xxxxx is so much more decentralized than PivX.

See how the top adresses in PivX owns most masternodes, it is crazy.

Get in xxxxx while its cheap because i think xxxxx might just run by PivX in marketcap. Phore is in for a 10-50x increasw once market and privacy smart contracts is released.

This feature is very experimental, inaccurate and not updated in real-time

Since chainz isn't giving us any metrics by which they operate and come up with these numbers, if I had to guess most of these coins probably belong to masternode hosting services.

Even if not, it's very very unlikely that all these people are so OCD that they have exactly 100-200-300 masternodes.

Not your keys, not your coins!

I hate the mandatory wallet updates. I lost 496  minted coins. It's show's on my history as orphan blocks now...I used to love PIVX from day one but now WTF........

Why should I mint if I am going to loose it.....

You weren't on the right chain.  You should've noticed you were minting WAYYYYYYYYYY faster than normal.

Mandatory wallet upgrades are a fact of life when a coin introduces new features*. It's the price you pay for investing in a coin with active development, and the implementation of Zerocoin protocol was a very big change. Announcements about mandatory upgrades are made on Reddit, Twitter, and various other channels. It takes about 10 seconds to check for updates and less than 5 minutes to update the wallet if needed. Either 1) find 10 seconds to pay attention to the updates or, if you're unable/unwilling to do so, then 2) invest in a coin with less active development.

Anyone who has 'lost' coins related to zPiv minting, go on Discord (http://discord.pivx.org/) or Reddit. The folks there are great and will help you.

Anyone who has 'lost' coins because they were minting on the wrong chain, you never actually had those coins in the first place, since they only existed in the alternate reality of the other chain. Update your wallet and move on.

*In the current crypto paradigm, at least. Perhaps in future there will be a more fool-proof way to roll out updates, but the crypto space is all one big beta test for now. You just have to roll with it if you want to play the game.

I have woken up to 500+ minted but then I remember to check the explorer before getting excited.

If you're staking, this should be common knowledge.

Yeah, I can't decide if it's FUD or just a somewhat odd attempt at being helpful. Anyway...good to know that if you send coins to an address you don't own, you won't have access to them Smiley Although if it happens I think the real 'bug' there is the person, not the wallet...

Pop into discord and have support walk you through it step by step.

After zPiv I (and everyone else) also had a lot of wallet issues up until the most recent release, so make sure you have that one.  You're saying you had coins go missing?  Did you look up your address to see if they're still there and just not showing up in your wallet?

I'll admit, I have a little more PIVX than you, but not much and I'm a tad skeptical about your story... over $200k in PIVX and you're not on top of your wallet?

Instant, private features are good for PIVX. Has the coin went beyond that?
I would like to buy PIVX for long-term investment, so I really want to know more about its development. Cool

You are longer than maybe in crypto than me yet you were too busy at work?
Sounds like you heard about bitcoin a few years ago and brushed it to the side, that doesn't make you longer in crypto than someone who has been active in some of these projects for years.

Either way, erase the old blockchain, download a trusted snapshot and resync from there.

Hey!

The blockchain has been stable for a couple of weeks now, so must be something on your end.

First, back-up your wallets (if you have not already done that) to a safe place. You should always hold multiple back-ups of your valuable wallets.

Second, delete everything in you PIVX folder, get the blockchain snapshot in the right place and let it sync.

Third, if it is 100% synced, shutdown the client, put your wallets back in the right location, start the client.

If that doesn't work of if it doesn't sync, try another computer / laptop / internet connection or ask for support on Discord, very helpful people.
