That's really some crazy numbers tonight.
Embiid's numbers seem a little inflated though since he also has 21/23 free throws and took overall 41 shots from the field, with 24/41 that's a good FG % though. He took 41 of the team's 97 GD attempts, that's a quite a lot.

On the other hand he got those 70 in only 37 minutes and with only 1 made 3 pointer. Normally if you see these super high scores there are plenty of 3s going with it.

Anyway, big night it was indeed!

Ask him to perform in playoffs against some tough defence . Mans too soft for that. Won't take away the 70 points against the worst team in the Western Conference though. Will give him some credit.

But Embiid's 70 points are way more historical since he clashed with Wemby and it won't be forgotten unless he makes another even more personal score in the future versus Embiid in their next game next few years from now. If only he could shoot more threes and make it count in that game, surely he will be able to surpass Kobe's 81 points but let's just wait for it maybe next time it would be possible since big men nowadays are both dominating inside and outside the 3 point-line as well.

So you didn't follow Devin Booker when he scored 70 points in March 2017?
Many players have already done this and it will be more amazing if he is playing against a team who is playing good defense against frontcourt players.
Also, please look at the field goals. He made 41 attempts and made 24 out of them. Since when did we see a player shoot 41 attempts? James Harden is back on the Houston Rockets in 2019. Who is the coach? Mike D'Antoni, is an offensive coach who likes to run and gun.
76ers was never that type of a team and yet, they reach that amount for Embiid. Why? I will leave that to your imaginations.

What I like more is the Boston Celtics defeating the Dallas Mavericks at their home nd the Minnesota Timberwolves also being defeated by the Charlotte Hornets at their home. An upset that will be remembered with LaMelo Ball recording 13 assists.

Dallas are sometimes inconsistent but we can't discount their opponent as they are against the best team in the NBA now (I guess). I was thinking that Dallas having a good rest will be able to defeat the Celtics, but I didn't see what i expected as right from the start celtics are already dictating the game.

About the Wolves, that's unreal. They are -15 on bookies, means they could win easily but indeed it was an upset. LaMelo is really special though, with him this shitty team gets better.

They are tired of losing I guess, and with this win by the Grizzlies, we've seen how big the impact of losing Siakam. Of course, they can't expect a playoff spot after giving one of their best player if not the best.

Memphis are so unpredictable too, they even beat the Suns without Morant, so how much more the Raptors who aren't as good as the Suns. They are paying the price now, but I believe they understand this possibilities will happen without Siakam, so they'll play their cards, regardless of the outcome of their ranking this season, because they are sure next season they'll be able to acquire young and talented players. That's the price for letting Siakam go, they'll get the number 1.

His score only shows that his teammates don’t contribute much on the game because they are just a head by 10pts with that kind of monster scoring. He also get 20+ point on free throw alone which show how amateur the enemy is on defending him.

Sixers won 6 in a row and after Embiid named players of the week, he dropped 70 on Spurs tonight. That's a franchise record. He scored 30+ in 20 games in a row.
Wemby dropped 33 in his limited time after his injury, doctors don't let him play more yet.
In Timberwolves game Towns dropped 60 and there is still one more quarter left. What a crazy night. Meanwhile I'm watching Celtics game, they widened the gap in the third quarter.

Embiid's 70 points, and Towns' 62 points is only the 4th time where both players scored 60+ or more in a single night.
What's amazing is that, it also happened during the 18th anniversary of the late Kobe Bryant's historical 81 point game against the Raptors. This is a very historical day indeed.

Maybe let's give some credits to Durant's 43 points as well on their win against the Bulls. It seems like the Spurs really are careful about Wemby, eh? Well, it's their generational player so I guess they will be careful to him not to get injured.

Embiid was absolutely a beast in this match. He was unstoppable. And let's be honest, it was his night. He almost single-handedly was able to win his team the match. Of course, his team supported him well. But he was the main man for sure. And his performance was definitely one of a kind. Will do not see that kind of performance every other day from even that best of players. Spurs did play well. But that was never going to be enough. They also needed someone who could pull off a performance like Joel Embiid.

I am seeing lately a lot of emotional posts on socmed about D'Los transfer. Well, it's painful to see a good player like him to be that much emotional but this is just temporary emotion and he'll get to move on with that soon.

What's important to him is he's at good shape and prove the LAs management that they've traded the wrong guy that have passion for the sport and the team that he's playing with.

What I think about Embiid's 70-point career high tonight was an exclamation point and part of welcoming a rival center position in the league. We saw the video of him getting near with Wemby and was shocked on his height, absolutely terrifying as a center on his POV but he got more mass and muscle that could easily get the advantage in the paint in terms of power and force to get offensive and defensive rebounds.

What should we be looking now is the Miami heat acquiring Terry Rozier, we know Rozier's impact with Hornets and now he's in a team with higher championship chances.

I've seen this trade and news lately and Heat really knows what's best for them. I have nothing against Kyle Lowry but that's it for him and Heat with his role. Getting Terry Rozier by the Heat is a good deal. While Hornets is on the building phase and Ball needs some help there, let's see on how they're going to go up with the new roster that they're adding to their pool.

But in all seriousness, if Ball wants to have a championship ring, he needs to step out of the Hornets and ask the management for him to get traded somewhere. If not, will he be able to bring the team at least to the playoffs or semis? we'll see if Lowry's going to be effective with that. Having that experience and being a ring and title holder, he's probably gonna be a big help for the talents there.

I guess, he's trying to boost his trade value to get traded for a good piece and land to a better team, a playoff contender team. It maybe just a speculations but it does really looks like Rui and DLo's demeanor after the game is really off and that something is about to happen to them. I honestly hate how the Lakers have been changing their roster to try to make it better ever year. If these guys get traded, I only hope DLo and Rui to drain 3s and defeat the Lakers with their possible new team lol.

I agreed jokic is more impact full in terms of all around and making his team better but honestly he has a better team than embid does.  Maxey is an OK player same with Tobias Harris but embid is jus5 foot stomping people.  In terms of dominating I've been watching the games and he is playing just unstoppable right now.  If he can be more consistent with teams over .500 he is right there with mvp talks again.
