Banks are the strongest financial institution that we have and comparatively bitcoin is too small, its not that powerful that it can make banks disappear, as banks have support from the Government and society.

There is no way that bitcoin can replace one of the main services that banks offers to the people, we do see p2p websites trying to make similiar things, and in the general scammers are running away with investors money, soo lets be realistic, its possible lend some bitcoins, but replace banks wont happen.
Yeah you are right, banks are regulated and governed by the government and I don't think that the government is going to allow this to happen. What is more possible to happen is that banks and government is the one that is going to make bitcoin disappear. Because the government is not able to control bitcoins. The only thing that governments can do is to push back Bitcoin by applying ridiculous policies towards companies operating in their country. If they forbid companies to work with Bitcoin in any way, then it will be much harder for the average joe to jump into Bitcoin. That's how they effectively can keep Bitcoin in a relatively small form. But with the power of being anonymous and no need to dependent on any outside infrastructures, I believe bitcoin will break any hard policies imposed by governments. I mean to say keeping bitcoin related is small is not that much easier as a decentralisation system will keep on growing whenever it shows its advantages.

I think bitcoin does have the potential to change the world and how we view it, I am not sure if it can make banks which is a system that still have some advantages disappear.. I think there might be something more of a bitcoin bank rather than the traditional ones.

I think this will not going to happen. Banks can provide some services for bitcoins in future but they are not going to disappear. Banks are the reliable way to safe your wealth but if it will disappear there is no one to whom you will claim your hacked amount from bitcoin wallets.

Bitcoin will never be able to make banks disappeared. Perhaps I did not fully understand all the financial systems and how they work, but I know that they work together. Dented, they can only work together.

As a fuly decentraliezed and independent system Bitcoin will not replace the banks. I'm sure that many people would like that but this is not possible because the whole worlds financial system relies on banks. But I'm sure if there is the will banks could embrase Bitcoin.

I agree with this. The banks can actually use the bitcoin as a currency or provide a service based on it.

That is not going to happen in our life times!! There are to many older people who do not trust much, let alone something they can not see such as Bitcoin. There are also to many money hungry people out there who are not willing to let the money from bank fees go away.

I also do not think this is very gonna happen because its simply not easy to do and the bitcoin has than to fight up against a higher power and that is simply not reachable.

No I do not think this is possible, banks are just to big to win from, the banks want to destroy the bitcoin completely. The banks only want the system behind the block chain, I really hate it but I think the bitcoin still has a chance to win but it will be a long journey.

At best bitcoin will force an evolution of banks basically banks as we know it may disappear but a new model will emerge and probably be as strong as always.
You might be right. The bank cannot rely on the central banks to save them in the future. They have to work hard. Certain banks are so big and deep rooted in the world economy, that governments/central banks will always jump in to offer a helping hand when needed. But then again, where is the limit of all this support? Will they just keep printing money to help financial institutions, or will they just help out the most important ones, and let others fail? No one knows yet. Either way, Bitcoin can't and will never be able to make banks vanish. It's impossible and not even worthy of dreaming about. There is not enough money to save them all, so I think central banks will need to decide which of the banks they want to save the most out of all those banks that may face the threat of closing their doors.

The banks will always save the "too big to fail" banks. For the states this means JP Morgan, Chase, Bank of America, and so on. Banks that are simply just too big and hold too much money within their walls to collapse and cause people to be out of an investment or bank savings. Most smaller banks will be ignored and tossed under the bus if they don't have enough money in the savings accounts, however those same banks will likely not be embroiled with the same kind of liabilities the bigger banks possess, so they can typically be saved with less.

Banks will never be able to destroy Bitcoin, that's for sure. They can however prevent people from using their bank accounts in Bitcoin related transactions. That's a possibility. Other than that, they can't do much. From that level, governments will step in and take their preferred actions against Bitcoin. That's only a possibility when Bitcoin becomes a serious threat to the banking system. That's not the case right now, so we don't have to worry about that

Even with bitcoin taking huge investment and mass adoption, banks will keep with their service and control over the people money, as the countries rule that way. Bitcoin hasnt been made to replace anything just to return the power back to the people.
