I have just requested that Poloniex add it. Oh, wait. They don't care what we request...

They need to see some further development first for this. It's still very early in the coin's lifespan, and the rollout of auxiliary services such as website or app for node management/voting UI/UX would make it more likely to be added on their exchange.
For clarity, make a comparison for Dash as to when it was listed and the number of service nodes that were online at the time, as well as when instantx/darksend went live & any review of the lower-level infrastructure supporting those services.

as reference, Kristov Atlas writes "Summary: I identified no significant security vulnerabilities in the closed source Darkcoin code. There are three privacy implementation issues that have been acknowledged by the Darkcoin development team and are being fixed; full disclosure of those issues will take place no later than 2014/10/18."

http://blog.anonymousbitcoinbook.com/2014/09/darkcoin-code-review-results/

http://blog.anonymousbitcoinbook.com/2014/09/paper-an-analysis-of-darkcoins-blockchain-privacy-via-darksend/

Although the system is based on Coinjoin methods, it was certainly the 'in' thing for anonymous coin offering at that time.
can DNET remain competitive with DASH in this saturated market? with the right people and resources it's certainly possible. As DASH has refocused their branding there's a niche to be filled. Seeing as how this network is running well at less than 1/100th of the DASH price there's definitely room for growth

Proposal to save Darknet from inflation

PoW phase with steady block reward is producing too much coins, it is hurting early investors and promotes dumping. Price now is 4x lower than month ago. We need emergency measures to prevent this.

I propose significant reduction of PoW supply and giving biger % reward to masternode owners. It will decrease selling preasure from miners and will support MN owners who are more loyal to Darknet cryptocurrency.
We will have total of 39 960 000 coins at the end of the PoW phase instead of 64 800 000 coins (-24 840 000 coins that could be dumped).

Blocks 1 - 135 000 (94 days, ends by may, 8)
POW reward: 250 DNET
Total supply: 33 750 000

Blocks 135 001 - 259 200 (86 days)
POW reward: 50 DNET (25 to miners and 25 to masternodes)
Total supply: 39 960 000

Blocks 259 200 +
PoS

It seems that bitcoin core is leaning towards major support for c++11 , citing potential performance/productivity enhancements, and additional compiler support.

https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/issues/7945
https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/7165

alternatively a transition to py3 is a WIP
https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/7814

Python piqued my interest but I may invest more time into c++11 and go.

I feel a logo redesign would be a misappropriation of resources at this time; the branding is where it should be for now and establishes a foundation to work from, in light of developmental milestones

OK guys and gals.. I did end up finding crz that Danonthehill suggested, his work is "Outstanding", but with that quality, comes a cost. a significant one. He has asked for a budget, so I need to guage what everyone thinks.

If you want to see a sample of his work, check out this link;

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=745352.0

To start he is willing to redesign the the BCT ANN, Coin Logo and Default Wallet Design.

I am sure this would take us to a higher level of professionalism, but I need to hear your thoughts before I create a budgetary proposal for his work.

I was also approached by another individual who has done some work, waiting to hear back what other services he offers (possible Wallet Gui/ Coin Logo Design)

here is his example he recently finished;

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1268718.0

he is significantly cheaper;

give me your ideas please
I think we should wait till the POW is over as I am hoping the coin value will increase after that.

Thats what Im thinking,, Why pay to raise the price ourselves with advertising when soon the price will correct anyways with new implications and the ending of PoW?

The buy support is strong regardless of the price atm. It's tedious accumulating large amounts of coins already...you beautiful bastards...

Miners have been dumping for a week below 500 as the support continues to get stronger and the amount of coins being sold are decreasing with exception of the 22nd where nearly 2 million coins were traded and DNET closed the same as it opened that day. I say HODL the DNET, invest any capital you choose in buy support and wait.

We should just hold a contest for a new logo design. 10000 DNET.   >>Ill donate 2,500  Cool

i would also wait with the graphics until end of pow + at least some features + value increase. maybe before starting a marketing campaign.

however i like the logo contest idea. we can promote the contest on twitter and other social media to gain a little bit extra attention in crypto world.
will donate 2500 for a logo contest ....

Yes, personally i would Always do the second method as you keep your coins in the controller wallet which can be off.
