Selling every coins you had today is a suicide. We really don't know what will happen before halves. We don't know if we can some cheap prices before it happens so better you have some pack ups and ready for the event.
Halving is not an assurance that the price will rise but still it really make sense if we hold some today.

Selling all your bitcoins would b stupid if you ask me, you can sell some bitcoins if you in real need of money but you should still hold some bitcoins because the bitcoin will got to a high amount this year and maybe later also. I think if you just hold a bit if bitcoins you will make a lot of profit, also if you have some small amount its already good if you have that.

As said if you are in hard need for money try to sell a small portion for your present need. Try to hold all the remaining so to have good profit as the halving days are very close.

You should not sell your bitcoins right now I think it would be stupid to do because there are a lot of methods to gain more profit out of the bitcoin you have. You should just have to wait till the halving has been done than you will get a huge profit out of it.

The bitcoin price is still quite low. It is better not to sell it now. If you want to sell, wait after the halving.

You can hold the bitcoin for better profit, but you can't say the current price of bitcoin as low. Then what you would say about the price during the starting of the year 2016.

Selling everything would be stupid due to the fact the halving is coming this year so just hold your bitcoins for the moment, and than sell them if you really want.
You can also wait for a long term , I'm gonna wait on this halving and maybe on the next halving but that will be in a few years.

Selling everything could be good but not as this time if I'm honest due to the fact the halving is coming this year, only if you really need money than you should some bitcoins.
Never sell all your bitcoins that you have because at the end you will regret it for sure because the bitcoin has very good future.

Yeah if you need money as of any emergencies then you should sell a part of bitcoins and rest keep it safe at least for next few months, and you can sell it after the halving.

Yeah if you need money as of any emergencies then you should sell a part of bitcoins and rest keep it safe at least for next few months, and you can sell it after the halving. If you have no other resources in an emergency, then it is OK to sell the bitcoin. Otherwise, just keep the bitcoin.

Such selling will increase circulation which will take bitcoin to the increasing path.

Don't sell everything, instead save everything. The price is going to rise a lot after halving and then you can sell.

How do you know that? Who said the price is going to rise a lot? It only rises if the market demands are higher, willing to pay more. BTC is not life essential, there will be a limit, what buyers will accept to pay. Just the halving does not resolve this issue. The market will have less new BTC available per day. But there is not a shotage at the moment either. This wont change unless business is using BTC for small amounts widely. This will cause an increased BTC flow, and therefore a higher demand of BTC is necessary.

I partially agree with you, as the bitcoin price is not high at a moment, so selling right now is not good decision, I think we should hold our bitcoins for future and sell when the price is higher.

I think the point of the original post was that the economies around the word are slowing down and to sell but not necessarily sell bitcoin. At least I take it that way. To me, if the dollar gets weaker and stocks drop in value, then maybe it's a good time to invest in crypto currencies instead.

Yeah, investing in crypto seems to be good at a moment, as we can expect much higher price in the future, and if they are saying to sell all bitcoins, then not the right time to do it, we need to wait for next couple of months.

Nothing is guaranteed except for death and taxes. I would say that it is a fairly good decision to hold your Bitcoin for a little while, a fairly large number of people are intent on seeing Bitcoin (and their personal investments) succeed. The good thing is that it all comes down to personal preference and choice, so it is entirely up to you to decide what you intend to do.
