Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear?

Bank is bank even there are new currency come with a great value bank will still remain standing and stronger because all of people know how bank securing your money and that is the advantages of bank the insurance of the money of individuals.

Bank is only a storage for your money and cant be affected  even  how many currencies would be stored their, therefore bitcoin cant make banks  disappear since  bitcoins is only a digital currency. agree, the insurance and the security is the advantages of a  bank.

Agree with that. When all fiat money are all gone (which is very impossible) and we only have bitcoins, then for sure, bank will be gone. Unless bank will extend a bitcoin wallet service with other cool features than the rest, then it will still exist.

Bitcoin's role in the financial world is very slim, there is no way a currency can compete with banks, nor is it intend to do so.
Bitcoin should focus on online payments and outcompete paypal.

I think they can make the newer type banks disappear like those financial places that recently have popped up offering high interest rates.
Only the really old banks will survive the onslaught of the era of bitcoin.

I think never happen, I don't think Bitcoin will make Banks disappear but it will create a separate space for itself. Too many world's finance operations are dependent on banks and therefore both of them will continue to co reside. So bank is never close

yes i am agree with you, bitcoin will never make banks disappear, but banks and bitcoin will work together and it will be good for both of them, if banks accept bitcoin then people will start using banks for bitcoin transaction and banks will get really good profit from these transaction.

Bitcoin could only compete with the banks if the banks got lazy, collapsed in a considerably more dramatic manner than what happened in 2008, and the people around the world got fed up with the current Financial system and >35% of the world switched to some alternate form of payment, most likely Bitcoin. That scenario relies on too many variables, and thus it is incredibly unlikely to happen.

This is not clear to me, I think there is no space for banks in the Bitcoin economy, it will be something new, a new service that is still an untapped niche, we will see.

banks do not only manage your money. some of them also sell products like insurances or real estate. the use of a deposit box is also a classic thing a bank does, so even with bitcoin people will use banks. also it will take a long time until everybody abandons fiat.

It is a good idea, but banks should have to keep the fees for bitcoin transactions the same which other wallets have, they should have their own wallets for that with the name of their banks, it is be a better cooperation of these both, with that banks will also continue to get their profit and bitcoin will also get a more strength.

Adopting? that's wrong will be better to say and that is can happen if bank starting relationships with bitcoin, I think the bank will never adopting bitcoin because bitcoin is not having a real value and still standing into fiat value in this time.

Two months ago I wrote that banks considering using blockchain weren't interested in Bitcoin. Today the news media is saying that a group of giant banks are seeking regulatory approval to use blockchain and their own proprietary coin. Obviously the banks don't trust or need Bitcoin.

the point is, people should stop talking about bitcoin to replace banks and stuff. it just doesn't make sense. bitcoin and banks can co-exist without any problems. just look at how we use bitcoin in todays world. yes, banks might be harsh on bitcoin, but that's normal. they see in bitcoin a potential threat for their way of doing business. bitcoin won't replace banks, it's not possible, and it will never happen.
