Soon enough, banks may actually use bitcoin as one of the main currencies.
That is possible that banks will start adopting bitcoin, but there is no chance that bitcoin can replace banks as the size of banking system is too huge, comparatively bitcoin is still too small. Yep. The bitcoin market cap is just too small to even challenge all banks. There are already banks in London that are thinking of adopting bitcoins. Just look it up in your search engines and you will surely be able to find those news. |

As most users quoted the possibility is very low for bitcoin to replace banking system. Banking is universally accepted and got the largest user profile. Possibly banking might follow the bitcoin's technology for its further growth when digital currencies try to compete with banking.

For me it is really impossible to make banks disappear by bitcoin. And it is just going to be possible if the government is going to adopt bitcoin and going to use it to manipulate the fund of their country and use it to launder. And going to make blockchain as alternative for banks. |
