why do I feel like PIVX is massively undervalued?
Like 2$ for this coin?
It is serious deal...
It is, with Zerocoin implementation already on testnet it easily can compete with Dash, Zcash and Monero. When Zerocoin is on mainnet in one of the next releases, we will never see that $2 again. It's a great coin to hold by the way, either running a masternode or just staking, rewards are very good. You are absolutely right. You will never see these low price once Zerocoin implementation is released to mainnet.Buy and hold people. |

The developers seem inclined to not just implement the zerocoin protocol, but to also be 200% sure beforehand that it is bugproof.
Only the developers know when zerocoin will go live. However, when it does, be sure to fasten your seatbelts, 'cause we will be going to da moon
Yes, that's how releases should be treated. Testnet is for testing, mainnet for launches. And when it launches, it really launches. When will be that? What are yours prediction? next year, even the devs think that next year is soon. Since it is already running on testnet it is just a matter of resolving bugs, probably it will take a few weeks. Personally I expect that PIVX with zerocoin will be released next month. Of course I'm not clear-sighted and only the devs can tell for sure. I won't give any dates (well because we don't have any official date yet), but I would say that JoostB is closer to our expectation of release time frame. |

The explorer is correct. It looks like the masternode page is pretty close in alignment with the explorer now. I think that when there are large swings in masternode count, the masternode page may be not as precise. |

There's a link: https://pivxmasternode.orgUps, I didn't saw the website link on the OP post..silly me  For anyone else, you need 10k PIVXs to be a masternode, well nothing for me then, atleast I got 100 coins at cheap price a while ago.  Also, POS rate is arround 4.8% year, but it's random. |

The PIVX devs tend to keep quiet about new developments until they're tested and ready for release. I doubt they'll announce a specific date in advance. I'd guess you're looking at a 1 to 3 month timeframe, but I have no concrete evidence to back that up. The price has been essentially the same for months and will probably creep upward over the next while; I think you still have time to invest but that you won't get (m)any more chances at < $2 PIVX. |

So I like pivx the more I look at it, but one thing that kind of worries me which my friend, who has been in crypto since inception, pointed out...is that Pivx tweets about price speculation and "Pivx to the Moon!"...which you only see with pump and dump coins or garbage altogether. I have yet to see one serious project that does this. Can devs please chime in. Otherwise I am very bullish and would like to start investing in this project.

Then a masternode would be worth 100.000 $ ... guess some will then sell off and the masternode count will decrease .... not many will pay 100.000$ to install a new masternode .... If that would happen, rewards for running a masternode would also be x5. If the masternode count would decrease, a simple update to run a masternode with 1,000 PIV would fix it. |

Hey! So, this is something that as a community lots of people were having fun with...as "to the moon" etc are somewhat of an insider crypto joke really. Some of them "skyrock" were done by folks outside of PIVX and it became an almost overnight meme. To your points, PIVX has (and will probably continue to have) much more of a "community/person/social" feel to it. THAT SAID - we are tailoring posts and what gets distributed now to keep the messages segmented and targeted. Things that go to FB vs Twitter v Linkedin. Also, not sure if you have been in the slack - but come take a look (slack.pivx.org) at the community there |
