Whats the current supply? 1,8 million says explorer right?, coinmarketcap say under one mil?

You can see the current supply here under "Available Supply". The coinmarketcap.com numbers are correct. This is because the devs/c0 have committed to not trading any of the bring-up DCR for 12-24 months. More specifically, 28% of bring-up DCR will not be traded for 12 months, and 72% will not be traded for 24 months. After this period, it still doesn't mean anything will be traded, but then it's up to individual developers (some may have to to live).

Also whats the inflation curve on the way to 21 million. can this be calculated?

Have a look at an earlier answer.

And when can idiots like me that don't wanna use command lines expect to stake this conveniently?

All proposals for RFP-1 (which deals with a GUI) must be in 12:00 PM CST March 1st, 2016. Paymetheus will be usable soon as well - just not as shiny as RFP-1 will make it. This will allow you to get away from a command line interface (CLI). By this time, a mainnet stake pool will be available as well - which means you'll be able to purchase tickets with the GUI and use the stake pool to mine.

Whats the final time for RPF-5 ? I'm currently working on it but would need a little more time to finish it properly.

12:00 PM CST March 4th, 2016. Let me know if that poses a problem, since this one has parties that have been expressed interest for quite a while now. Trying to move quickly so interested hackers can dig in. Because it's big enough, it'll likely be possible to have multiple components completed by multiple people. It would require bringing everyone to the table and agreeing on things - but one step at a time!

Thats perfectly fine for me.

Most things are already done here, we just have to get the heads together - what about a big meetup "ETH" style ? Wink

I'll send the proposal within the next 24h

I have been thinking about getting the new rasberry PI 3 and setting it up for POS mining. I have read the guide, but how much DCR would I need to make it worthwhile and when they say you need to have it running 24/7, is that literally? . I mean if its shut down for a day or so without you noticing, is that a big deal. Also how long do you have to wait before seeing the first return

Low price and difficulty. It's best time for mining. When we hit poloniex, then these small numbers will be past.

Please explain why you would like to see this coin added to the exchange:

give your personal reason

If this coin has any significant innovations over other coins, please elaborate on them here:

Hybridized proof-of-work proof-of-stake consensus system to strike a balance between miners and voters and create a more robust notion of consensus

Blake-256 hashing algorithm – not vulnerable to many of the numerous security issues facing Merkle-Damgård construction-based hashing algorithms such as SHA-256

secp256k1 signature scheme for ease of integration into existing software or Ed25519/secp256k1-Schnorr to take advantage of Schnorr signatures and their features

Written entirely in Go using a modular, well-documented, and tested codebase for long-term maintainability

Hope this helps.

How are the transaction fees for DCR worked out? The 0.1 DCR withdrawal fee at Bittrex seems absurdly high.
