I've been sitting on the sidelines for a while because of the volatility. But it's become clear to me that cryptocurrency is the future. It will threaten many organizations that are built on current government issued currency over time.

Banks will change or go under but they won't go away. They will always find some service to provide that someone else will want to buy.
Agreed, We knew that bitcoin has a good future and it doesn't mean the banks will disappear at once. Of course not, actually it can be a good partner or they can help to one another if the bank will adopt the bitcoin system has, for the sake of the benefits of the customers.  |

I doubt that will happen anytime soon, By the current condition of the world that might happen in the future but not in the current year, even minor chances of taking some of the banks roles will be enough.
it will happen soon, believe me it is going to happen in like a decade or so, people are not into banks already and i hope less and less people will use it Nope. Not at all. There are people who'd rather use banks than bitcoin wallets. Me for example. I wouldn't want to risk my asset losing value because of bitcoin's being highly volatile. Currently, my asset is divided at 70% bank, 20% bitcoin and 10% on hand, roughly. As you there are several people that dont wanna to risk their money, savings into bitcoin because its huge volatility, as several are investing into bitcoin because of that. Banks are ruled by countries and they make almost all the transactions of the world, bitcoin is making several transactions, but to a restricted group. Banks provide services that bitcoin now cant offer as loan over 1 year or either 40 years, no one will risk bitcoin to get a huge %% has banks charge over the years lending. |

I don't think banks are going anywhere, it will survive for sure and may be in future they will too start accepting bitcoins and both of them will coexist in future.
From where you are sure for the bank wanna to starting to accepting bitcoin in the future if in this time the bank wanna to adopt the blockchain system for making a better system rather than it. I never believe the bank will accept bitcoin until the future is coming. |

i think yes it can if all the people stop using banks and use wallet for their money i think bank will disappear.
That's too much of a dream and "if"... Not all are into using bitcoin and if that would happen it will take more than this lifetime... One thing is for sure, bitcoin will be living along with banks and we can't convince all the people to use bitcoin alone... |

From where you are sure for the bank wanna to starting to accepting bitcoin in the future if in this time the bank wanna to adopt the blockchain system for making a better system rather than it. I agree with you mate, bitcoin will never replace banks, because bank is very different from bitcoin, all currency is accepted with banks from their respective country, but bitcoin is not, not all country accept bitcoin this time. But I don't think if they can work together with bank and bitcoin because banks also prefer to the idea of KYC(Know Your Customer) so because as one of the advantages of bitcoin is anonymity then you are slowly destroy bitcoin in that way. So bitcoin is only for bitcoin users, to those who loves the idea of anonymity and bank is for every people and every country. |

it will happen when 90% of world's population who using banks start using just bitcoin and leave banks. but peoples will never do this.. only the bitcoin users who believe in bitcoin using bitcoin but the whole world never use this. at least in my opinion it is very hard. bitcoin need to grow and grow even more and more to replace banks one day. |

But here in my country there are banks can encash and deposit money in exchange of bitcoin and that is what i like in the bitcoin wallet here in my country and i do not think bank will disappear because of bitcoin. i think you are referring coins.ph right? because i commonly used that feature in adding and withdrawing funds on my account which is very helpful and really gives us convenience especially on bitcoin holders. Bank is just a storage of money no a currency itself . |

Bitcoin really can not make disappear the bank because the bank is very strong and dominated the economy. Bitcoin is still new so it must grow while banks have a perfect system and good security. Banks will tend to create their own systems and would not cooperate with bitcoin.
Bank is a financial institution that has many advantages when people and merchants use their services. Big businesses uses bank services too. Bitcoin on the other hand is a currency. So no way a currency can make a bank dissappear since they have different purposes in every aspect. |

That's hard to disappear because the bank still used by many people to keep their money . Bank is safer to use because the bank especially if you hold million. So far the bank can not changed to bitcoin because many still trust the banks than in bitcoin . I am not safe to use the online wallet might suddenly disappear. So if you have a big money deposit it in the bank.
