Looking like the Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat are close to a trade that sends Andrew Wiggins back to Golden State in exchange for Jonathan Kuminga. I think this is a good trade for both parties. Only loser is the Lakers, who really were hoping to dump their underperforming players for Wiggins.

^^ Who doesn't want to see Wemby won the MVP? But I think he still very raw, this is still just his 2nd season, although we have seen improvements already, still he has to make a lot of grounds to be the best player in the NBA today.

But given like 3 more years, he could be the best player down the line, almost complete and what makes him specially is that he improved his shooting from the 3 point line and then upping him numbers in blocks to be a good candidate too for the defensive player of the year.

I honestly think Wemby is a bit overrated. People keep saying players are scared to go to the rim or they’re avoiding the paint because of him. ok... because he is insanely tall, why would anyone purposefully run into a giant?
i saw people laughing at Curry for turning around when he saw Wemby under the basket but that’s just smart basketball. Curry is the GOAT of three-pointers of course he’s going to reset and look for a long shot instead of forcing a layup against Wemby I’m not saying he isn't talented, he definitely is. But everyone acting like he’s some alien from outer space is doing too much. He’s just a really tall, skilled player.

Lol, what would you say that he is overrated? As for the blocks? He has once a record of 101 consecutive games that he has one block at least, and just behind Mutombo and Patrick Ewing. That alone stands against the best shot blockers in history and made Wemby a great player and still improving as time goes by.

So he is an alien because we haven't seen this kind of big players before. He has reset again what a center in the NBA means, just like Jokic before wherein he is a great passer and a shooter. And imagine he is just in the second year, so think of him hitting his peak.

Woah, I searched it up right away after reading this. So, there’s potential that Wiggins will be back with the Warriors. I would love to see that again. Wiggins was one of the keys to their last championship. For sure, both the Warriors and Wiggins would be happy if this happens. Aside from Curry, they need another scorer right now, and I think Wiggins could fill that role. Considering their salaries don’t have much difference, I think a direct/straight trade could happen.

Yes, here is a tweet:

https://x.com/BrettSiegelNBA/status/2016276585540641174?s=20

So there is this possibility that Wiggins, who has been playing good with the Heat might go back to the Warriors in exchange of Kuminga. For sure the Warriors fan love to see Kuminga again with them as he is instrumental of helping them win their last championship as it was a different version of Wiggins. He even made the All Star during that time. So hopefully if this trade push thru, then maybe Wiggins will turn to the old version of himself and help the Warriors salvage a mediocre season and at least made the playoff for this year. Let's see how it goes, maybe Kuminga will also be a perfect fit to the Heat for all we know.

Alperen showing smart type of game style, same with your observation he's playing like Jokic where he's using his advantages no fancy but all smart game type, if he and KD will continue the type of leadership that affects their teammates there's a big chance that they may achieved better place, still too far and got lots of game to play before the next round, they just need to keep winning to gain good positioning to keep their chance alive to chase for the title.
Alperen played like a true all-star but he was not selected (probably won't be selected in the bench either) and mostly other players did not voted for him. This is basically worst thing because if other players in the league dislikes you, then you need to be Lebron levels of greatness to be voted in the starters, otherwise when they hate you and vote you little, then just the media or voters can't make you get selected.

Normally Alperen deserves to be there, but Rockets are not ranked super high, on top of that Rockets already have Durant in there, so a bad team having two players is unlikely.

I don't have the knowledge of GSW trading players without giving the teams a heads up about the health status itself. One team that creeps into my mind though is the Celtics when they trade Isiah Thomas before. They said that Thomas is healthy but it looks like the other way.

In any other case, I think Kuminga will not be a better fit for the Lakers since they have Rui Hachimura who plays the same position already. Not sure about Ayton, maybe they can push him to improved specially in the defense department as most of the time he was caught napping in the middle and very late in playing defense.

It’s sucks if this happened for Heat since they lose Butler and other roster just to end up with Kuminga in the end since GSW will get back Wiggins.

This trade is super good with GSW now that Wiggins is improved while Butler is out due to injury.

I bet Heat is relying to their culture for improving Kuminga.

He really compliments well together with Adebayo on Heat and it seems that he got his confidence back when Wiggins been traded there, but still this is great deal for maybe for Warriors if they can get back Wiggins on their team since he's so helpful with their championship run way back before. His presence would provably helpful for GSW especially as what you have said they are looking for effective replacement for butler.

This is also good break for Kuminga if he will go on Heat since this team is known for being good to develop young players. So let's see if the trade happens he can blend well on that team.

If KD wasn't on the bench for All-Star then there would have been a serious chance for Alpi. But yes, I'm afraid I don't think coaches will select more than 1 player from Rockets for the bench...  Sad

I'm at least happy with Alpi's self-improvement this season. His medium range has got much better. I just admired his 15/17 shooting performance against Grizzlies by the way. He still has weaknesses which can be improved in time of course.

This is what I’m assuming since Miami culture is very good on developing player as long as the player is willing to be taught. I think coach Erik Spoelstra show a potential to Kuminga along with other players that they can get to this package once confirmed.

Kuminga will placed frequently on rotation so he might have a good playing time now but still it’s a very risky move considering how inconsistent Kuminga is.

He will lose a lot of value if he fails to deliver on Heat.

In Jokic's absence, Denver either loses by a very small margin or wins by a very small margin.
Tonight, they lost to Detroit by 2 points, 107-109.
Denver started the game very poorly. Due to their poor play in the first quarter, they only managed to score 18 points in the first period.
Although they played very well in the last quarter, it wasn't enough to make a comeback.
Jamal Murray's 24 points weren't enough.
Denver is really missing Jokic.
If he had been on the court today, they would have easily beaten Detroit.

Wiggins is still 30 years old so I guess he can still be a big help towards the team, and let's not forget that at one point, there was a time during the playoffs where he literally carried the team in offense, and he's a good defender as well.

I think this is a win-win situation between the two teams if this will just be a straight-up trade between the 2 teams, and no draft picks. The Warriors will be getting an older player than Kuminga, but can contribute and on the other hand, the Heat will get Kuminga which is very athletic and good on offense as well, and with how good the culture is on the Heat, I'm pretty much sure that whatever problems that he have during his time in Golden State will be fix there. Who knows? We might see him passing the ball already instead of how he plays which is more of an iso-ball.

I do hope that this trade will happen because the Warriors desperately need a player right now that could help Curry on offense, and Wiggins MIGHT be that one now that Butler is out for the whole season. As of this moment, these are just rumors, and there's no significant trade that happened aside from the Trae Young trade... because that's the only trade that has ever happened since the trade season opened. I don't think they even have the time to mourn when Butler left. When they got Kuminga, they embraced him and now they are a different team. Bam improved a lot in his shooting and they have the likes of Jaquez.

This trade is super good with GSW now that Wiggins is improved while Butler is out due to injury.

Yes, this is good for GSW as they once had Kuminga and he really did help them win a ring. And so with that, GSW is more willing to get him back at them. As we can see when Kuminga or the Heat plays at the Warriors court, he was honored and still beloved by the team itself. For Kuminga, he has been asking for trade so I guess he wouldn't mind trading places with Wiggins.

Oklahoma and New Orleans had a very bad start to the first quarter. The two teams scored a total of 31 points in the first quarter.
I'd say OKC pulled away in the third quarter.
They maintained the 8-point lead they opened in the third quarter into the final quarter and finished the game with a 104-95 victory.
I didn't think OKC would lose this game, but sometimes the NBA can have huge surprises. Especially this season, we've seen some very big surprises.
For example, Indiana beating Oklahoma five days ago was a huge surprise.

What’s surprising with OKC Thunder lately is that they’re winning games but not really covering the spread, yet the bookies still make them a heavy favorite most of the time. Most of their big separation usually comes in the third quarter, because outside of that stretch the games are actually pretty close. If the Pelicans managed to keep it tight until the end of the third, we might’ve seen a much closer finish, maybe even a possible upset, but it didn’t happen.

Zion Williamson looks good though, he’s back and playing well, and it’s nice seeing him move like that again. Unfortunately it still looks like the Pelicans won’t make the playoffs this season, but hopefully Zion can at least finish the year healthy without another injury.

I’m happy for him, but not really for the Pelicans as a whole. They’re at the bottom right now, worst in the West to be exact with a 12–37 record, and there’s just no realistic way they make the playoffs unless some miracle happens. Because of that, there’s really no pressure on Zion, he can even play below his normal level and it wouldn’t change much since he’s not in the MVP conversation anyway. That said, going 4–6 in their last 10 games is still an improvement, at least it shows some progress.

Cheesy
Is the reason he has been traded is because he is mostly not available ?
Or maybe because they can't match the salary or because jimmy is available and they thought they could push for another ring with jimmy? but because jimmy is now is injured will they trade jimmy back to Heat or he will stay with GSW and also gets Wiggins, that will be a good lineup next season if they can make them stay, curry time is limited now and they need to make the most of it, so they really are doing their best to take full advantage.

With the way he's playing it would be good for the management to bring support, better to look for additional two-way player or star if possible to give him additional force for the team to improve their chances of winning, the season might be over now for them, much better to set their future goals with Zion playing the way they'll expected him to be. Hopefully he'll be healthier as it can be, though moving forward more on the next season for them now.

I didn't think OKC would lose this game, but sometimes the NBA can have huge surprises. Especially this season, we've seen some very big surprises.
For example, Indiana beating Oklahoma five days ago was a huge surprise.

Not only this season but this is normal on NBA. We are just used to see OKC frequently winning due to their long winning streak but top team do lose sometimes to the weakest team.

Same scenario when GSW winning streak record was break by Bucks before while Bucks rank that time is near bottom since they are not the current Bucks probably around 2015.

Anyway, I’m pretty sure there will be a lot upset now that top team now will play safe.
