San Antonio led 105-101 with one minute remaining, but ultimately lost 106-105. These things happen in basketball; scores can change even in the final seconds, but this was a bit absurd.
Some of the recent NBA results have become quite nauseating.

It's strange that Wemby wasn't on the court in the final minute.

This was San Antonio's second consecutive loss. Next up is the Lakers game; I'm starting to wonder what they'll do in that match.

What do you mean? That is part of the game, we really don't know what will happen in the last few seconds of the game that's why NBA is one sports that is very exciting, specially if you have a bet and think that you might have lost it already but then again, the other team make a huge comeback and win the game. Maybe the coach didn't put Wemby as he might draw attention and make them unpredictable. Or it was minute restriction as he was coming from an injury. The thing is that they could have made some subs to offense to defense in the last couple of minutes.

Thunder have lost 5 of their last 10 games. People hyped them up so much that some were comparing them to the legendary Warriors or Bulls, even calling them the greatest team ever. Honestly, I don't think their championship means much given the circumstances... they play way too aggressive, almost trying to injure opponents without getting called for fouls. Meanwhile, Shai gets a whistle for even the slightest contact.
The refs even managed to push Chris Finch who is usually a very calm guy to his breaking point during the Wolves game a few weeks ago. I think something changed after that game. The refs started calling more fouls against them and since then, OKC has been struggling.

Well, I can't blame those people, and I guess I might've had a part of it as well, but if you looked at how they played in their first few games, they're just dominating the league. They currently still have the highest point differential right now with +13.62. That's a bit higher before they lost to the Spurs, Suns, and Hornets. They're dominating the league, and defeating team after team by more than 15+ points, so I can't blame them if they're comparing them to the legendary teams.

I mean that's just how the league is right now. People will hype teams if they wanted to. Right now, it's the Pistons that they're hyping because of how they're playing right now and you know what, you can't blame or criticize them because it's called "freedom of speech". People can hype whoever they want to, and there's nothing wrong with it.

As for the Thunder though, their road to 73-9 is coming to an end since we don't think that they'll win on their remaining games and will only lose 2. That's realistically impossible.

I understand why people are hyped but I never liked OKC's style of play. Like I said, they play way too aggressive and the referees always helped them. There were many games where Shai used 25 or 30 free throws. If someone touches him, it's a foul. But when OKC players do the same thing, the refs say play on. It was so obvious. Now that the refs started calling more fair fouls after the Wolves game, we see their real level.

But now, it seems that the NBA commissioner has noticed it and so they ask the referee to be fair in calling fouls on OKC. And with that, SGA can't get his usual free throws because as you can see he intentionally bump his defender. Now if he does that, not only did the referee not calling fouls, but he misses a lot of shots now.

In the NBA for the 2026 season, without fear of being wrong, it will once again be the Oklahoma Thunder who become champions. This year they look more experienced and stronger

I think I’m going to disagree with what you have said, obviously because there are teams who are also doing very well in the NBA season, I have been watching San Antonio Spurs they seems to be playing well in the Western Conference as well, and I like watching that team play basketball, Victor Wembanyama have been very consistent and strong in this NBA season, I think if he gets to the playoffs Finals and ends up winning the Finals then I must tell you that he gets the MVP award but boy is absolutely good with his basket and defense of the game and dunking, he is a beast and a joy to watch in this basketball season, he is very young and have the future ahead of him.

Well that's a question that will be answered after the playoffs as both teams are impressive they are composed of promising stars who really excite the fans, I guess aside from those two young form teams Houston and Denver together with Lakers and GSW they are still capabel in the west side, it's too early to conclude who's going to win the title though like that post above OKC can defend their title and might win another one.

I'm disappointed with the support Alperen Şengün has got so far. I thought he would be in top 10 but the gap with Reaves is quite big.

East side looks nice but West could be better than this. Voting still continues until January 14 by the way so we will see.

Şengün now breaking into the top 10, ahead of Austin Reaves, so for sure the fans of Şengün are very happy to see him now in the list. Hopefully though, he will recover in time before the All-Star as we all know that he is sideline with a injury.

Sam Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Lakers facing off on ESPN tonight in what should be a good game. Both teams have similar records and it is quite possible this could be a playoff matchup down the line. Worth the watch…

I am sure Wemby will come back and have more minutes, right now he is limited to a number and that is why he doesn't play much to make sure they can play him as much as they need during the playoffs, because if they play him 30-35 minutes right now, then he will not be playing in playoffs and probably will get injured.

With a 20 minute cap on his minutes, they are hoping that can allow him to play 30 minutes at least, maybe more, during playoffs. Plus they are doing good on spot, they are in good standing, it's guaranteed that they will be in playoffs unless they go on a horrible losing streak. They are the team that beat OKC twice, even without Wemby playing much, so it's clear that they are seen as a good team.

To me Kevin Durant is absolutely one of the best players in NBA history. When it comes to my opinion on him I think his potential could have been even higher than this. He could have had more impressive statistics.

But he isn't like other special players such as LeBron. He doesn't want to take such a big responsibility. If he did he could have actually had more insane statistics so far. But it is his choice of playing style of course so I respect that.

When you look at Lebron’s skills, his individual and team trophies, his records and the championships he won, you can see in a few seconds that these are impossible for an ordinary person in the NBA. But we must accept one thing, if he played in Europe instead of the NBA, fans would probably boo him because of his recent performance. The NBA is more about show and entertainment so he will probably play for a few more years.

It's nice to see the fan votes increasing, but 2 week injury period could affect Alperen Şengün's chances of making the All-Star team. I hope he returns as soon as possible. He was selected as an All-Star last year. This season he has improved all his statistics except rebounds. He has played 28 games this season. Normally this would be enough to be an All-Star, but since the bench are not chosen by fan votes, I can't be certain that he will be selected.

The Wizards have deactivated Corey Kispert and CJ McCollum for tonight’s game vs. the 76ers. Their salaries match up with Trae Young. Looks like Trae is a Wizard. Probably just a matter of finalizing the details before an announcement is made.

SGA’s foul baiting is even better than James Harden’s before. I agree, I don’t think the NBA is trying to make SGA the face of the league. He’s good, no question about that, but his playing style doesn’t fit being the face of the NBA. Or maybe his greatness isn’t enough yet. For me, he doesn’t have that kind of aura you expect from the face of the league. His playing style isn’t aura farming. It feels like if he retires, he’ll mostly be remembered for foul baiting.

Respect to him for what he has done with the league especially with scoring. I just hope that he will play more years despite of being the player with the most earned money in NBA history right now. Unfortunately though, Durant will likely be remembered by many as the player that don't know how to lead his team, and the player who can't win any title or ring without Steph beside him because that's the fact. He left GS in hoping to win a title without Steph, but look at what happens. Still no ring.

Durant is arguably one of the best players in NBA history no doubt about that, but I don't think that he's comparable with Lebron. I have no hate against Lebron despite of him kind of being manipulative especially with the trades on the Lakers, but he's too far away compared to Durant especially when it comes to achievements in their career. Very, very far away. Heck, we don't even see Durant in the GOAT conversation - one thing that Lebron always in when analysts talk about it.

Well as for Durant, I think he's at a point where he don't chase rings anymore, but he's more of a money. I mean it's not his priority anymore since he's nearing his post-prime years already... or who knows. The Rockets might win a title this year.

Lol, I think Trae Young has his times with the Hawks, and yes, he have this image of really cold during playoffs. Who would forget when he did the choke against the Knicks and their fans during their playoff run. And with this trade, I think it will be the Wizards who won in paper. As you have said, maybe Young will average 20-30 ppg and 10 assists with the Wizards as he will be the one doing the scoring. So it will be like that he is in the old Atlanta wherein he was their leader and putting up MVP numbers and performances during his prime years with them.
