Oklahoma has lost two games in a row. And they've lost to teams they shouldn't lose to. Two days ago they lost to Indiana. Tonight they lost to Toronto by 2 points, 101-103.
This year, their longest losing streak has been 2 games in a row. Their next game will be against New Orleans. Let's see if they'll have three consecutive losses or if they'll stay at 2 losses again.

I’m pretty sure a lot of us also got burned betting on the OKC thunder as heavy favorites. I can already imagine the faces of gamblers who added OKC to their parlays thinking it was a sure win, only for it to turn into another upset by their opponent. 

For sure, but I also had action on the other game and ended up losing that one too.

Well let see if there's surprising situations will happen since its interesting to see on which team on lower standing can able to make a surprising comeback in this season.

That’s the reason I hate betting on favorites since star players sometimes doesn’t play in full capacity to avoid being injured or they easily give up the game when the gap was already high compared on crucial matches that even a 30points blow out early game can still be reversed on the last quarter.

I believe teams on the top that clinch to other team or with just 1 to 2 W advantage are the one that will still be eager to win to place a much better spot to face low seed team on the playoffs.

Are you talking about the current San Antonio Spurs, or the old Spurs with Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginóbili?
Because I honestly can’t remember the Spurs ever tanking back then, they were usually the ones beating top teams.

With the current roster, it’s different. They’ve barely made noise playoff-wise, especially after Victor Wembanyama got injured. So if we’re talking about tanking or inconsistent results, you might be referring to a different era, because the current Spurs were never really about that kind of approach.

They aren't gunning for the record in the first place. It's just that the media is overhyping them like they're better than the 2016 Warriors where they ended the regular season with 73-9 and TBH, I can't blame them because the Thunder really are like an unbeatable during their first games, and at one point, they only lost once in their last 25 game so it doesn't surprised me that these analysts are hyping them like they're better than the 72-10 Bull and the 73-9 Warriors.

I wonder which San Antonio are you talking though because if you're talking about the current one, I don't think that they're not letting their players play just for the sake of them being healthy when playoff comes. We're just nearing the half of the season, so I don't think that it's the perfect time for them to do it. They can do it in the final games of the regular season and when they're spot is guaranteed already. Right now, they're tied with Denver, and 2.5 games above the 4th seeded Rockets. They aren't chasing for the top in the first place, but with how they're playing, I will not be surprised if they will end up in the top 3 this regular season.

Oh sorry the era of Timmy parker, Manu, where their team where just in the middle of the standings during the regular season but they were beating the top teams in playoffs, the current Spurs is no way near those times, but I'm pretty sure that after a few seasons if they manage to learn and the alien manage to be healthy every season that will be a different story but for now what is important is for them to learn.
No doubt that the OKC is being hype by media, but I'm sure they were also thinking of beating that records.

It is 10th loss for Thunder already. They lost to Raptors at home which was quite interesting. Or maybe not more interesting than their losing to Pacers a game before. 

I know they are facing some injuries too but still these teams are ones they can beat easily. It looks like they are really overhyped in regular season. However for playoffs I wouldn't still write them behind any team now.

I think they will try to win this game to prevent further losses. They are considered the championship favorites this year, but we can't be sure because they lost their last two games against much weaker teams. I think they will win their next game and then continue with a similar performance. As a team, they are one of my favorite teams in the NBA this year.

They had a good start this year but they lost to the Toronto Raptors and Because of this loss, it is now mathematically impossible for them to match the Golden State Warriors' 73 win record. They played 47 games and their record is now 37-10.

Luka has been cooking recently and he has been selected for player of the week. It is for Western Conference maybe but it is valid considering both conferences too to be honest.

In MVP ladder for regular season he is still the 3rd player. It isn't surprising for me though. He needs to be consistent for a much longer time period to compete harder with SGA and Jokic for that. But this doesn't change the fact he is one of the best NBA players now.

They had a good start this year but they lost to the Toronto Raptors and Because of this loss, it is now mathematically impossible for them to match the Golden State Warriors' 73 win record. They played 47 games and their record is now 37-10.

And if we consider there records from last season of 68-14, and it might also mathematical impossible for them to surpassed that as they have to be consistent and not lose 4 games in the remaining 30+ games which is going to be tough specially in the second half of the regular season as teams are really fighting very hard to have a good place in the playoff. Maybe they can retain their number 1 seed and have the home court advantage, but most of the time, having a home court advantage is not enough. New Orleans is in the bottom of the standings, but they are in a streak of their own. But their games will be at Paycom Center in Oklahoma.

Wow, seeing Maxey on that list is nice, I’ve always liked this guy, seriously underrated in my opinion.

But if I had to choose who deserves MVP this season, I’d go with Victor Wembanyama. The Alien is just doing so many things on the court that directly impact his team. Imagine if the San Antonio Spurs somehow make the playoffs, any team facing them in a best-of-7 would have to completely rethink their game plan. You can’t just attack the inside when Wemby is always there waiting to block shots.

That kind of presence alone already changes how teams play against you.

They're not overhyped.
Teams that have been strong for the last regular season really has that tendency to play low in performance due to many reasons.
And let's not only look at them as the strongest although our expectations have been high with them.
Let us recognize the other teams that have been improving lately. There's a lot of them lately while the one's that we know which are strong have been dropping in strength.

Against the Pacers, that’s really surprising, but against the Raptors, they are actually not bad. The Raptors are currently the third seed. Against the Pelicans, since the Pacers beat them, maybe the Pelicans can as well. If that happens, maybe the Thunder are getting a little tired. I think their performance last season was even better compared to this season. Holmgren really needs to step up his game. His offense isn’t that impressive. Thinking back to his rookie year against Wemby, I thought he was the one who could possibly rival Wemby. Idk, maybe my expectations for him are a bit high.

I’m really excited to see Wembanyama climb the ladder for possible MVP, Wembanyama really looks like a Special kid, and when he is playing he looks like a monster on the court.

I think if the San Antonio Spurs makes it to the MBA playoffs and if they eventually win the NBA playoffs Finals he will automatically become the MVP and it will be well deserved considering his personal performance this season in the NBA season he is hooping a lot of balls in the net, and he looks like a monster in the defense and stopping shots.

Watching Wembanyama this season reminds me of Gianis Antetoukupo when he had that Special Season with the Milwaukee Bucks when they won the NBA playoffs Finals and he was named the MVP.

San Antonio Spurs have to perform more to qualify for the playoffs and win the NBA playoffs Finals so Victor Wembanyama will be crowned the MVP.

He is such a Talented player.

I honestly think Wemby is a bit overrated. People keep saying players are scared to go to the rim or they’re avoiding the paint because of him. ok... because he is insanely tall, why would anyone purposefully run into a giant?
i saw people laughing at Curry for turning around when he saw Wemby under the basket but that’s just smart basketball. Curry is the GOAT of three-pointers of course he’s going to reset and look for a long shot instead of forcing a layup against Wemby I’m not saying he isn't talented, he definitely is. But everyone acting like he’s some alien from outer space is doing too much. He’s just a really tall, skilled player.
