I have personally invested and gained form Alt coins. Bitcoin or Litecoin have limitations in many aspects as far as low risk capacity but high gain dreaming investors are concerned.

Do you know that the two coins that you mentioned don't have that much risk to it as an investment because the price s of those coins have somewhat of a stability beyond a certain price range.

Litecoin is one of the coin that I would invest in nowadays because the developer for that coin came back and stated that he is now working on Litecoin. Some people are wondering when Ltc was going to get popular,  so I am guessing that this is it. This ia the right time and I am right with my speculation.

I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin? I don't mean like a few here and there, I mean over 100 coins.

I think etherum is the answer. they have a very good innovation even have a better innovation than bitcoin I think. they have very fast transactions. beyond the speed of bitcoin transactions. their economic model is better also. there are many other etherum advantages that you can see in google. etherum is very worth to buy and invest into the future

I must confess that there are a lot of shit coin in this market and also a lot of good coins too, but the reason why people loose money in this market is the approach they use to invest. I don't invest in a coin base on the fact people can use it to send and receive payment, always think about the value that is attached to that coin not all that big English. what does everybody think about the future of WAVES? it was at $5 for a while and looks to have a solid team/ tech behind the project but its recently been down a bit, of course all the coins have been going a bit down lately and usually all bounce back together.... anybody here think that WAVES can ever hit double digits in the $10+ range

That is very possible, but I think you will need to wait for some time, I think we are in the beginning of a bear market that is going to last some months at the shortest and a year at the longest, after that the market is going to be ready for another growth and I think that is when we are going to see waves above 10 dollars each.

For me litecoin is the sleeping giant it has the potential to grow. I have just invested in litecoin i hope that it will rise. Im willing to sell all my coins when litecoin will hit a high target.
