Here are some interesting tidbits.

Dave Collins has never mentioned Decred on his Twitter account: https://twitter.com/davecgh

Dave Collins never followed Brian Armstong: https://twitter.com/davecgh/following

Brian Armstrong has 15,607 followers: https://twitter.com/brian_armstrong/followers

Brian Armstrong followers ONLY 394 tweeps: https://twitter.com/brian_armstrong/following

Brian Armstrong followed Dave Collins on January 16, 2016: https://twitter.com/brian_armstrong

https://i.imgur.com/oU8DIRl.jpg

Question: How is such course of action(s) even remotely possible?

lol.. DCR skipping polo and going to coinbase then?

Price could reach a record high if Decred get listed on coinbase. I wonder what would be the price scenarios?

I find it remarkable that 64% of Airdrop recipients are not staking/voting.  Roll Eyes
Wonder what will be the ultimate % of those that never get claimed (seeds lost, etc).

It seems to me that, most of them don't know how to move their money, let alone to buy tickets and start staking  Cheesy

i've sent about 4 times, no problems   Wink

I was confirmed about 5 minutes after your message. I'm glad that all went smooth. Now I know that I can use this platform, and I think I'll use it for every Decred transaction Wink !

Tu te tournais les sangs ? Cheesy
At which price you will sell them ?

Oui c'est clair ! I was pretty anxious that they could never come. I sold them at the market price, because I had to pay my bill now.

Could anyone point me to a guide where I can understand about the mining pools ? If I understand I don't need to keep my computer turned on 24 hours a day, right ? If that's that I'll, give a small reward to who will help me the first or the best if several people feel helpful Smiley.

There is no promised PoS pool.
Bring up devs are doing a private "stake mining process".

You will need to keep your computer on 24/7

you can dig-in for as long as you want. i'm mining at https://dcr.suprnova.cc and https://pool.mn/dcr
for staking you'll need a pool or 24/7/365 'p00tr time

tl;dr
Shame you couldn't have got these basics sorted before the rushed into launch.
Plus other things.

Still no really important stake pool as promised?

What percentage of PoS rewards are bring up devs (c0 + _lngsoc) able to achieve under these circumstances?
What percentage of PoS are they achieving?

davecgh "The developers (c0 bring up devs + _indsoc) have publicly pledged that after an initial stake mining process to help secure the network, they will throttle their stake mining early on in order to help further foster decentralization."
The "stake mining process" is happening now I presume. Hence no pool.
How many extra, free, undeclared decred will bring up devs (c0 + _ingsoc) stake in this process before "throttling back"?

decred dev pool reward (10% of block) can be lost due to voting outcomes, bring up devs (c0 + _ingsoc) PoS cannot, due to centralisation. (bar "throttling back")
Is that correct? How is that working in practice?

Have bring up devs (c0 + _ingsoc) effectively got their own private stake pool running?

Does anyone else get this?

c0 bring up devs (behindtext + _ingsoc) have PLANNED to overstake. (and therefore others understake)
That's what the "stake mining process" is about.
The "stake mining process" is operating now I presume. Only available to bring up devs.
That is why there is no pool.

remember davecgh said decred was "designed with stake pooling in mind" for a reason.
Because a pool achieves better rewards on average. And is easier to use for example, so is more equal to bring up devs premine hoard.
Then _ingsoc promised a stake pool at "rizz delayed" launch?
(I said "Ok, credit if decred get the PoS pool up and running at launch" in response? No credit was due there then)

davecgh also said originally he didn't have time to make a public pool for months.
That was bad planning then. Well for us it was, not for _ingsoc and davecgh..

c0 bring up devs (behindtext + _ingsoc oh and davecgh) dont want a pool yet.
They are performing a "stake mining process"

No stake pool "for months" was always part of their plan to execute the "stake mining process"
Extra decred for them, less decred for you.

How many extra, free, hidden decred do the bring up devs intend to amass before "throttling back" to somewhere still over 50%?
Anyone?

(I haven't done any blockchain analysis on this)

There were 173 addresses that the original premine were placed into. (I did not include all of the airdrop addresses.)
Of these addresses, 140 of them remain unspent containing 677,881.08108108 coins.(these have not even been used to buy tickets for staking)
This leaves 33 addresses that have had some spending activity.

You may go to the block explorer yourself and do the blockchain analysis to help bolster your case.

Thanks bones.

I'm not looking, bar they are staking.
I have read bring up devs writing. They say they intend to overstake for themselves. Good enough for me.
But someone will see, or not, if bring up devs now change their plan.

Is the block explorer up to searches?
Are the PoS rewards going to anonymous/unknown addresses?

Thanks again.

There are PoW pools and a PoS pool (testnet only currently). The original thinking was that a stake pool would be critical to the network's survival. Many people have, however, opted for a solo stake mining approach (and successfully so). There is a guide for this here. Thankfully, the network is doing fine in that regard. Getting multiple independent mainnet stake pools up will be important to the maturity of the network, but the sky isn't falling without one available right at this moment. So when the same fudders/trolls say it's a big deal - it's really not. Solo stake mining is functioning perfectly well. However, that is not ideal, which is why mainnet stake pools are necessary in the longer-term (the network will have them in the shorter-term).

Now, the issues with the mainnet stake pool are more complex, because software development is complex. It takes time and it requires testing. You can see all the work that went into v0.0.5 (DD-1 is here), whilst working on the stake pool. The testnet stake pool was updated on Friday and was tested over the weekend. The main thing being worked on right now is adding caching and rate limiting to increase performance/reduce the load on the wallet RPC servers. For example, right now the tickets page is pretty unusable with hundreds/thousands of tickets. Devs are also looking into why the synced wallets are currently off by a single ticket (this causes the stats page on the live site to error out). To quote a dev verbatim:

Quote
The stake pool is a basic web interface that does RPC commands to multiple wallets and then cross-checks the responses. If the responses aren't 100% the same it either errors out or dies depending on the importance of the RPC call. We basically designed it to be fragile so we could shake out bugs and we've gotten most of them now.

In terms of PoS mining on your RPI 2, there is a comprehensive guide here. Have fun!

Hi

Whats the current supply? 1,8 million says explorer right?, coinmarketcap say under one mil? Also whats the inflation curve on the way to 21 million. can this be calculated?

And when can idiots like me that don't wanna use command lines expect to stake this conveniently?  Smiley

thank u
