakers are very excited this coming playoff run for them.

On the other hand, AD is also trying to get his Mavs into the play-in tournament. So who knows, maybe they are going to see each other in the playoff and that will be a interesting storyline as we all know what happen between this two teams.

If Mavs managed to reached the Play-in and escaped the 1st round then the chance might be possible to meet the Lakers to the next round, that's interesting, and for sure  fans from both side will enjoy though for those Mavs fans who still not getting use to see Luka wearing different uniforms maybe they'll going to show their love if these two teams meet during the playoffs.

NBA will surely the winner as they'll going to gain more tickets and viewers sales,  great benefits for both NBA managements and team owners.

Kevin Durant left the Phoenix Suns’ blowout loss to the Houston Rockets early on Sunday night after rolling his ankle hard in the second half.

The injury came just a quarter after the Suns star got into it briefly with Rockets forward Dillon Brooks — who was then ejected from the game after the scuffle.

Wrong step. He stepped on the foot of Jabari Smith Jr., and that made his ankle roll. I hope he is okay, though. There are no reports yet about the status of the injury and the MRI might come out later. He is expected to miss their next games. Sadly, that's 3 consecutive road games so Booker would need his monster game to come out at each of them.

So far they are doing great for placing at No.4 on West but we can still see that there's so many things need to work out so that they can make their team became more unstoppable. Lakers need solid back up center and Len is not doing anything to help their team. Maybe better for them to waive him and just find another reliable center that can help their team.


Got impress also so far on the performance made by Mavs when AD came back since its like they became a big deal when AD is in their team. Now that they are currently on 9 spot it give hope that they can still compete with other strong team. They need to win more games so that they can retain their current spot and try their luck to win on Play in to advance on next round.

Great to hear that, now the process of rehabilitating begins. Hopefully, just like other players, he should come back and recover. But it will take some time though, it might be another full season and many things could happen during the time.

Lakers having a big defensive issue, specially inside, is literally because they lost AD and had not even a remotely similar player at the bench. They are great offensively, because they added Luka, and overall they got better, but they are of course much worse on inside defense.

They will still be decent though, this game against Bulls was something special, you do not expect a team to shoot three threes in a row, one from half court at last second, that was a unique situation and won't happen that often. They also feel a lot more tired by fourth quarter and start playing terribly, which is why they need to learn to rest their players a bit more on early minutes of the games. Probably a lot more on second quarter, and late third quarter.

The problem with the Lakers is that, they don't have a back-up bit for Hayes. They signed Alex Len to be the back-up big of the Lakers, but it turns out that it's a failed one because Len is a liability when he's on the court. He doesn't shoot, doesn't rebound. In short, he's inefficient when he's playing that's why the Lakers have a bad defense.

Yes, that's why the really wanted to get Williams, before, and I don't think that Hayes could really be the definition of a pure center. Although he is tall, but he doesn't have that big "presence" in the middle.

And the next big thing for them is Alex Len, but he is way underperforming that they just decided to stop experimenting with him and bench him. And it was Luka, Lebron and Reaves that are really bringing the Lakers to a win. But it could be very different if they go on the playoff and face a physical team or at least does have a good center.

While I’m not excited to watch the Rockets play, they are usually full of drama so having them meet with Luka and LeBron could provide some moments that are worth seeing. Would be nice to see the Lakers dominate a team ranked much higher than them.

It turns out their last game was back in January this year, and the Rockets won that one. Now, let's see if the Lakers can bounce back, especially with Luka on the team. What’s interesting is that we’ll see Brooks guarding LeBron again, which will definitely make the game more entertaining.

Even though the Rockets are playing back-to-back games, I believe their starters don't play lots of minutes since it was a blowout win against the Phoenix Suns.

Well it's not hard to get better when you are adding a generational talent type player to your roster, and basically get him in the worst trade of all time. If they actually had a big man to help them inside that would help them a lot, for this reason I still don't see them as any danger for OKC.

I believe that it was part of the original plan, to get a big man but it didn't proceed and no news anymore about that trade.

I don't understand why they are always getting cheered in other arenas, what's to like about the Lakers?

That simply is the charisma of the team. Like built up the fan base since the early days and up until now, the fans aren't going anywhere and instead adding some more. It's an organic growth for the team.

Has Zion Williamson ever been healthy at the end of a season in his career? They wanted him, but the problem is Williams didn't pass the physical test because of his past injuries, and how many games he played in the last 3 years. If I'm not mistaken, he played around 30% of the total games in the last 3 years which for us is horrible that's why they went to another big hence, they get Alex Len but... we know what happened before that.

As for Hayes, he's too skinny for me to be a center. Yes, he's an athletic, tall guy, but if the Lakers wanted him to be their starting center for the future, they need to develop him even more. What's good about him though is that he is playing way better ever since Luka went to LA because he's the recipient of the lob pass that comes from Luka. Anyway, if the Lakers will fail this playoffs, I'm pretty sure they will get a back-up big in the off-season. I have high expectations about them though. Maybe the highest that they can get is the 2nd round or even the Conference Finals depending on their opponent.

Yep, he's back, but they just lost against a tanking team like the Nets 113-109. AD is still playing on limited minutes, but the Mavericks can't afford to have losses like this moving forward. What's good why didn't went to 10th spot is the Kings also lost against the Pacers so they remained at the 9th seed. The Suns are coming though as they're only 1.5 games behind the Mavericks.

Yep! AD actually fits perfectly for the Mavs. He knows his game and he's kinda uncomfortable playing for the Center position. He'll be more productive and effective both offensively and defensively when he's playing at 4.
Let's just wait till the Mavs have their whole roster back healthy. I'm looking forward next season and hope Kyrie will fully recover during that time.
While the Lakers on the hand may not need a Center for now as it will only slow them down offensively. When Vincent and DFS are hitting 3s, they are hard to defeat.

There's an issue about his durability since we know AD is injury prone and might missed more important games then this situation makes him a liability for their team. If he doesn't have that issue then we can see that he's perfect fit on that team.

But to bad for them they lose against Nets today. They are one game behind and Kings has a chance to take the 9th spot.

Lol, everyone speaks too soon as the Mavs lost to the Nets in this game, the Nets are also short handed them, but they got the numbers against the Mavs. In the Lakers game, it was a scary win for those who bet on the Lakers with -4.5, lol.

I don't know, but I will say that it will just be a matter of time that Stewart will be involved in a brawl that could end his NBA career. He has this physically, but he seems to not control his emotions and have been involved in a lot of NBA fights and brawls. Hopefully though, the Pistons will have to enroll him in some kind of anger management, as it could either he will hurt someone, or he himself getting hurt in the end. Yeah, just to bad for the Mavs to lost the game against the Nets without the two Cam's, Johnson, and Johnson. And Gafford is back in the line up, but it doesn't make any difference.

That was really close, but what’s important is that the Lakers defended their home court again.

At first, I thought it was a trap, but IIRC, the line opened at -5.5 for the Lakers and closed at -3.5, meaning a lot of people bet on the Rockets.

Still, for Lakers bettors, even those who placed their bets early, they still won. This just proves once again that the Lakers are dominant at home and have a high ATS cover rate.
