Wow, that's pretty much. I tought it will be much harder to mine some. I heard some guys here made some insane rigs.

Really ? That seems like a lot of coin to be honest, well there aren't many miners so the rewards will change a lot but still it seems mining DCR will be profitable maybe it will even be profitable buying some hashing. (Hint Hint to anyone who wants to rent some hash right now, if you got the rigs set them up). I tried mining a bit also but my card is way too weak to have any kind of hashrate. If the launch was a month later i would have been better oh mining power wise Tongue

had it, lost it, got it, read it, been here, been there ive got got loads of addresses, seeds, i have them too (bugger knows how i will ever get to my airdrop) now all gone tits up, ive wasted too much of my precious time,  i give up.

If you're having trouble, don't be disheartened. You will be able to claim your airdrop using the web wallet without hassle. You can rest easy.

@smic no. Mined coins in tesnet are not real, only serve to test the network and make transfers in order to find bugs. The next Wednesday mainnet will be activated.

decred devs have a blockchain explorer but don't want to share with us
decred devs have their PoS all sorted, but can't help us to pool.

decred devs will take nearer 100% of all PoS for months "to ensure security", before "throttling back" to nearer 50%.

No PoS for us. (very little, much less than advertised 50%)
No blockchain explorer for us. (so we can't see decred devs biased rewards being gained)

Of course anonymous _ingsoc REALLY wants us to have these things.....  top priority.....
but won't help.

What is your basis for saying those things @rizzlarolla?. Far as I know they are working hard to launch this coin, they may not have time to do it all.

I don't think so that we need a blockexplorer right now. We are still on testnet. Let's just wait until Feb 3 and then we can sort out things like this

Of course I'm aware decred has not launched yet, but it applies "at launch".

Yes of course they are "working hard" to launch, regardless we wont be able to PoS OR inspect decred devs PoS. (at launch)
But peoples ability to PoS should be important, in a "fair" dev orientated coin.

No blockchain explorer "at launch" just adds to the fact of mystery and doubt.
This should be a "must have" at launch, for transparency.
Again, a "fair" dev orientated coin needs this.

We're supposed to be part of this coin, yet are not really included till a later date.
(by which time decred devs could possibly have made another 200,000 decred in "unseen/unforecast" PoS rewards)

added;

remember davecgh said (decred dev, decred forum) "the system was designed with stake pooling in mind"
Yet not provided?

and also "I personally wouldn't be able to contribute code to it for some time because I have a list of things I need to get to that is already probably at least 2-3 months of work and I'm sure more will come up in the mean time."
So, no help there.

A web-based block explorer is being worked on. There will be a block explorer for both mainnet and testnet. Both of those are important and will be available.

OK thanks anonymous _ingsoc. Available when? At launch? (it's test net now so..?)

Even more important, PoS.
As I highlighted in an earlier post, decred devs are "forecast" to get 450,000 decred PoS yr1 profits on their premine, with no additional work due.
With no pool for us muppets, decred devs now stand to gain thousand? hundreds of thousands? more PoS.
We stand to gain very few.

remember davecgh said (decred dev, decred forum) "the system was designed with stake pooling in mind"
Yet not provided? A pool is essential at launch.

Used the guide linked by jambo and the setup went well except that an address could not be generated due to an error.

I posted it on that thread in the Decred forum.
