Just to be clear, I'm not recommending this motion, and wouldn't volunteer to implement these changes even with the payment. This is a motion that shows HOdler's supremacy - HOdler's can get what they want, but if they don't have a volunteer to implement the changes, they can still get them done by paying for them from the blockchain. What do we have to do to make the changes. @freetrade Im tired of coming here rehashing all this same stuff. If we all want to be part of something that is worth something we need a change. What is it you will do? I need some action. your the coder. Come on. Freetrade said he would code a fork to 1-month auto-hodl if I have read correctly. The nutocracy motion is out there for that but is currently squashed by the very large no vote of hamster. If we assume that Freetrade is the only one who is going to be coding, then 1-month autohodl is what we can get right now. But you'll have to outvote hamster. If some other coder wants to step up, then we can consider getting rid of the auto-hodl altogether (which has been nutocracy authorized for months). And if that coder is interested in being paid a big chunk of HODL coins (500k), we can try to vote that part of it into acceptance as well. It's worth noting that Fuzzbawls was going to code the removal of the auto-hodl but the last I heard Life got in the way of that. So, barring some dramatic turn, we need to get behind the 30-day auto-hodl motion and get some change going, and then we can talk about where to go from there. This is the motion that Freetrade has already agreed to code: https://nutocracy.herokuapp.com/arguments/34And this is the nutocracy motion that has been over the threshold for months now but currently lacks a willing or available coder: https://nutocracy.herokuapp.com/arguments/that-it-is-time-to-un-fork-hodlcoin-and-stop-auto-hodling-for-a-year for that only the second options was suggested by @freetrade as no one else is coming forward to do it So let's ignore everything else and just focus on getting this done: https://nutocracy.herokuapp.com/arguments/34

There is no end date for voting that I am aware of, but nothing gets done unless a motion gets approved (that is, meets the threshold for acceptance, which is 5mil HODL to the positive I believe?). If you are interested in this change then vote now, don't wait.

Attn: Mr. Free Trade - I completed my setup over at BitSquare and transferred some bitcoin there. I did try to buy up that $10.00 worth of HOdl that you said you put up for sale there but I couldn't push through the transaction as someone over there is sitting on a HOdl buy order for 100,000 HOdl coins. After working with the BitSquare setup and GUI I must say I prefer using YoBit by a large margin. Now with that being said I am going to suggest that you rethink your earlier comment concerning "de-listing" HOdl from YoBit. YoBit is working fine to buy or sell HOdl. In terms of making a HOdl withdrawel from YoBit that had been previously working but is not working more recently. I've also noticed some free HOdl coins being given away over at YoBit also. Taking all of this in and in the interest of the health of the HOdl coin we shouldn't de-list it at YoBit. I say this because #1 this is an exchange where the coin has been transacted for a while. #2 We don't know how many YoBit users have HOdl coin in wallets there. What would be much better is if we can simply work out the issue at YoBit so that the HOdl coins can be withdrawn reliably. This next bit is to Mr. Free Trade as well as anyone else who may be interested in listening to what I have been thinking about. Previously I had said I would prefer for the 1 year autolock to remain in place but after much thinking I have changed my mind and here's why. Almost a month ago when I began mining HOdl a 50 coin block would autolock for a year and at the end of that year it would be 139 coins. This represents a gain of 278%. Now as of today when I mine a 50 coin block and it autolocks for a year at the end of that year it would be 117 coins. This represents a gain of 234%. Moving forward the percentage of gain on the autolock is going to continue to decline. Now take a look at this... The first batch of HOdl I bought and withdrew at YoBit I locked for 1 year and the gain on that was 253%. The second batch gained 252% and the third and last batch gained 251%. Here again it's clear that moving forward when you willfully lock HOdl coin (term deposit) the gains are going to decline. With all that being said the threshold has been crossed. In other words we are losing coins to the autohodl. I say this because the percentage gain from the autolock is currently less than the gain from a term deposit. This means a mined block of 50 would gain us more coins a year from now if we could term deposit it vs. autolocking it. I may be missing something here and if so let me know. I do think the autolock needs to be removed or shortened to as short a time as possible. The only consideration is that the coin does need to be protected from botnet mining. I think by removing or reducing the autolock it will give those who want to lock and gain the coin a better ROI and others who want to sell as they mine can turn coins loose onto the market and this should improve the overall health of the coin as it will become more active on the market. Here again this may also improve the odds of getting HOdl listed with other crypto exchanges.

In short, no-one volunteed to code and manage the authorized fork. Not yet, anyway. Do you want to volunteer? The motion still has greater validity than the recently passed motion to reduce the autohodl to one month.

The trouble is that Yobit is unreliable - so it stopped working recently when HOdl was entering a rally phase. If we persuade another exchange to list HODL, Yobit might start working again, long enough to stop another exchange from gaining some traction, and then break again. We don't know if Yobit is liquid - the wallet breaking after a few small withdrawals suggests it might not be. If they're not accepting deposits and withdrawals, you're not really trading HODL. And they didn't update with the fork last time and cause a real headache. I'd prefer a delisting - an orderly delisting would allow people to claim back their balances, but I'm not sure Yobit could even handle that.

Do you have any suggestions of anything I could do to try and help HOdl get listed on another centralized exchange? If so let me know and I'll do anything I can to help out...

Here again this may also improve the odds of getting HOdl listed with other crypto exchanges. The amount gained from the autohodl is the same as if the coins had been available right away and immediately hodl'd - so the miner doesn't lose any coins, only the opportunity to sell the coins right away. However, I take your point on board that as the bonus dwindles, the mining rewards form a smaller part of the overall coin supply and we may need to act to incentivize mining rather than restrict it. Thank you, it's food for thought, I'm going to mull it over for a while.

Ok, I had a careful think about it, and decided to submit a pull request for a fork at block 257000 to completely remove autohodling in accordance with the Nutocracy motion. It also fixes the bug with matured deposits continuing to earn interest. https://github.com/HOdlcoin/HOdlcoin/pull/86I hope we'll have a quick review period and then get it deployed asap. Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote on recent motions, but after consideration I thought merely reducing the period has a whiff of deckchair re-arrangement about it, so I coded for the motion that enjoys greatest support.

What about Hodl listed on poswallet.com? Dev should get in contact with them and see if coin can get listed there. They also provide exchange feature.

Unfortunately it's not over yet. While upvotes have overcome hamster's no vote, the threshold of 5million HODL to the positive has not been reached yet. The motion stands at 2.8million currently. We need more HODLers to upvote if we want the motion to go forward.
