iam guessing some eth miners have moved to Dcr. Sudden jump in global hash rate.

FPGA's are mining this now
I need to get my hands on some but have no idea of any that aren't so old that you can't find them anymore. I was literally about to buy like 3-4 GPUs today but now I'm unsure of what to do.  Huh

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Wait until I get the big gun I just discovered I have online. It's gonna be biblical Cheesy

What do you mean with "big gun"?
A new kind  of miningsoftware? An asic? A fast unknown GPU?

Oh, well that sucks for small gpu miners lol.

and not sure where to buy fpga that works with this algo in AU :-/

@ocminer - do you know of any bitstreams for the Cairnsmore 1 units?

I hope it is an optimization to GPUs that make it competitive enough for FPGAs

Not yet - IIRC it was not hard to "convert" the bitstream from ZTEX to CM1's (just some difference with the USB driver ..) but i've sold all my CM1's long time ago and haven't got the possibility to test/develop anything for them anymore.

Nope! A board I have had for a long while that I haven't investigated. 8 quite awesome chips on board...

What kind of board?

I would doubt ztex fpgas are the source of any sort of spike in hash rate.  They only perform at the hash rate of a smaller gpu.

My, I was observing the recent explosion in XCP price, Poloniex has crazy velocity and trade volume, Bittrex trading is peanuts compared... once/if DCR hits Poloniex, the trade volume is going through the roof.

At least on Suprnova's getwork Ports I see a Spike of about 250 gh/s since the release Smiley

Just have published the sgminer decred preview :

https://github.com/tpruvot/sgminer/releases

Epsylon,
Thanks for this miner.
Could you please post optimum settings for running this miner with an R9 280X/380X card.

I am trying with these parameters

Code:
./sgminer -k decred -o stratum+tcp://yiimp.ccminer.org:4252 --lookup-gap 2 -I 17 -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 32766 --expiry 60 --scan-time 1 --queue 0 --no-submit-stale --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 500 --gpu-fan 52 --gpu-vddc 1.0  -u DsRGGC3LskW2gvQ8P43EcWvqoYZwNGn1RfZ -p c=DCR

which give me ~500Mh/s with a 380X, which I suspect is low.

Fellow miners, get your thens and thans in order and help other forum readers understand what you are writing. Remember the grammar basics:  B larger THAN A (comparator operator). If something THEN ....

sorry, im not a sgminer expert... ask vanilla users, should be the same settings :p also i only have a R9 285 (1.1GH) and a Tahiti heater (More but for a few minutes, too hot/noisy ^^)

but.. one this to know, cgminer intensity + 13 = sgminer intensity (not sure if its 13 exactly)

What's the impact of the intensity parameter?
I use intensity 10 -  will my miner (cgminer) be faster with intensity 15 for example?

Atm I get 750 Mh/s per GPU on my 6990 @ 850 MHz.

Do you think poloniex will add DCR soon / ever?

its the number of gpu threads computed in parallel... sgminer miner value is like ccminer one, but cgminer use some mystical logic Wink

T = 2^I

Do you think sgminer or ccminer will be faster?

Is intensity 10 the limit of cgminer?  I tried - I 14 which lead to a termination of cgminer.

web wallet is down again

Sysadmin is working on it now. I'll update here once it's fixed. Everything else is up and functioning. Stake pool's back-end stayed up during the power infrastructure maintenance at the provider, so no votes were missed. My understanding is it happens once every 5 years, so it was a big event. However, there will be more failover put in place to mitigate these situations as best as possible.
