Yankee, Why haven't I gotten a response on how long it will take to get my funds. After my payment cleared with ZipZap 4 days ago, I did not receive my funds. I posted my account number here and you said it was "processed". I didn't receive any bitcoins, so I PMed you and you said I would get the email link sent to me from Ira. He has not sent me one. I PMed you asking  for a date on when I would receive my money and now no response for two days. Will I ever get my money? Exactly what steps do I need to take to get my money. I don't care it it's USD or BTC.

It's been six days for me and they are constantly blowing me off telling me that they are processing it but I still don't have my money. Very dissatified with bitinstant beeing a first time user! so now I will give my zipzap number again for the almost tenth time. # 676 172 448

Hey, we emailed you the link 3-4 times already, but the email you used in the quote is invalid. You used tormail.com when its tormail.org.

Ill PM you the link now.

Thanks and sorry about that new email and first time buying bitcoins won't happen again. I hate to be a nag but will you be refunding the fees due to the delay even though I made a mistake?

I'm a newbie, and have many questions....

'm runing on a 32bit linux laptop with 1gb of RAM.

I've installed bitcoind and started it, but it's been killing my CPU for the last few days, and it's db has grown to the point that i can not open bitcoin-qt w/o swapping like crazy. Can I used bitcoin-qt with bitcoind stopped?

Also, how do I create an account? If I check bitcoind for accounts, all I get  (after about a 1 minute wait) is:

root@adam-laptop:~# bitcoind listaccounts
{
    "" : 0.00000000
}

So how do I create an account? I'm assuming once I have an account I can purchase coins and transfer them to the account.

It sounds like for each transaction I need to generate a single use ID to go with the account. How do I do that? And if it is single use, is it impossible to use bitcoins for automatic reoccuring payments?

I'm running bitcoind under root, but I run bitcoin-qt under my normal user account. Does that work fine?

Finally, for improved security and anonymity, I was considering having bitcoind use a tor proxy. Are there any reasons I would not want to do that?

I've recently made a payment to bitinstant through ZipZap to receive my bitcoins to my bitcoin address. I've had 3 flawless transactions, but this time I haven't even received an email after my payment that notifies me of my recent transfer. However, I did receive the email from ZipZap saying that it would notify the merchant of my successful payment and to complete the order.

Although; I didn't save the orderID.

What now?

You can use bitcoin-qt on its own, and you should never run anything as root unless it has to run as root. Once bitcoin-qt is running you can get an address, ignore the accounts system and just use addresses. You can then purchase coins via BitInstant or any other source and send them to the address.

Forward the zipzap email to our support at support@bitinstant.com and include your bitcoin address too and we'll get this sorted for you.

Thanks Gareth!

Just to be clear, I just need bitcoin-qt, and there is no need for bitcoind?

We always aim to make payments as rapid as possible but do at times experience technical problems which can cause delays - should this effect you then get in touch and we will always rectify the issue.
