Los Angeles Clippers are on a great winning streak. Kawhi Leonard was magnificent again, scoring 45 points in 39 minutes in their 118-101 victory over Utah. The Clippers have two home games remaining against Boston and Golden State, both high-stakes matches. If the Clippers can maintain this form, they will have gained significant momentum.
 They are still 12th in the Western Conference, and they need to improve their performance.

In fact, the Clippers have exactly the same number of wins and losses as the Jazz, and they are currently in 11th place in the standings. Regarding the Clippers' winning streak, it is impressive how well Kawhi has been playing. Honestly, it's unclear what prevented them from performing as well at the beginning of the regular season, thereby avoiding difficulties for themselves in the fight for a playoff spot

I think it's just a momentum shift. Even though they were not playing well and have lost to some below par teams previously, they were able to find their rhythm.

Honestly, they can still improve their standing as long as Kawhi remains healthy. Looking at their matchups this January, I think the Knicks could be the most challenging for them. This January is their chance to improve their standing. After the Celtics game, if Curry, Butler, and Green still won’t play, that would be an easy win for the Clippers.

It's normal for GSW to lose to OKC because OKC is the best team in the league right now. Doesn't mean best team in the league will win the title, but the possibility is very high. OKC already doing a great job and they are so good that they are literally looking to break the regular season record Warriors are holding.

OKC has 5 losses so far, if they finish 9 or better, then they will be record holders, it is not going to be easy though, they already played 35 games, so there are still nearly fifty games left, about 47 or so? Which means another 5 losses during the same period is very likely. In any case, they are great and losing to them, by any team, is very normal and nothing to be worried about since OKC is doing so fine.

They might deny it as we have seen Durant or Lebron still playing high level basketball. But sooner or later, as what we have said, Father time is undefeated. But there are reports that they are interested on Giannis and so that could be their last effort to salvage this season and hope that they can still be a champion.

Victor Wembanyama will miss his second straight game after suffering a hyperextended left knee against the New York Knicks on Wednesday night.

The San Antonio Spurs star didn't travel with the team to Indianapolis for Friday's 123-113 win over the Indianapolis Pacers. He was reportedly expected to be questionable for Saturday night's home meeting with the Portland Trail Blazers, but according to the NBA's injury report Wembanyama has been ruled out with left knee soreness.

After leaving Wednesday's win over the Knicks Wembanyama was confident the injury wouldn't sideline him for long.

"I was this close to going back into the game, but they had to hold me back," Wembanyama said.

Yeah, he is almost on the brink of being forced to play the game. Thankfully, he was stopped.
I get it. He is young, energetic, and a competitive type of person, but he also must consider that he is being protected by the Spurs management, and they will probably do anything to stop him from playing if ever they see something wrong about him and his body.
It's a big investment. His team is not playing that badly. They are 25-9 and at the 2nd rank of the West. He must learn to trust his teammates and take the rest.

The legacy couldn’t last forever. Steph is getting old and not so baby faced anymore. Klay is gone. Draymond is a shell of his former self only with a worse attitude. Jimmy was a nice band aid, but he isn’t good enough to replace what age has taken. Anything short of a Giannis trade and this team is done.

It's good that the Spurs management has stop him, otherwise we really don't know what's going to happen to him if he came back. And for what's it worth, even if they win but later on they found out the extend of his injuries is worst that they initially though, then they might have regret their decision to let him play.

I think he trust his team mates, but it was just the competitive in him that he really wanted to help and contribute. And he was just coming from a sideline as well that's why he is eager to come back and play. But right now, it's better for him to take a rest and assessed his injury day by day.

GSW seems to be not wanna win vs OKC and Kerr not playing kuminga again, seems like he really hates the guy, and not sure if he has injury, putting him injured in the last minute seems odd, the team has no butler Steph, Dray, and the best or player that can play is kuminga and still denied, i would have gone wild, if was in his position, but kudos for being professional, they don't want him to succeed, now I'm thinking is Kerr a racist or something, would would you deny a player to showcase the talent if you are paying him? what's your thought guys?

While it is true that Lakers got the win, I wouldn't say they are doing that fine. First of all, they are playing with a very limited rotation, which tires the players that they have.

Good teams try to rest players that they have, so that during playoffs they wouldn't be gassed, and by the looks of it, Lebron and Doncic are playing most of the game, high level minutes, and tired. That gets them the win they need which is great but they can't keep this up for all 82 games ending, that would make them tired at playoffs.

I wonder whether this will be another season in which Wemby misses like the half amount of the games in regular season. The difference this season is at least Spurs are able to get wins even without him.

He is expected to miss the Trail Blazers game too by the way. But I don't think that will be a game they would lose either. But in playoffs stage Wemby will be needed a lot to be competitive for reaching finals.

Yeah that was unexpected and I don't want to believe the rumor but I think they really need someone like Brooks to be on Lakers, he's probably the missing piece of their shitty defense. They need to change that system and let their role players to play and provide decent help to rest their stars, similar to what you said they can't always play the game like this as there are teams like OKC who got a deeper lineup who can rotate their players and have that same system with the use of their role players.

It's a win though and surely fans love seeing Luka and LeBron sharing the court with an impressive productions to help the team to win.

Golden State rested all of their key players against Oklahoma. They knew they wouldn’t be able to win this game and in my opinion, they made the most logical decision. Right now, the only team that seems capable of competing with Oklahoma is San Antonio.

Houston will be playing Dallas shortly and my clear favorite is Houston. I’m expecting a convincing win for Houston in this game.

The old Warrior is aging and now old. Their future stars are gone (most of them) they want to focus on steph's last chance and they are doing it.
So many young stars were sent to other teams just to make it, and they are still far from it.

I think you’re absolutely right, This warriors team seems different from the one that we previously used to watch for many years now, and I must say that is because Steph Curry who usually carry this team on his back is gradually getting old and that is something we can’t ignore, especially when a team used to play so well and we’re now seeing a fall off from one of the greatest players that player the game, and his been frequently injured.

You mentioned they can’t make it more than the Semi-Finals but I’m thinking they can’t even make it into the Semi- Finals.

Boston defeated the Clippers by 31 points, winning 115-146 on the road, ending the Clippers' winning streak.
Kawhi had a somewhat subdued performance, scoring 22 points.
Jaylen Brown, however, had a great game for Boston, finishing with 50 points.

The Clippers will face Golden State in their next game.

Houston lost to Dallas 110-104 on the road. Alperen was injured early in the game. He finished the game with 1 rebound. If Alperen had played, Houston wouldn't have lost. Hopefully, Alperen's injury isn't serious.
