Same shit happen to me but was from pgp encryption crash.I lose over 120k hodl. Nothing to do.Sorry. You can try some recovery software , you only need to recover wallet.dat from C:\Users\your usr\AppData\Roaming\..... Good luck ! Hi. I need help for my wallet. I mined around 8000 hodlcoins and was stored in my wallet. But now my computer was formatted and lost everything including hodl wallet. Can someone please advise how can I retrieve my wallet and the hodled coins?

But reason of price drop was in poor promotion and weak developement (not to mention about errors, bad decisions etc)
Changing the rules mid way through killed this coin. No one wanted coins to be locked up for a year. Once that happened everyone lost interest. People stopped buying! so dead. Whoever voted for that proposal was an idiot. Thinking their horded stash would somehow be worth more when the changes that were made only benefited them. The rest of the community sold their stashes and kill the price even further. bye bye This WAS a good coin when it started.. |

i also hope the price will not dumped further i have a good stash in deposit, waiting for the unlock around march, i think if this coin had some anonimity like monero or zcash the traction in the market would have been bigger, too bad it was a good project, i hope the dev can keep up with it

Have you used that drive since you formatted it? Like install a new OS over it? If so then its lost. |

So ok, there's enough interest in this coin that we are all still here talking about it, and people are still mining it, a pool still exists, and it is still listed on yobit. And most seem in agreement (at least those who are talking) that the hard fork to 1-year auto-hodling was a bad idea. So why don't we UN-FORK this coin and get on with it? Get the multiple exchanges back, get the trading volume back, because what the hell do we have to lose? I'll take the days of mine and dump over slow strangulation. The massive interest rates are over, and what bonus rate is left could still garner interest from new investors without being overwhelming to the system. What do we need to do to accomplish this? |

What do you think?
What would a restart mean? Wipe it out and start the blockchain over? Cause I'd like to see something out of my investment thus far someday. Starting back at zero is not where I want to see this go. I am 'simply' suggesting a return to a state of no auto-hodl lock and let market forces take it from there. |

A restart isn't going to happen since so many coins out there being hodled or otherwise. Fixing the nutocracy fork wouldn't help much, in fact it may hurt more since we will have mined coins and hodled coins on the exchanges at the same time. Flooding the market... price 1 sat.
Better to just leave it alone as a failed experiment. Move on to other things or launch a new coin with this codebase.. minus the autohodl of course..

U get ur ass off the bed and go swap ur shitbags to a new fancy token that is a substitute for the old one that u currently hold. A new chain based on GOLEM or REP gets released and u receive the quantity of HODL 2.0 token that is equivalent to the amount of pre-swap HOLD token in ur wallet. |

i think the hoarding didn't quite work well for this coin, it make only people forget about the market and keep their deposit until unlocked to have easy money, and this actually killed the market completely, i was thinking about something that would have been better for this, like for example the more you buy on the market the more interest you have, i don't know how you can code this, but you need to do it in a way that always encourage people to buy, this is the trick, perhaps you can do it it with your next coin

Go to another PC and start the wallet, wait for a few seconds and shut it down. On windows: navigate to ur_username\appdata\roaming directory and put ur wallet.dat in there. On linux: go to ~/.holdcoin. |
