LOL, this guy has a tough job because everytime the clippers played against the best teams in the NBA, we usually see Beverly taking in charge of the best players of the opposing team. I even saw him defending Lebron James IIRC but I'm certain he use to guard curry when they played against the GSW.

No, it was Durant which he played defense.
Remember when they both fouled out because of the sticky defense of Beverley? He was doing it on purpose to take out Durant.
Also, he made him thrown out which includes Beverley too. It is not a loss from the Clippers but for GSW which is their assassin.
He cannot keep up on Curry for it will just keep on running without the ball. Exhaustion will stop him and will be a waste for the Clippers.

Erik Spoelstra's extension. This is just a Wow for me. After some mockery from Stephen Smith and Max Kellerman, he still got this great contract.

Williamson should live up to the hype he had in his rookie years that he will have his confidence as top 1 pick in this year's rookie draft. Since he is undersized in his position, we know he is capable of putting bodies on his opponents.

Too early to say about this kid, but he is one ridiculous athlete so I'm sure he will adjusted well in the NBA. He just need someone from behind to really mentor because there's a lot of expectations from his kid. Yes he can be undersized in NBA standards, but since he is a freak of nature, he could really adjust in about one or two years.

Similar to what we witnessed about Giannis, one super freak athlete, the team behind supported him and he evolved very quick, winning the NBA MVP.

Me too, I wanted to see his body going up against tough defenders and looking forward for his highlight reel dunks, Lol. Bust do really happened in every sports to be fair though, we would have thought that Brady will be considered as GOAT, when he is pick 199 overall?

Let's hope that there will be no injuries in his young career, he is too athletic and a injury will derail his NBA career.

Spoelstra is beginning his 12th season as head coach of the Heat, replacing Pat Riley in 2008.

Spoelstra had just one season remaining on his existing deal.

It is a good decision by the management to keep him and gave him a long term contract?

He brought the Heat to the Championship but that was the time when Lebron was still playing, after that, heat struggles in the playoffs and even miss the playoffs during the last season of Wade.

Lol, funny but true. Maybe because he knows how to listen to his players? Lebron is a good coach though. I can confidently say that, because he can play all 5 positions, and he knows how to position yourself from both ends.

It's understandable that the team were not able to be successful in playoffs because they don't have a star unlike in the past they have a big 3.
Now that they have butler and it seems like he is the only star player of the team,  he can showcase his full talent and let's see if that will bring a success to the heat, still a good defensive team but what we observe in the past, they lack talent that will take over in the playoffs competition.

He have the skills but lack of talented players unlike when they've acquired the big three which is really competitive the very reason that they've achieved bringing the titles inside Miami. He got the system that meant to compete with other franchise though they're not getting any good spot from the last season but for sure Coach Spoelstra will excel again. Wish him the best for the rest of his career.

That is what makes him a world different from other superstars who try to dominate every game like the team is a one-man team and relies on him and him alone for every point and win.

Their newly formed team was exposed by the Mavs whose core team remain largely intact and they have been firing on all cylinders. I also remember what the Mavs coach saying the two teams have different playing style, the Heat playing in the air and the Mavs playing on the ground. The game wan won on the ground.

In the ranking based on https://www.oddsshark.com/nba/nba-mvp-betting-odds,, Kawhi is only at rank number 4 with +800.. I think this is justifiable since PG will also score and he was a candidate last season, but its still possible he will become the MVP this season.

Even though Erik Spoelstra was still young at that time looks like he gained the respect of his team specially Wade. But before when they have Bosh, Lebron and Chalmers they were not in sync.
They even lose to Dallas Mavericks even though they have the best roster.
But still like you said it, Pat might have seen something great about this man.
At times he is being ridiculed by basketball analysts and yet look at how much he gained by now. 4 years contract. Wow.
