And, that's why Morris wasn't with the team during the last game, the report that he wasn't on the team maybe he was upset he got the news. Well, I'm a Clippers fan but I don't know how they would make this thing work out, their depth is good at least if they have all the healthy players though. I hope Harden just play better now that his wish was fulfilled and he should be or he would just to leave with another team again.

I'm not even sure if their coach is built to handle this many all-stars in one team. The addition of Harden messes up the team chemistry of the three that's been built already.

No, not yet. Let's refrain from drawing conclusions at this point. Even before they acquired Harden through a trade that involved multiple players, they had thoroughly analyzed this factor. They recognized that without changes to the team, reaching the Finals was unlikely. With Harden on board, even in the event of an injury to one of their starters, they still have three, so their main focus now, apart from building team chemistry, is to enhance their second unit.

Speculations and doubts about this trade are not without basis since we know how they usually play and we have the history to refer to. I bet the Nets and 76ers also made a thorough analysis even before they acquired Harden. I'm pretty sure they also thought he would enhance the team and increase their chances of NBA Finals.

Westbrook used to be a triple-double machine, consistently averaging at least double-digit points, rebounds, and assists in his seasons with OKC, Houston, and Washington. His struggles began when he joined the LA Lakers, and this decline continued during his time with the Clippers. At least, we've seen him in higher spirits with the Clippers than he was with the Lakers, which is why he accepted a smaller contract, perhaps in hopes of finally winning a championship. Now that they have Harden, things are looking up. However, the only potential roadblock to their success would be if Harden were to display immaturity, as he has done in the past.

Nic Batum. Oh, what a waste. One of their great defenders. KJ Martin is a young promising talent. Well, I think the Clippers still won this trade. But I do wish it would work out with so many guards on their roster now.
The "Win Now" motto is what Steve Ballmer wants and I do believe this should be it. He already filled his roster with high-paid players so if this still won't work then he might just wave the white flag and start all over again with young players.
I am not really a fan of superstars piling up on one team making it a super team so I don't like it and I believe this will not work out, in my own opinion only.
Well, Harden played with WB and WB played with PG13, who knows, they might build their own chemistry in a short span of time.

At the start of this drama, the Sixers really wanted Mann to be included in the trade. Of course the Clippers don't want that because he's a good role player, and his energy on the court is always at it's highest. Now the Sixers are trying to remove the burden, and that's Harden thus, they took the trade. Trading Harden for some role players plus draft picks? The Sixers have no choice, but the Clippers won on this one... or are they? Let's take note that it turned out to be a three-team deal, and the third team would be the Thunder though what they got are just future draft picks.

Do I see the Clippers a title contender now? Still no because like what others said, Kawhi, and PG are injury prone. Maybe the tandem of Harden, and Westbrook will work, but who knows. Still I don't see them winning the West. As for the Sixers, it's a huge gamble for them, but that would be better than having a player who might be a burden for them during the whole season. Now with Harden gone, they will rely on Embiid, and will gamble on Maxey to be an all-star caliber player in order for them to compete against the other East teams like the Bucks, and the Celtics.

I don't want to be pessimistic, but this Clippers team might be the same as the time where Kobe, Nash, and Howard are on the same team, but didn't achieve anything. This might be even worse TBH because it consists of 4 all-star players. I might be wrong though. Others might be wrong as well, but let's see how the Clippers will perform the whole season now that they already have solved their problem now for a very long time, and that is to have a solid Point Guard.

Honestly, I'm in a bit of shock looking at the terms of this deal. On the one hand, it's good that the drama around Harden is finally over. On the other hand, the Clippers clearly gave the 76ers too much for Harden and old Tucker. Personally, I think the Clippers may regret it already at the end of this season because Harden is not only capable of scoring a lot of points and making a lot of assists, but he is also capable of ruining the team chemistry of any team he plays for.

Clippers gave up a lot of player just to acquire Harden that has totally zero defense and less sharp shooter. The only way they can benefit on this trade is when Kawhi and PG can finish a whole season without any injury until finals.

But Kawhi and PG has history with the Clippers getting injured before and during the playoffs. And I think they really gave up a lot of good players and their perimeter defenders just to get Harden.

I’m not a fan of Harden especially now that Big man is the new meta on NBA. I wonder how will Clippers can stop team like Nuggets or Bucks when they have this kind of line-up which is pure offense. They are heavily reliant to a complete star roster with this built.

Clippers management made another bad move, the team is not going to get even against The Suns or even against the Warriors with this roster. Too much firepower with no defense at all. Not sure who is going to get the last shot here. Just like what happen to their previous games. Kawhi was guarded make a pass to Westbrook, in turn air balling it. If I'm a Clipper fan, I'm going to be made with the James Harden trade.

The league is going to mess up badly with this team. Jarden, Westbrook, Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are a very good squad, I hope they can be champions.

Uhmm they look scary on paper, but I still have doubts on whether or not they'll gonna gel together or at least how this team is gonna work. We've seen enough of old superstars stacking together on the same team, it usually ends up so bad.
Let's see how the Clippers are gonna make this team work, because IMO, this team aren't gonna beat the Nuggets though.
They have traded away most of their PF, so most probably they're gonna play small ball, something that don't work against a top rebounding team.

On paper yeah, they looks scary, but they don't have the chemistry in my opinion. I don't know, but it seems that this organization can't really find the perfect players for their franchise. They acquire Leonard from Toronto after winning a ring with them, but after that Kawhi was not healthy. Same with PG as they always fell short in every playoffs. And now they bring another headache in James Harden, trading their defensive players and then some future picks for nothing. James Harden ego though, he was able to get what he wanted, I think the NBA should put protection for the teams as well and not just give in to every trade this superstars wanted. Harden has been doing it, he goes to Houston and said that he wanted out, he go to Brooklyn, and then when everything is not falling, he wants to be traded and his wish was granted and goes to Sixers. Now the same thing happen.

Klay Thompson in the first half and then Steph Curry found his hot hand in the 4th quarter to give the Warriors another W.
Almost everyone is hitting their threes and that includes Gary Payton who will all know has been bad at shooting distance shots. Their 3rd quarter was a bad one and that made the Rockets come back to take the lead.
But the key to winning is for Steph to get his rhythm and he did at the crucial point of the game. 3 consecutive threes and he added more in the final minutes to put a dagger in the game. Draymond is back and I think the player rotation got messed up so Steve Kerr would need to find a way to fix that.

The San Antonio Spurs are being crushed by the LA Clippers now. 30-point lead and I don't think they can return from that. Expect this to be a blowout game.
Milwaukee Bucks on the other hand received their first loss of the regular season against the Hawks, worse it was at their home.

After seeing the recent games of the Golden State Warriors after their loss against the Phoenix Suns I was really frustrated with it because it was their 1st game but after seeing that they are doing great with their next 3 games against the Sacramento Kings, Stephen Curry has 41 points, Houston Rockets  Stephen Curry got 24 points and with the New York Pelicans Stephen Curry got 42 points and for sure this teams really had a hard time against the Warriors with Stephen Curry on the team, for sure the Warriors is fine if they have Curry on the team,

Damn, I dodged a bullet with the Bucks losing at home against the Hawks.

Wanted to bet on this game, obviously on Milwaukee, and thank god I didn't.
Would have not expected them to lose this game in blowout fashion, pretty much game over at halftime. Of course it also didn't help that Dame had a horrible night. Without him contributing and Middleton sitting out there is nothing Giannis can do by himself.

The rest of the night was pretty much as expected with all huge blowout wins for the favourites. Only Sacramento as mentioned was a nice game vs the Lakers, happy they beat them in OT.

I have seen that game where Damian Lillard instead of becoming a Secret weapon for the Milwaukee Bucks became a weight for the team and got many turnovers in the game Damian Lillard just got 4 rebounds 5 assists and 6 points for this game for sure he is still getting his chemistry with the team as the Bucks losing against the Atlantic Hawks maybe the Hawks looks like a different team now,

You forgot to mention John Wall. I don't really see the Clippers winning a championship, even though they have James Harden now, because they lack solid defense and a reliable center. Maybe they can also sign Dwight Howard since he is available right now (If possible why not). Let's see what happens this season as James Harden and Westbrook were teammates before on the Rockets and OKC. Hopefully, there will be a different outcome. A championship? 😮‍💨

Every single player is past their prime, even PG13 and KL in my opinion. All these injuries and so on took a toll on them.

Worth mentioning their prime had passed already, these legends won't be effective on winning the championship if not playing on their prime, we know how good rookies this year are. And to be honest, I don't think James Harden does not fit that good to the Clippers since they already have PG13 who's outside shooting is still great. They got WB and Kawhi on perimeters as well. Who's gonna take that last winning shot? Definitely not Westbrook, please don't.

I do agree that big shooting man is the new meta in the NBA and we can see that coming from Nuggets, Spurs and Thunder.

But I'll give this roster a chance.

The size issue will be their biggest problem. I mean its true that none of these players are at their prime anymore, and not many players would be able to sustain such a longevity anyway. However, even without their prime, if they can all be %100 healthy, they would be a great team. The issue is not that they are not at their prime, the issue is that Westbrook acts like he can shoot, instead of his usual driving, Harden plays absolutely no defense, Kawhi doesn't even play, dude had 50 games last year, no games the year before that and 52-57 games two seasons before that, so he basically doesn't play, and doesn't show up much on playoffs neither, only player that could be trusted there is PG, who still does his best, even if its not enough. So all in all, a clippers with Westbrook, Harden, Kawhi and PG that plays 70+ games each, and plays all playoff games? I would say a title contender easily, even this year beyond their peak, but I bet %100 guarantee that they will not play that many games, most of them will keep on missing games.

They do not have much of a choice or they will be playing like they are a crippled team without a superstar who is eating a lot of their salary cap. It's a waste of time to keep on waiting for Harden to change his mind because he won't. They learned their lesson from the Ben Simmons drama where it took a year without him playing before they decided to let him loose.

Correct. A competition inside a team in my opinion is not a healthy team. They need to work together and I don't think piling up superstars is the answer for making it to the championship. But who knows, I might be wrong. Lebron, Wade, Bosh, and Allen made it happen but it took them 2 years without a championship before it worked out. After that, we have not seen a super team win a championship yet and please don't add the Golden State Warriors because they ain't a super team back then. They are just normal unknown players who built great chemistry that's why they won.

Harden to the Clippers must of been announced while the late games were still being played. While watching the usual sports shows nothing was mentioned by yesterday afternoon.
You knew something was going to happen with James Harden since he was missing team practice and then not in the lineup so a reshuffling within the 76er's team roster was bound to happen. And better to occur early in the season than after two months when the season is in full swing and the In-Play tournament has already happened which is scheduled for early next month.

Better early. That's true. And like I said it's the 76ers that needed to do this quickly because they are the ones on the losing side. They will take a decent trade just to save their roster from falling apart. I think the Clippers won the trade but the 76ers were forced to do this so it's a win situation for them too.

But when the Spurs are eating that lead slowly, they have to bring back Durant but the Suns young players keeps fighting on and that steal from Durant was a non call.

As for Wemby, he is not playing center though and maybe that's the reason he is not getting any rebounds and he loves to play in the outside and he is not giving enough minutes though, less than 30 a game maybe they don't want to overextend the kid and getting injured.

Didn't the same thing happen when Harden joined the Brooklyn Nets and Durant was there that season?
They were the worst by the end and it was an experiment gone completely off the rails. Think it was during the lockdown.
Alot of wasted money and talent left on the table with taking these players prime years away from the game.

Hearing about the Clippers receiving all these superstars on the same roster sounds like it is happening all over again.
Atleast Kawhi is having a ball with it and now has a partner to party with in the club.

Noticed this aswell.
Having placed props on him he didn't get close to any of them.
The last time I put anything on him he had 6 points going into the 4th frame then went on a scoring spree but only ended up with 15pts by the end of it.
Him not getting those 10 rebounds does seem the coaching staff are limiting him to perform at his highest potential. Since it is just the start of the season.
