https://pivxscan.io/ is one the wrong chain, they probably missed to update to the current version.

If in doubt, this is always the reference: http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/PIVX/block.php?searchinput=803183

reward 5 PIVX to someone who will help run the masternode.

If you still haven't solved this, go to the PIVX Slack and ask there. There are MANY more people there than here.

I already gave you my remote pivx.conf info. Here is my local pivx.conf, in case you can learn anything from it:

Code:
enableobfuscate=0
addnode=blahblahblah
addnode=blahblahblah
bantime=50
staking=1

Note that staking=1 isn't necessary anymore; this is just a leftover. Note also that there is nothing about masternode status, IPs, etc. What you see here is literally the only thing in the file. You need very little info here when you're running a remote masternode.

Then, my local masternode.conf is exactly based off the example:

Code:
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:51472 masternodeprivkey txid 1

xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:51472 masternodeprivkey txid 0

...

The masternode count went down from 2100 to 1500, now the count is higher than before the mandatory update, we have now about 2200 masternodes. I really wonder who buys in for a masternode at that price level. Now you have to spend 40.000 $, wich is quite a lot for a masternode.

Maybe those people bought in some time ago and never set up a masternode before.

Several weeks ago I bought enough PIVX to setup 2 masternodes, sofar I only used the coins for staking because this gives me almost the same reward but with a higher reward frequency. When more people start staking and staking becomes less profitable I will switch to MN.

redownloading the blockchain solved this issue, but I never expect there is 2 chain.

40k$ a lot ? what about 320k$ for a dash masternode ? The masternode count usually goes down severely when a hosting site goes down, it's not because people sell their MN (most of the time it's not selloff).

The owners thougth that PIVX is going to moon than they moved their coins to bittrex. now they realised that PIVX will not go to moon (anyway not soon) so they restarted their masternodes.

beware of this ponzy sheme pyramide coin. 2 devs working on this and some freelancers with no experience in their field spreading fake news around. The devs keep selling their coins at every pump, dont be a fool to fall for this. Also in january a masternode was only 68 usd worth, now its 40k worth- in that time they have made 0 progress in anything. This coin went up 80000% out of nowhere. Beware of this scammy shit. Also beware of Ark- same people who hold pivx are holding ark. Same ponzysheme.

Well... talking about "fake news" I guess we have a winner here...

You forgot one tiny detail, we have Zerocoin implementation running on Testnet right now and will go live.

Nice try to FUD, have a good day.

I guess the six wallet updates since January counts as doing nothing?(I did not count the wallets released in January) Or the updated website that was relaunched in March? Lots of progress has been made with this coin. I think someone just wants to be able to afford a masternode. I consider people spreading FUD progress too, means people are taking notice of PIVX.

That's all fine but please explain bitcoin cash then, has 1 dev, did basically nothing and it's worth 50 times more than pivx. Also you can go on with Neo and all the rest, you have at least 20-25 big coins to call out before you accuse pivx of scam Smiley Oh btw, bitcoin gotta be the biggest scam by this logic. It sucks for those who missed the early days of pivx, (I missed it too, bought in at 90k sat right after the first dip from the 160k ATH, and kept buying every dip) but if it succeeds in the next few years, you will regret not buying today.

The coin price is performing well vs the market, quite reassuring of the service / product of the token.
