A great night for LeBron. He got a triple double and is now the oldest player in NBA history to have done so. It looked like he was going for 60 after the first quarter but he slowed down quite a bit. Still it was enough for them to get the win without Luka.
Good thing as well is Reaves chipped in with double-digit points again, plus nice shooting.
Lakers shot around 56% FG, even if the 3pt was still not that good, it was more than enough for a blowout win.

Dallas losing streak still continues. And honestly, it feels like the Lakers don’t even need Ayton anymore, especially with how inconsistent he’s been.

Hayes slowly proving a good center for the Lakers. And probably it's the reason why they want to keep him, not making him as their main center but still have him in the roster is good enough for them. And then getting Ayton as they think he could be a fit. But as what we have seen, Ayton is inconsistent and his defense as non-existent. And Hayes is more athletic that's why Luka passes the ball to him all the time because he can really adjust and read the defense on him. He is also good on rotating and move without the ball as Lebron can easily spot him inside or cutting just like in this game. Hopefully he can really developed him to become a solid center, maybe the likes of Gafford or Lively of the Dallas Mavericks.

He scored 16 points in this game, but he’s not really a true scorer. Still, with his defense and rebounding, that’s already a win for the Lakers.

Maybe they’ll try putting him in the starting lineup first and observe what happens, then Ayton goes to the second unit. Because honestly, it would be a waste if the Lakers still struggle even after getting Luka Dončić, and with Austin Reaves playing like a superstar lately.

Since they’re not really good outside shooters, I think they should focus more on improving their defense. That’s probably where they can win more games.

Ayton is soft, he tends to slow down his momentum and bring the ball down when he gets quick passes from LeBron or Luka, in the paint. The only good thing about him than Hayes is his mid range shooting.
If Hayes have that kind of ability, he'd be a perfect center for the Lakers.
Ayton can be a good piece to start, since Hayes easily picks up some fouls, but JJ should seriously consider to let Hayes or Kleber play more minutes in the 4th quarter.

Oklahoma's loss to Milwaukee was arguably the biggest surprise of the night.
Okc was without Shai, but Milwaukee was without Giannis. Despite this, Okc's loss surprised me.

Meanwhile, the Lakers defeated Dallas 124-14, a 20-point victory thanks to LeBron's triple-double. This win ended their two-game losing streak.

That was really unexpected! Thunder were able to lead the game for even only 19 seconds. It was hell of a dominance by Bucks despite the odds given for their win. It must be like 5.50 or something.  Grin

In the other game you mentioned Lakers were comfortable as of the final minutes of Q3. Not having Cooper Flagg affected Mavericks quite negatively of course. And great performance by King James...

I think he's accomplished something remarkable at this age. Among current basketball players, Nikola Jokic is the strongest candidate to achieve this after LeBron. His numerous triple-doubles give me that feeling, but I don't know how far LeBron can take this age thing. Considering he'll continue his career next year, he could take it even further.

Wow, that's a nice odds for those who managed to take that big risk believing that upset may happen just like the outcome for today's game, Bucks win even without Giannis though OKC also missed SGA which both are the leading scorers of their respective team, with that loss from OKC it won't change their position still on top and  have a decent edge against the Spurs who's next to them in ranking.

I think many will take the risk on underdog bet against OKC since they are struggling without SGA on most of their recent games while Bucks still has a decent player especially Thanasis that contributed 1 reb.  Grin

I will not take such bet on a money line bet since OKC still have their main roster already backed. Maybe just a handicap bet if I really want a YOLO bet against OKC.

Maybe more upset match like this will happened when OKC involved while SGA is still out.

being able to play until now with almost the same level as before is already an achievement, is hard to achieve by other players, he is the goat of this era , and MJ is on another era this is just for me, and i wont argue with anyone about their own goat.
being able to play for a long time, but i think this might be his last year or he is going for another full season lets see how long can he play on the same level.
Jokic know when to jump, and his timing is amazing, so no need to jump if you can time the ball.

I think many will take the risk on underdog bet against OKC since they are struggling without SGA on most of their recent games while Bucks still has a decent player especially Thanasis that contributed 1 reb.  Grin
Not only SGA was out, Jalen Williams was also out. That’s already two of their best players missing, so of course they’re going to struggle. But I’m sure they’ll figure it out sooner or later. OKC is a strong team, no way they’ll just keep losing every time. They’ll bounce back for sure.

I will not take such bet on a money line bet since OKC still have their main roster already backed. Maybe just a handicap bet if I really want a YOLO bet against OKC.

Maybe more upset match like this will happened when OKC involved while SGA is still out.

Still out...

A great night for LeBron. He got a triple double and is now the oldest player in NBA history to have done so. It looked like he was going for 60 after the first quarter but he slowed down quite a bit. Still it was enough for them to get the win without Luka.

Lebron physique is very impressive and I don’t see player like him on current generation considering that his game is focus on offense and very active on driving.

Jokic on the other hand doesn’t jump too much on his game unlike
Lebron since he play as a big man which relies on sheer strength on attacking his defender to slowly come close on the ring without that much speed.

Lebron is the GOAT in terms of his legacy considering on his achievements on his age.
being able to play until now with almost the same level as before is already an achievement, is hard to achieve by other players, he is the goat of this era , and MJ is on another era this is just for me, and i wont argue with anyone about their own goat.
being able to play for a long time, but i think this might be his last year or he is going for another full season lets see how long can he play on the same level.
Jokic know when to jump, and his timing is amazing, so no need to jump if you can time the ball.

Look at this interesting comparison https://www.landofbasketball.com/player_comparison/lebron_james_comparisons.htm since you can see those players almost have same achievement gotten by Lebron.

But we can't really deny that Lebron is unique and at 41 he could still manage to perform good and dominate.

Many speculate that this is going to be his last year, but maybe Lebron might try to play for another season or maybe more. Lebron is provably listening to his body and maybe if he see that his performance declines they might consider to retire.

With those situation we have seen on Kings I think that there's a problem on their system. Maybe the coach struggle to create good chemistry with those talents they have. Also I think its time for them to explore getting new coach and maybe their situation will be change next season.

Seems their rebuilding process made fails and Kings keep struggling to win this season. Imagine how frustrating it is on their stars like for Derozan especially that he really want to win and get out from huge shame which they are currently experiencing now. There's two things Kings management could try next season, either they break their roster again or find another reliable coach that will lead then change the situation of their team.
I am 100% certain that is the reason. I am sure that if they change their coach and get someone better then they are going to start winning without a doubt. I think it's clear that the team they have is not a bad team and they can and should be winning more games. But right now, most players look quite unfit to player together because their talents overlap. Like Westbrook, Sabonis, Demar are all players who plays within the lines, and that causes opposite defense to just collapse and defend them easily.

The reason is they basically brought the Chicago starters to Sacramento Kings. DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine are there now, but honestly their chemistry doesn’t look good, at least based on what I’ve seen. Because of that, they’re really struggling.

This season feels kind of done for them already, that’s for sure. But the good thing is, while they’re struggling, other teams are improving. That’s just how it is in the league.

Honestly, I haven’t been watching Kings games much since they started losing. By the way, did Domantas Sabonis already come back? That also makes a big difference for them.

The kings are in a hurry even though they have better team with fox sabonis etc, but they are too eager to win, and let go also of fox, there is no doubt that they are not complete during those times, the problem is they are not investing on better player, they just want to fill the spot, just to make it look like they do try their best, if they have stick on the players the last time they made the playoffs and also, add better role players, they could have a better run after that, but they chose to break the team line-up

Team World is damn scary.  Cheesy Sengun, Wemby, Jokic, Jamal, Doncic, Towns, Siakam, etc. I think I will be siding with Team World. Still, I am hoping for a more competitive game. Play it like the 90's.

Honestly, I’d go for Team World here, with Jokic, Doncic and Wemby, that’s already pretty scary, and they’re young as well.

Have you guys seen the betting odds yet? Which team is the favorite and which one is the underdog? I’m hoping Team World is the dog so I could place a bet.  Smiley
It's a no-brainer considering they've got Luka there to facilitate as we as Jokic and even Murray is present. On the defensive end they got Wemby that promise he'll gonna go all out for this All-star game and Siakam too. Moreover, I think it would have been a different outcome and a blowout if Giannis and Shai is playing. For odds it's the USA Stripes are the one being favored by the bookmakers and probably it's because of their healthy lineup and some good replacement too. USA Stars is probably a dark horse if they will be playing all-out too.

We’ll see. Apparently the World guys have a reputation for not making an effort in all star games. Wemby said he was going to change that this year though, so who knows. Maybe he will try and go for 50.

I tend to think the US guys have a little more at stake ego wise but maybe not.
Well, here's Durant calling the attention of the European guys (Jokic and Doncic) for not being serious in the All-star games and probably that's a wake-up call for them and Murray also said that as a first timer he'll go all-out with the game. Who knows? I guess with the recent call-out of a competitive game for this All-star, I guess it will turn out to be that way. Let's see if they'll not make the viewers disappointed at the end.

Oh I was not aware of that statement from the European guys for not taking it seriously. Although I have seen both of them like really kids joking and messing around. Maybe for them it's a fun weekend. But at the end of the day, they will have to play and only one team will emerge victories.

I've seen players of the same team guarding each other like Jalen Brown and Jayson Tatum a few All Star games years ago. So it should be competitive at least but at the same time players and fans should enjoy it, in my opinion.
Yeah just saw it recently too and hope it will be an eye-opening statement for all players because I guess the last game I saw they became competitive was late 2020 to honor the passing of Kobe and I thought "why not honor the league?", of course much respect to Kobe, he's a true competitor.

I think it's not a surprise considering Jalen Williams has been ruled out for this game, I placed my bet to Milwaukee there with a plus spread and what really blows my parlay was the Dallas Mavericks as placed that one when Flagg was still on GTD, just sad he didn't play maybe for the upcoming Rising Stars game. And that LBJ triple-double was amazing for his age.

i don’t know why but i’ve started getting so irritated whenever I hear Durant’s name. This guy has such a weird personality. He’s almost 40 years old but he still acts like he can’t let go of his inner child. he’s constantly active on Twitter getting into petty arguments with fans, critics, or haters. It’s just so strange.

I just remember that burner account of this guy ahahah, Well I respect the man on his gamesa and even getting old the shooting of this guy is really amazing.
But in social media ? he should retire a long time ago.

NBA is on break with the all star week-end, lets enjoy the event as it is meant for the fans (us).

Look at this nonsense. a Houston fan with only 190 followers on Twitter posts a tweet criticizing the turnovers Durant made in the game they won. He doesn't even tag Durant or use his full name. he just uses the abbreviation KD.
but KD somehow manages to find it. since the user didn't tag him, there’s only one logical way for him to see this. he must have manually searched for "KD" on twitter just to read what people are saying about him. And then he actually replies to get into an argument.

we are talking about one of the most famous basketball players in the world, a 37 year old man with 20 million followers... to me, this just seems incredibly childish.
