Im not selling even if 1 DCR is $40,
DCR can clearly overtake DASH's marketcap with their superior devs.
I respect their decision for testnet mining before mainnet.
It shows their patience and legitimacy.

_ingsoc, when we will have more infos about the coin, as the reward per block and a roadmap with the features that will be implemented? Are there plans for fast transactions, anon? Considering that some altcoins as vanilla are already advanced in this direction? With zerotime implemented without bugs, for example. Thanks.

I say leave the fake signups out of the DB and split their DCR among the legitimate airdrop recipients.
As far as all these Newbie accounts go screaming about wanting the Airdrop I have several things to say, First off I'm sorry if I come off as harsh but being around here long enough has taught me that especially on anticipated projects like DCR Newbie accounts are most likely sock puppets, so I discount almost everything said by Newbies. Secondly the Airdrop sign up phase is over sorry if you missed it but you have no right to come in here and DEMAND that you get an airdrop spot, also because of my hard learned skepticism, I think most Newbie accounts demanding a spot in the airdrop after registration has closed are most likely alts of somebody that already registered. Lastly, not everyone that signed up for the airdrop will get approved to be a part of it so if you did sign up before the cutoff it doesn't mean you WILL get an airdrop, so just chill.

I see a lot of people here complaining about the airdrop registration. As stated before, your account may simply be too new to be considered legitimate. Personally I had no issue with the sign up, didn't take long to get my confirmation email, and generating an address was a pretty simple process.
As for the people complaining that this is a scam, not sure where that is coming from. Also, are you new to the world of crypto? Everything is a "join at your own risk" scenario in the world of cryptocurrency. If you're so afraid of clicking a link, why don't you run your stuff in a sandboxed environment, or wait for verification that it's safe from a trusted forum user, OR simply not participate at all?

Not think they have the right to complain, much less say it's a scam, the dates have always been clear on the web and forum.
It is only necessary to read OP:
"Sign up for the airdrop is currently open, but the airdrop registration will commence on January 4th, 2016. People who have been selected to participate in the airdrop will receive an email that contains a link to a web registration form. This form will require airdrop participants to enter an address to which their coins can be sent. Binaries and source code will be made available so that you can generate a wallet seed and an address for your airdrop coins. Once you have entered your receiving address into the airdrop webform and submitted it, you will receive your coins on the projected launch date of January, 18th, 2016."

Because some people missed the airdrop, so complaining is a scam
This shows how naive you are. I am NOT saying that complaining is a scam but you didn't find it odd that these Newbies were nowhere to be found DURING the airdrop registration and now that its closed we have a bunch of accounts with only 7 activity (which if I remember correctly is the first activity points you get after just one or two posts) screaming that they want in on the airdrop as well regardless of the fact that registration is closed........I have been here for far too long and have seen this type of crap before and my first instinct is that they are puppet accounts of someone trying to increase their DCR holdings, it is a popular tactic of whales and scammers (even though those two are one and the same if you ask me lol) I admit SOME of them MIGHT be legit but my money is on most of them being alt accounts.

No offense intended here, but I think he may be agreeing with you I believe he's trying to say that the people who were too lazy to sign up in time, or simple lurkers with no proof of online activity are crying foul because they procrastinated and are now left out. There IS a mining phase they can wait for if they're so upset. Or they can purchase if they truly believe the project has value.

Updated the OP text with an erratum section to explain the change in the original projected mainnet launch date. Hopefully that helps avoid some confusion and brings it up to date. Any other changes to that text will be reflected in the erratum section - do not believe there can be many in reality, but it is there for objective clarity and transparency.

@anders lokka they have updated the OP.
vii. Erratum
1: Original date posted was January 18th, 2016. This date was adjusted to late January or early February, 2016, to balance development activity against the level of activity around the airdrop initiative.
