I bought few and stuck with the low price. Damn. But I made profit on past days. Decred is struggling from something, but what ? Dumpers are the culprit ?

40k.  Sad
A little disappointed.

If we go down to 30k is over. Investors will move to more stable price coins.
PS: Airdroppers are NOT selling anymore, so please, don't tell the same bullshit "it's cause of airdroppers"

you mean 400k, 0.004 is not 40k satoshi, still in the range that like to be played by bots, i would not woryy about, the market is once again diluited because there are coins that look interesting for big investors, like lisk

I'm pretty sure that all "investors" really want is high prices and low volatility...  Grin

Do you think the price of DCR will go up again in the near future? It seems there are many fresh supply of DCR now.

Expect the price to go lower or stay where it is for awhile.

a noob question how a GUI wallet causes price improvement ?

People like me that do not like dealing with cmd line interfaces or don't have the knowledge to do so will become more interested in decred.  I currently mine a little and trade a little, but until a gui wallet with easier staking becomes available I won't do a lot with it because I won't hold much on exchanges & mining pools.

i doubt, pos miners are dumping, for free because they earn coin for free no reason to hold

if they just do not dump at low price and wait for sometimes then they would make more profit. if they get it free then why do they make hurry to dump ?

I'm a PoS miner and I haven't sold 1 single coin nor do I intend to in the foreseeable future
Why do you people make a scene each time the price drops a bit ?
Fluctuation is normal. I have never seen a stock or a currency that only rose and never dropped?

I'm also staking and haven't sold any coins. If the price goes low enough, I'll probably scoop up some more.

If you want to speculate on price, by all means do so - but it's probably better to do so in a speculation thread. Buy low, sell high, hodl and lurk this thread - do what you will.

I think a far more interesting question would be why DCR will be interesting a year or 3 from now.

  • Is it going to be used for transactions (a hard hill to climb with Bitcoin as the leader)?
  • Will it be used as a testbed to prove superior features or governance over the market leaders?
  • Will it incorporate private transactions via zksnarks or ring signatures?
  • Are there walled gardens that would prefer to use DCR as a token rather than Bitcoin?

So, first was airdopper, now pos miner. Every time a new excuse for price dropping.
From near 0.007 to 0.004
Maybe is just lack of interest and people moved forward?

Lessons: Investor will not buy on dump. First trade rule.
Investors need to see a pump and they jump in.
Look ETH.....when price started to pump from 0.002 to 0.007 it cause a massive entry from investors, not early.
A coin where price start to rise makes news and FOMO.

So, for future of dcr price need to be back stable @ 0.007

Stop to say within 6 months or 1 year. Price is what is now, not within 6 months.
And i don't see people interested in buy dcr. Sad but true.

I have performed the most faster yobit ico sold out in 29 Minutes.
NEW PROJECT SOON!!!

this is right, people jump on the train when it's already moving not sitting there, so you need someone pumping decred first, if you want noob investors to join the party

Trading in alts is all speculation until it's actually put to use in some sort of wide spread context even if it is just gambling. I haven't seen a alt come out of the gate as a widely adopted and fully developed platform yet. Not to mention that DCR has only been trading for a little over a month?  I'm not sure where people seem to get the idea that crypto is a place to make a quick buck, but that's what it seems to me.

All in all this isn't a bad thing for those that believe that decred will develop and become more widely used. It gives us time to get in at the bottom.

If I had had more money when I got started I would have bought more ETH at 190k.  Right now I'm hoping to get a good amount of dcr when they get a working gui wallet.

You want at least 100 tickets in the pool I think. So 800 to 1000 dcr and catch a good ticket adjust.  You should get around 2 votes a day I think.
How many coins would I need to get a a POS one 1 decred a day ?
