Would removing the 1year-limit really cause a fork? edit: Of course it would, since the current wallet wouldn't accept the transaction of newly mined coins done with the new wallet. Right? Yes.. Term deposit did not kill the coin but f.e. cause low volume at c-cex.io .. what gonna happens now ?? little bit confused ..... wait 4 weeks then will my coins be released ( not much ) ...... confusion can not be solve those riddles which are in the way of us.

Just listed my personal belongings for sale, HODL-only, to try and increase our trade volume and real-life usability! https://selfish.space/cryptoriumAll prices listed are in HODL, and each item has its own payment address. If anyone wants to purchase something, just send the amount to the address and shipping inside the lower 48 states will be included (barring any unforeseen circumstances, i.e. >100% of item $value for ship cost, etc; will work with buyer on any weird issues). Tried to list everything at BELOW what I would list it for on Craigslist at about a value of 138 sats. I am going to keep adding things as I have time to make photos and do the listings. Let's get some coins flowing! nice collection by the way keep it coming and make hodl great again.

I upgraded to Wallet V 3 (Windows). On my 64 bit machines, no problem. On my 32 bit (Windows 7) I have now the following situation: In the overview page I can see the last transactions. However, all deposits are gone. What can I do?

I believe there are some fixes for that stuff in the latest wallet code, but we are waiting on Fuzzbawls to build the binaries for all the platforms. If you join us on slack we can help get you sorted out manually. And I am wondering (Fuzzbawls DM me if you see this?) if someone can just show me how to build the binaries so everything isn't on one person when there is an update?? http://hodlcoin-slack.herokuapp.com/cheers!

Has this ship sailed?
Looks like those massive interest rates in their 1000's is now a piddling amount (well not bad as far as interest rates go, but relatively).
Guess I missed my chance. Also I dont have an ASIC, so I guess mining isnt efficient, no?

you don't need an asic, this coin can't be mined with asic, and not with gpu either, it's very asic resistant, only cpu for now and i think a gpu will not have a meaning in the future, the algo used it is an enhancement of the monero one, no other coin have the algo of hodl

I am new to mining HOdl. I got Wolfs miner up and running on a few of my rigs with newer CPU's. I have a computer with a Core i7 CPU 860 2.8 GHz that the miner crashes on startup. Is this CPU capable of running Wolfs miner? Using Windows 10.

Wolf's miner is designed for mining in a pool which is no longer in operation. Use the miner within the Hodl 3.0 wallet or in optiminer pool (listed on the OP page). They are faster than Wolf's miner.

The optiminer hodl pool ( http://hodl.optiminer.pl) has been updated with the new hodlcoin daemon 3.0 and an updated pool version that will stop locking mined block for 1 year after block 257000. Hope the transition will go smoothly.

... Try running in Win 7 compatibility mode. A lot of mining software fails in Win 10.
I have had no issues with the 64 bit wallet on Win10. I have successfully found several blocks over the last few days using the wallet miner. Is it possible that there is a specific piece of hardware that is causing this issue when using Win10? It seems that i am missing a lot of stuff here. I can see that there is wallet version 3.0 released. Can somebody explain difference ? Do i have to upgrade to v3.0 and blockchain redownload? Thanks
Hello I have version 2 and lots of coins in 1 year deposit. Must I upgrade to V3? I am not an expert so I appreciate a response. I do not want to lose my HODL coins. Thanks - Do I delete old and then install new wallet or just install new wallet. Can someone give me instructions please.

Just like you I was running the Version 2.0 wallet and had some coins in there that had been auto-locked. All I did was install the Version 3.0 and everything went smooth and all my coins were listed just fine after the install. I didn't uninstall Version 2.0 but I did make a fresh backup before installing 3.0. As far as I know numerous people have updated from 2.0 to 3.0 and I have not heard one instance of anyone losing coins.

Then I ran the installation and it chose where to install. It then opened and it all seems fine.
