Why the panic selling, you ask? Bad news from Hearn quitting Bitcoin and calling it "dead" and cryptsy going Gox, admitting to a loss of 13,000 Bitcoins and hundreds of thousands of litecoins. On top, the last pump to 450+ was fabricated in China with fake volume when signs were actually bearish. This is the rebound aka correction.
Waiting for price to go down to 350 this weekend.

I do believe bitcoin is able to reach this amount this year. It's just a matter of when.
I believe that if it doesn't happen before halving, it will happen after.
Then again, it's hard to tell because I don't like to have high expectations and then be let down when it doesn't happen.
For now I'll be in the background and watch it happen.

Honestly i dont believe that the price of bitcoin will rise to 1000 usd this year but i believe if halving ends maybe the price will rise to $700
above i my just prediction and we dont know what will happen if the halving ends..
Im so disappointed to see that the price today is continues decreasing. i hope the price will back to above 450$ sooner or later.

I think people tend to exaggerate both ways: to the upside and to the downside. Mr. Hearn was very negative about Bitcoin in the last two years. Did it change something in Bitcoin price? I doubt it. Cryptsy is not Mt. Gox's size of the hat. A much more realistic is comparison to Mintpal. Did it influence the price of Bitcoin when it ceased its operation. Yes, a bit, but not Mt. Gox like. That is why I believe we will have a correction, but not a big one. Technically, support cluster between $350 and $400 looks very solid, containing many support lines. The correction should stop on one of them. |

i agree that reaching the magical $1000 will be a more than difficult target, but nothing is impossible with bitcoin. we have seen the price go up from around $200 to $1150 within 3 months. yes, it was mtgox pumping the price heavily, but it just shows that nothing is impossible. 3 months are enough to break through price levels we were not expecting at all. |

Surely in short period of time you will understand your speculations are just wrong. We need to consider the upcoming halving which is going to give a very big stir up to bitcoin ecosystem in terms of price appreciations as well as more user adoptions also. So, I strongly believe this year we can see prices reaching $1000. |

Bitcoin halving alone won't get us beyond $500-600. $1k? very unrealistic, not to say imposible, if we count only on the halving. We need to attract new money in order to get there, and this would be very difficult without some positive developments to strengthen the adoption. |

If it remained at $450 -500 for a year you'd see a great increase of investors and positive articles because it would mean it's stable and solid. That's what people want not dreams of gold mountains. |

I do not see any reason that will stop bitcoin getting it's higher value like $1000 in near future along with a scheduled halving in mid of this year. |
