Damian Lillard's participation in the 3-PT contest is surprising for everyone! He is out for this season in the end as you know. But it'll be nice to see him there even if he doesn't win the contest.
I've seen many people disappointed with not seeing Luke Kennard in it. I wasn't watching him closely but checked him out. He could have really done a good job actually, I agree.
He's just been traded to Lakers after playing for Hawks in 46 games this season.

Luke is one of the highest three point percentage in the league, but one of the problem is he did not shot a lot outside even though he have high percentage, the lakers get him because of the high percentage, and he needs to shot a lot because James and luka will pass the ball to him when he is open, he needs to shot or he will be traded for sure lol, I'm surprise he will fit in the all star, i thought he can't play for the rest of the season, maybe he is already good to go but the team want to be 100% sure if he can already suit up, let us see how he will perform after the injury.

If I'm not mistaken, he leads the NBA in 3 point field goal percentage, so yes, it's ashamed that he won't be joining the 3 point contest as he deserves to be here. And it's true, surprising to hear that Dame despite his injuries are allowed to compete in this contest. And speaking of injury, there are videos that Jayson Tatum is already moving very well and he is in practice for the Celtics. So that is good news for Celtics fans, although there's no time table yet for his return. But as least he has recovered already and could be as high as 70% healthy from what I've seen in those videos.

There’s clearly some favoritism here, and honestly it doesn’t feel like the votes are based on stats anymore, it’s more like a popularity contest. Having Damian Lillard there makes the crowd happy since he’s a superstar, even coming off injury, and the fact that he can join probably means he’s already practicing again. So would anyone here really bet on him? If I remember right, last time Tyler Herro won, right? And speaking of injury, there are videos that Jayson Tatum is already moving very well and he is in practice for the Celtics. So that is good news for Celtics fans, although there's no time table yet for his return. I just hope he comes back soon and nothing really changes, because it was a serious injury. Right now, Boston Celtics are still doing fine anyway, and they’ll make the playoffs for sure. But still, it’s different when Jayson Tatum is there, for me he’s their best player, and the team just feels more complete when he’s on the court.

So they keep Giannis, and this is what they can do for now. https://www.si.com/nba/bucks/onsi/news/milwaukee-bucks-sign-free-agent-to-help-giannis-antetokounmpo-01kgzmav4xs0Milwaukee Bucks Sign Free Agent to Help Giannis AntetokounmpoFree agent guard Cam Thomas has agreed to a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, his agent Tony Ronzone of Wasserman tells ESPN. Thomas, 24, averaged 21.4 points per game over the last three seasons with the Nets. https://x.com/ShamsCharania/status/2020618659321073933?s=20Add some offensive power. Well, it's not a bad choice since Cam Thomas is a really good scorer and can even shoot from many parts of the court. Ryan Rollins had been an effective point guard for the Bucks, and I think it's just time that they need to create chemistry with Giannis. Although I don't know if that will happen or if they will try to trade him again after this season. The Bucks are in a bad spot at 12th in the Eastern Conference. They need to pile some wins if they want to be in the playoffs, but I don't see Giannis having that energy anymore after what the fans did to him and what he did to them.

So if the speculation about him being traded to the Warriors doesn’t happen, then their season is probably close to over. Especially now that Jimmy Butler is injured and can’t play, it’s hard to see them making the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks are still experimenting, and I think that will affect them a lot too. They might still struggle like this season, even with Cam Thomas, who for me is kind of a liability on defense.

He literally just invested in a betting site called Kalshi. A pro athlete of his level getting involved with gambling stuff is just mind blowing. How is this even okay...

It’s not really a good look, especially since it was reported that Kalshi is also planning to expand into sports betting. If Giannis Antetokounmpo has influence in the company, some people might start thinking he could manipulate games in his favor, which would mean easy money for him or for them. Even if that’s not true, the perception alone is already risky. So I’m curious how NBA sees this, because sooner or later they’ll probably have to address it given what i thought have possibilities of happening.

I think I've also seen KD promote fanduel too. At the end of the day, it's business for him.

The NBA allowed it because it hasn’t gone beyond the rules yet. A player like Giannis surely has lawyers before doing that. If I’m not mistaken, according to my research, he doesn’t have operational influence. Giannis has less than 1%, which means he doesn’t have the power to approve any company decisions. Kalshi explicitly blocks him from trading or influencing markets related to the NBA or himself.

On one hand, Alperen was playing out of his mind but Houston still hardly beat OKC. and that’s with OKC missing SGA, Jalen Williams, and AJ Mitchell... basically 70% of their team. you might say but Houston was missing Amen Thompson. but honestly, it doesn’t matter. Amen isn't a difference maker anyway.
Well, to be honest OKC is a better team than OKC to begin with. I would argue that SGA is the only one that mattered from the missing list, and yes I know others are important role players but not really difference makers. Whereas we have Rockets missing not just Amen but also FVD too for the whole season, while it doesn't matter for this year, it's important to remember that because of squad building reasons, they built the team with him on their minds. As long as Alperen keeps playing this good, and KD keeps on scoring, I think they will be fine.

We saw how important FVV is for Houston as soon as he got injured. their offense basically died immediately. Even though this is the situation they didn't trade Tari Eason and Reed Sheppard. And they added Kevin Durant to squad but he is just chasing stats.

Following Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's injury, Alperen Şengün was selected to the World Team for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game. This marks Alperen's second consecutive All-Star appearance. After achieving a triple-double in yesterday's game, I wondered if he would be selected today, and then the announcement came. Alperen is an All-Star, albeit a little late.
I don't want anyone to get injured, but Alperen Şengün deserved to be an All-Star. I think it's even wrong that he was selected this way, even if he replaced someone who got injured, we'll still be watching him this year. He's one of the most valuable players on the team in the NBA, he makes great assists, and everyone enjoys watching him play. I hope he gets more playing time in this year's All-Star game than he did last year

I don't understand how it goes sometimes when it comes to the voting because it's a popularity contest for the most part, but I think the World Team will win that team is stacked top to bottom.

Kawhi continues to cook by the way! Another 40+ points performance by him and this is his 4th time reaching this amount in a game this season. This guy wasn't even selected for All-Star during starters and reserves were being determined! But Adam Silver added him to All-Star later thankfully. He is in USA Stripes team. It will be nice to see Kawhi there as he deserves it. Since he recovered from his injury he has been performing amazingly...

Kawhi when healthy has always been a beastly player, matter of fact he's a pure basketball player he plays both sides of the game and give's his all most nights. I was super happy when he joined my Raps when we went on that historic playoff run and won the chip, sad when he left but business is business and he will always be apart of our history. I heard they chose Lebron over him at first before they corrected their decision but not 100% sure on that, but hopefully he stays healthy and clippers can get more pieces around him,
