Yeah, this new duo looks too good. As a result, the 76ers won the Knicks by 16 points tonight. Harden made a triple-double, and Embiid scored 37 points. Base on the 2 games and 2 wins for the Sixers with Harden playing, I think they absolutely won the trade. Though we have seen Simons playing for the Nets, but we all know what Simons can do and what's his limitations.
The Sixers are now a serious threat from the East. The Bucks may not repeat this year nor enter the Finals either. Bulls, Sixers, and a healthy Nets team can beat the defending champs.

That's some nasty amount of turnovers made by the Lakers. 23 in total. 7 of them came from Russ and he was not having a great night.
But I praise the Pelicans coaching staff for blending McCollum with Ingram and it works. They got stronger with their newly made roster, Ingram is full of confidence because of that change and I think McCollum feels at home too. It's a win for both of them while they are climbing the ladder back to enter the play in. 2 win streak for them and 2 losses for the Lakers.

Looks like it's getting tougher for the Lakers and if they continue looking like this then I'd expect they may not get through the playoffs which is sad considering how others expect them the best team for 2021-22 season. There are adjustments for McCollum but I think he's in good shape at Pelicans this time seem to what is doing by Harden on the Sixers uniform.

 The talk around the league is that Lebron is unhappy with the current situation. He told the management they should not get Westbrook and get some shooters, but they saw a superstar and took him anyway. It resulted with the team being bad, and now that they also didn't send him away for a better fit player until the deadline, its obvious they are not going to be great this year. With AD missing 4-5 more weeks on to pof all the games he missed, they are going to suck this year for sure. Lebron is furious that his last years is passing without getting some more rings and he may actually end up leaving. His contract is getting over and he could just do 1 year rental in any place until his son joins the league and just go join that team before he retires. Its a real valid possibility.

If I'm not mistaken, he was the one instrumental of getting Westbrook to the Lakers. He even defending the team in the beginning from the haters. Of course who wouldn't be happy with how the team turns out to be with all the superstars around. There were talks of John Wall - Russ Westbrook before the deadline but the Lakers doesn't want to because Houston is asking for more players. It's up for Lebron to leave Lakers, he might transfer to other teams will waiting for his son to play in the NBA.

I think this might be his last year with the Lakers and after that, he will request a trade for sure and there will be some teams who will be interested with him still.
I don't think that he can still afford to stay on the Lakers one more year with what is happening. Yes he is one of the defenders of Westbrook against bashers but it looks like it didn't work the way he wanted to be. He thought that they can still be a championship contender but they aren't.

Now with what is happening with the Lakers, it seems like their chances of entering the playoffs is going down. Now even the Laker fans aren't like them anymore and they are chanting boo's with the team already. Its understandable though that Lebron aren't the same as he was a few years ago because of his age but the problem is if he isn't playing, the team isn't playing well. AD is injured as well and Westbrook?? No comment for him anymore .

Last night, there was a great game like GSW - Mavericks. GSW were the favourite team to win this game and they started the game very well too. The first quarter was really superb for them. But the last quarter was really shocking to me. Mavericks had an insane quarter and an extraordinary effort brought them a win by 107-101. Doncic's performance was really impressive and he made a big contribution to this win. He had 34 points and 11 rebounds. Curry couldn't carry the team by himself this time.

What teams you are eyeing to move forward on playoffs?

Simply, just take those Top 6 teams that will have a sure slot on the playoffs. It's a safe bet to assume that those teams are now decided.

Surprises are mostly when injuries happen. Like when Chris Paul and James Harden are near winning the WCF against GSW and after that a possible Finals championship then all of a sudden CP3 was injured and Harden cannot handle the heavy load to carry the Rockets team. Now, it's CP3 again with an injury but it is said to heal in 6-8 weeks so there's still room before the playoffs. Phoenix Suns will just need to endure it now and win games they can while their veteran is out.

There are clear favorites in both conferences, and as chaser15 wrote above, we can already assume which teams will play against each other in the first round of the playoffs. So I wouldn't expect any surprises for the rest of the season. Although the Nets are likely to move up in the standings once Durant returns.

Jason Kidd made a good decision in putting a lineup that would best fit to challenge the speed of the Warriors. Luka, Dinwiddie, and Brunson, those 3 players registered 30+ minutes of playtime and I am glad it worked. 10 minutes in the 4th quarter and the run didn't stop while the Warriors only scored 1 point against 19 of the Mavs.
I was shocked too as I was betting for the Warriors but it did happen. We are used to the Warriors doing this kind of comeback but now it's the other way around.

They will only have the Bulls to contend. The Bucks this year are very inconsistent so it might be very difficult for them to reach the finals.

I notice that too, that was a great decision to trade KP because he was inconsistent with the Mavericks. They had already a legit center, not necessary he will score like KP because the Mavericks are surrounded with shooters. I guess they are an improve team this season.

Very important that the Warriors will take every game seriously or treat it like a playoff game. I know they have a good culture and they have a winning culture so they'll certainly correct their mistake and make sure they'll win games when they reach the playoffs. Like what I previously mentioned, the tandem of Harden + Embiid reminds of that era where 1+2 PG and Big men used to dominate the ring. We all know on how capable Harden can be when he is with a Center that can finish his pick and rolls. Since that he is teamed up with arguably the best center on the league, he just fitted perfectly on the chemistry of the 76ers.

With regard to Simmons, I do hope that he finds his role perfect on the Nets. If he can consistently develops his jumper, then he can find a good place in the Nets. Along with his height, passing skills, and dribble, he can definitely dish out amazing passes to scorers in his team.

The Lakers only have a month left to secure their spot in the playoffs, but I think their road is already expected especially now that AD have been injured again and they said it will take 4-6 weeks for him to get back on the court. Also, WB is having his worst year but they still have a chance and will likely join the play-in tournament but I doubt that they can survive that.

Same here, if Durant comes back in time, then they can still survived in the regular games and go with the playoffs.

And then with Simmons waiting for his time and they occasional Irving being inserted, they could still manage to last 6th-7th spot in the East and automatic playoff berths. It might not be good position at they are going to face the top teams but we will never know specially with KD at the lineup.

It's more likely that they will gonna secure their spot in the NBA playoffs once Kevin Durant and Ben Simmons will play together and we will gonna see more improvement with Ben Simmons once he really does his job and play real basketball in Brooklyn Nets. This is one of the reasons why they really need to consider changing their rules when it comes to Kyrie Irving because he is one of the keys to unluck their strong performance to climb to the NBA finals but they instead choose to make it hard for him until today.

Got some good news about that, Kevin Durant is likely to play again as early as 1st week of the March and the Nets will be much more stronger again as their injured superstar will come back again to dominate the court. Durant almost missed 20 games after he suffered a sprained MCL in his left knee.

That's what happens when you sit out like a baby.  Them muscles tighten up.  I don't hate the kid but I Lost respect for what he did.  Quit on his teammates.  Can't say I'd be super excited if I was on the Nets to have him on the team.  I would like to see a Nets sixers playoff series though now   don't think Ben would be treated kindly if he drives the paint

At first, it wasn't quite a big deal when he was in the Sixers but he began his drama and left the team hanging that's why Embiid doesn't respect him anymore. I think Simmons have been using his drama to cover up his mistakes that isn't that consistent anymore in the court and that he is having a hard time shooting, we can all see his stats from that time.

Yeah, the Nets shouldn't rely on Simmons as he have a history about that already, the kid will and can play good but he can't be trusted anymore in times of pressure.

Their next game is a rematch against the Knicks, so if there's no injury on the Sixers while practicing then I think it's quite safe to assume that they will defeat the Knicks and yes, they really won the trade. Harden is a good additional asset to the Sixers that can be a really big help for Embiid, now they're safe because they sure have secured a spot on the playoffs.

How about the Miami Heat? Don't forget them because they are also a big threat in the East and right now they're in the 1st spot on the ECF.
