not a chance  Why not a chance, but the only way I can see we can touch $1000 is with an actual announcement or upgrade which can trigger some mass adoption and demand. Nothing happened this year yet the price kept rising, but that alone it's not enough in my opinion to sustain $1000, there's too little demand right now for that. |

I sure believe that bitcoin is able to get to $1000 this year, I don't think bitcoin will be at this point during halving though.
It will probably be before or after halving that bitcoin gets to this value.
So not exactly during the millisecond the halvening happens. So at ANY other time than the ONE MILLISECOND in the history of the universe? Got it. Nice prediction. I am not sure if this is going to happen this year, it could have happened when the price was rising last time but it did not rise long enough to make it to $1000. Maybe there still is a chance for it to happen at the end of the year but we have to wait and see what is going to happen. I agree with most of it but i think if it doesn't happens in a month or two then it probably wont. it can happen by one factor that might influence the price of Bitcoin in 2016 is how the mainstream media covers the cryptocurrency. The year 2015 could well be described as the year when mainstream media began reporting a lot of positivity in the technology, especially the blockchain. The media won't pay too much attention to it if there's no good thing happening or there's nothing worth reporting. One way to improve bitcoin's popularity is by making ways to market it better to a bigger audience. With the backing of the masses, bitcoin can really make a big splash in the economic world. |

BTC will hit between $1000 and $2000 before the end of September 2016 !
Why?
Simple, it's supply & demand economics
there are 100 million+ Chinese that are about to get into BTC, futhermore the Chinese Gov are going to promote ownership of BTC as a way of esacping the Western
financial upcoiming crash.
Demand - 100 mil chinese
Supply - well, unlike FRN's, they cant just be printed! -, so limited supply
= massive price rises
it is their purchases of BTC which will send the $ price skywards
( I also speculate that it will be $12,000 to $14,000 by the end of Spring 2017 as well)
This has nothing to do with the Halving, but simply a mass of Chinese people for various reasons ( capital controls etc) waking (financially) up
Note: i'n a newbie on this forum , but not to BTC ( 5 years now )

It is still possible for the Bitcoin price to reach $1000 at the end of 2016 but that means that the price is to go and rise again because otherwise it is not going to happen. If it will happen I am going to sell some coins for sure because I really can use the money at the moment. Selling bitcoin at the price of $1k can be really profitable and its worth to sell at that price as we have been holding our coins since long time to sell when price achieves 4 digit value. |

Im not sure what 2017 wil bring after this year off course but it wont be such a dramatic year as this year was for the bitcoin for sure.
