Of course it can't. Bitcoin is not accessible to all people specially the people who live on below poverty line. Value wise it is the most expensive currency but imagine going to the store buying things using bitcoin and waiting for a transaction to be confirmed. Hell no.

Correct. The problem lies in a country that doesn't accept bitcoin, that's what makes bitcoin cann't replace fiat. However as an alternative, bitcoin very reliable than other payment processors because bitcoin easy to use.

What are you talking. If the price reaches the value of 10k $,bitcoin will replace the dollar. FIAT of various type.First one is dollar. At first bitcoin will replace the dollar and follow by Euro and so on.But it takes some time to make replace the FIAT. You can trust bitcoin ,it will replace FIAT.

Because I don't see Bitcoin becoming an official currency of any country and replacing their own Fiat currency on that matter. Mind you that price is not a factor in determining if it has the ability to replace a currency. One of the main reason is its legality their Fiat currency is their official currency replacing it by something that virtually exist and technically can be controlled by other people aside from their citizens is really a bad idea of destroying your economy.

Even the price of Bitcoin can reaches $10,000 but I do not think it will replace FIAT. You must to remember we are talking about a currency strongest and most popular on the world, this is Dollar and it will not replace by a new asset like Bitcoin soon.

Finally someone with a brain. Listen we dont want bitcoin to replace fiat anyway. I love options, giving people options to hold a deflationary currency versus an inflationary one is the whole reason I love bitcoin. Economies are based on spending and if that stops they will collapse. I would rather give people who have the propensity to save who want to earn as much as they can, the ability to do so.

And even that country is willing to accept and adopt bitcoin on their economy still it isn't sufficient to make the replacement of fiat. Fiat is needed and bitcoin is just another way of paying transactions and services that we are purchasing. I doubt it that it will be replacing the usage of fiat because it's decentralized and would you think that a centralized government will let something decentralized to be use as their main currency?

Bitcoin is accessible to all people. Because now a days uneducated person also aware about bitcoin and they are going to invest into bitcoin because they know that their future is secure in bitcoin so that's why it will replace fiat. Bitcoin having potential to replace fiat. While your statement about poor people are somehow right but now they are also become a familiar with bitcoin. Because bitcoin has marked a record around the world. Bitcoin has promised people that it can reduce poverty. So as you are talking about poverty line. Then after 2 to 3 years there will be no poverty line because they will become a part of bitcoin like us.

Well, if you are the government, you also have this thought, because Bitcoin can affect the benefit of the government in future if they accept it.

the bitcoin function can not completely replace the fiat because in some cases bitcoin transactions can not be done, in the absence of facilities that can access bitcoin services, that's why the fiat function will remain in need as a means of payment transaction is official.

They will facilitate bitcoin for the benefit of the people, however they will not allow that they cannot make out of his. Government has the power to regulate exchanges and other ways where we can cash out our money, that way we will be force to pay taxes to the government. Of course that requires fiat to bitcoin and vice versa but fiat is always the main source to power or to fuel bitcoin used in transaction and in the end people will still choose to convert their bitcoin to fiat to enjoy their money.

There is no way a crypto-currency will replace a fiat. Let us all be realistic, it may sound nice but be realistic, even if the price goes over 10k it will never be accessible to all. The higher the price of bitcoin the harder it will be accessed by everyone. People with knowledge and being familiar with bitcoin does not mean they are with it.

Because of the volatility and the limited supply, bitcoin or any cryptocurrency will replace the fiat because is impossible to happen since the government cannot help us when someone scammed us because the cryptocurrency are almost all anonymous and it will hard to track an address because of that feature so i think if the world will replace fiat with bitcoin then they are already risking the security of the financial system.

Bitcoin can not really replace to fiat because in the first place we need fiat for our daily needed, all people use fiat, but not all can use bitcoin because only person who know bitcoin can use it.

That's already a given fact. No one can argue that at best, bitcoin can only be an alternative to the fiat currency. The benefits are there and btc even has more beneficial use for me than fiat but certain things will make sure that fiat will remain on control for a long time

Bitcoin is already replacing FIAT. FIAT is garbage and has terrible properties. Bitcoin is far superior in every aspect when it comes to durability, divisibility, portability, fungibility, and it being recognizable.

They can benefit to bitcoin but for now it is mostly their threat in their services specially the banks that are holding or controlled by the government. And that's why if they will replace fiat by bitcoin it's like they committed a suicide by letting something that they can control, control the whole economy of their government and country so no more hopes that there will be a country that will be replacing it's fiat money by bitcoin.

You think in wrong terms You think in terms of major fiat currencies such as the Swiss franc or the US dollar, but there are plenty of other currencies out there which are devalued now and then. It is not about decentralization of course, it is about preserving the purchasing power of the value you obtained by spending your time and effort in the past. And don't be too optimistic about centralized governments either since these get overthrown as often. I'm curious which country would be the first to accept Bitcoin (or some other cryptocurrency, or a basket of cryptocurrencies) as their official money on par with, say, the American dollar. I've heard Roger Ver was going to create a Bitcoin state. I think he would do a lot better if he just organized a coup d'état in some country and grabbed power there
