Dallas seems to be doing everything to keep their playoff hopes alive. Right now, they’re in the play-in spots, and with Davis, they’ve been able to win games including a big road win against the red-hot Bulls.

Well, they won against the red-hot Bulls 120-119 and currently they're 9th now on the standings, and it's because Sacramento lost their game against the Magic.

I don't know if they can get that 8th seed especially now that they're 5 games below the Timberwolves, but they're rolling ever since AD came back and currently on a 2-game winning streak. The remaining schedule of the Mavericks isn't that hard as well. 2 against tanking teams, 3 against Lakers and Clippers, one in Atlanta and Memphis. I believe if they will continue playing like this, they will remain at the 9th seed and will be facing the Kings or maybe the Suns if they play good in their remaining games.

Many fans thought that Mavs is already finish but AD made a great comeback then bring 2 consecutive wins for their team. Now we can see them doing so fine and if they can win more games then provably that they can retain that spot and move in play in.

Even if Mavs are struggling due to injuries still AD made their team became more competitive. So let see how they end up since Suns and Kings  also chasing for more wins. To bad for KD Suns is in bad position and he's about to miss play in and playoffs this season.

Playoffs on West is so exciting since we could see that strong teams are there.

Lakers having a big defensive issue, specially inside, is literally because they lost AD and had not even a remotely similar player at the bench. They are great offensively, because they added Luka, and overall they got better, but they are of course much worse on inside defense.

They will still be decent though, this game against Bulls was something special, you do not expect a team to shoot three threes in a row, one from half court at last second, that was a unique situation and won't happen that often. They also feel a lot more tired by fourth quarter and start playing terribly, which is why they need to learn to rest their players a bit more on early minutes of the games. Probably a lot more on second quarter, and late third quarter.

Sometimes teams want to take "the next step" and this could be something similar here, we are talking about a team that is doing fine, but Memphis isn't at a level where they can win the whole thing with Jenkins, it is not going to happen.

Is the problem with Jenkins as a coach or with the roster Memphis Grizzlies currently, I’m not trying to overestimate Jenkins performance or undermine that of other coaches in the league, I’m not sure a lot of coaches if any would have done a better job than Jenkins in the same situation, I mean with the Grizzlies roster and injuries and all, but you might be right, maybe that’s the right to go for the franchise, to start afresh, I just don’t think a few weeks from the playoffs is the best time to do so.

Ja Morant played tonight, they had a good game against the Lakers, but they fall short as they've lost the first game without Jenkins. It was Luka, Lebron and Austin Reaves who lead the Lakers in this big win. I thought that they are going to lose this game again as Memphis makes a huge comeback and take the lead and has the momentum going into the 4th. But the Lakers makes a huge run as well and that was enough.

Yeah, that was a collective effort from them. Is it safe to call them a "Big 3" already?

I mean, we all know that Luka and LeBron are legit superstars, but Reaves has been playing like one too. His numbers prove it, and you can see the level of trust LeBron and the coach have in him.

Rui Hachimura's return is also a good addition to why they won. They need those shooters back, so AR can do his thing. Still, I won't call it the Big 3 just yet. However, AR is truly playing at a high level because they badly need it. I just wish he can continue that consistency as the Lakers try to secure that 4th spot. The Grizzlies are just behind them with 1 win difference, and there's also the Los Angeles Clippers, who are winning most of their games to keep their spot or go higher for maybe an easier first round in the playoffs.

7-8 games left before the season ends, and then we will be in the play-in tournament. Time is truly fast.

You’re, Either way Memphis vs Lakers is inevitable on the first round of Western Conference playoffs. The recent news about firing the coach Grizzlies before the playoffs shows that they are really crumbling inside.

They have a solid and healthy roster with Ja back in action yet they are still struggling to find their streak that’s why they might this failure to the coaching staff.

It’s a good matchup since both team is both aggressive and focus on offense just lime their todays match that resulted to scoring fest.

I have no clue why people think Offense when they think of Warriors. If you go back and check the stats, those Warriors teams, were incredible on offense of course, but they were even better on defense and ranked the top in defense at all times. So we need to realize, Warriors didn't just shoot threes and won the title, that is not how it works.

If you asked some non-nba people, they would say Warriors were first in offense and first in three points shot, but neither of those is true. So if you really want to make sure you are like Warriors, then you get a better defense, and you build a great offensive team that can find open players, that is the most important part and if you do it well, the efficiency will increase.

It's very different Memphis team right now, obviously, they fired their head coach, but I think the chemistry of the team is not the same anymore like about a couple of years back when they were touted to be the rivals of GSW because there were years that they lock in for a playoff spot and seen Ja as the new kind in town, vs the OG with the likes of Curry and Green.

While the Lakers looks fresh with Luka, so gonna be interesting to see them going into a series. But I think the Lakers will take it maybe in a game 6 series as the experience of Luka and Lebron might be too much for Memphis.

What is the Memphis Grizzlies management thinking? They've fired the man who's helped them bring the team into 5th on the West.

I think that the NBA needs to protect the coaches as well and have that clause that they're not allowed to be fired until the season ends or until the team is out of seed/contention/playoffs.

Must have found someone better that could bring them to the 4th. If not then nice experiment with their team. Only their management knows, it must e an internal issue.
they will regret it if the coach is hired to another team and made that team way superior to Grizzlies. Its possible coaches learns every time as well.

NBA has nothing to do with the coach employment though, its the state.

Yeah, only their management knows what they are up to.

But these teams are doing this for most of the coaches and eventually, a new team will come and hire these fired coaches.

So, if that's the only guarantee they have for these coaches and stability they can offer. I still wish good luck to all of these coaches for their careers.

Yes, it was all about the timing of Jenkins being fired as a coach. And so it means that this could have been brewing for months already and Memphis is tinkering on firing him the soonest. But it looks like they waited to make sure that they've secured a playoff spot regardless of the position before they got rid of Jenkins.

And we all know that coaches in NBA doesn't have job tenure. But the thing is that maybe Jenkins can have another coaching job in any team as he has a good record with Memphis. Doc Rivers was able to get back another coaching job with the Bucks. So hopefully, it will be the same case with Jenkins next year. Might not be a head coach again, but as a assistant coach could be good enough.

Easy win by the Warriors tonight, and surprising to see them scoring 146 points, their highest this season. Podz lead them with seven 3's point shoot, perhaps this is the reason why they didn't want to include him in the trade before as he is now turning into a good player that they have developed. And you know that the Spurs it in trouble of Kevon Looney joined the fun as he hit his first 3 this season. Unfortunately, JK got injured went to the locker room and never comeback as he had suffered a sprain. Just to bad that he just comeback from a two month rest because of a injury as well. Hopefully he might be back in the next couple of games and nothing serious about his injury. They are still strong holding that 6th spot in the West.

Well it's not hard to get better when you are adding a generational talent type player to your roster, and basically get him in the worst trade of all time. If they actually had a big man to help them inside that would help them a lot, for this reason I still don't see them as any danger for OKC.

It's all about Lebron and Luka, that's why the are being cheered in other arenas. And we all know that in this generation, they see Lebron at their Goat so obviously fans are going to follow him everywhere, just like during Jordan's era. Even him playing in hostile environments, you can still fans cheering him.

Good for them to secure the 4 or 5 spot, and it will depends on which team they are going to face in a playoff series. Probably the  Clips, Kings, Wolves, and Mavs would be their potential opponents in the first round.

They got a new coach and then they got Luka, so that is very big for the Lakers this year as now they are in the playoff again. And we all know that it's a very different Luka when it comes to playoff so for sure fans of the Lakers are very excited this coming playoff run for them.

The problem with the Lakers is that, they don't have a back-up bit for Hayes. They signed Alex Len to be the back-up big of the Lakers, but it turns out that it's a failed one because Len is a liability when he's on the court. He doesn't shoot, doesn't rebound. In short, he's inefficient when he's playing that's why the Lakers have a bad defense.

I think it's time for us to move on with the Lakers losing AD. Yes, AD is a better defender (one of the best TBH), that has an ability to score at any given night, but he's with the Mavericks already. The best thing for the Lakers to do is to adjust based on what they have right now especially the playoffs are coming already in a few weeks. They can play small ball for a short amount of time when Hayes is out to rest. They can risk it and let their back-up bigs play as well. I mean adjustments are needed for the Lakers in order to be better in defense. It might be a liability for them currently, but I believe JJ Redick will find a way especially now that playoff is coming.
