Peek-a-boo!  Cheesy

But seriously, are there any plans to set up a small-scale fiat gateway for JavaScript folks so they could get Lisk conveniently? Not "cheaply" of course; the cheapest price has be associated with some effort. Also, if it's done through PayPal, there has to be a seller's risk premium baked into the price. I know full well that scammer-buyers can cheat by filing a dispute and getting free coins. But as a callous(ed) business matter, some of them doing so can be compensated for by jacking up the premium.

I mention this because - 'way, 'way back - the first altcoin I ever bought was Infinitecoin, for PayPal off eBay. Of course I overpaid, but the altcoin bubble bailed me out. One thing I still remember was how quickly the seller fulfilled the buy; at the time, it impressed the socks off me. Smiley

Whoever decides to open a fiat gateway should ask wesellcrypto.com for some advice, they use PayPal and have been open for a long time now. I use them when I need Btc in a hurry. Maybe we could ask them to add lisk.

Interesting.

But how do they avoid people from getting their crypto and then file a claim and get their money back?

Did they find a way to work around?

I always use Bitonic.nl for quick BTC but I think you can only pay with a Dutch bank account.

I have no idea you would have to ask them yourself. They have a verification process to buy, maybe it helps cause they've been around a long time.

I also think that the launch should be as it was planned on 11th April. There should be no more waiting for hose who didn't activate yet their privkaeys. There was enough time and reminders for them to take action. There should not be any delay because of some lazy persons. No more excuses ,no more wait things should be on track as planned.

You are right Sir!

It's not just that. But if you don't launch as it planned it looks like you fucked up somewhere and searching ways to fix it. There are always some negativity when something goes wrong, people lose patience and trust.

Yes well then you have to refund those persons.

But what if somebody donated that 1K BTC is 1 of them, tough choices.

The best thing is to launch and put all the non-claimed LISK in a wallet for distribution by manually accepting Requests from the lazy investors.

Why Punish them? just because they are a bit lazy lol.

Just launch on the 11th because in Crypto people will cry very fast if something isnt on time Smiley

As said before, they will send the unclaimed keys by e-mail (probably after clicking a "request keys by mail" button on the ICO page).

Just noticed that more and more people show up here with Waves in their signature.

Is there a secret plot ?

 Huh

It's crypto man!
Every months comes out better and innovative cryptos.
... is better then lisk
Zcash is the best altcoin ever
And so on.....technology move forwards, and this is good.
Just diversificate your portfolio and you're fine.
Don't go only on 1 coin.

hahaha Dont make me laugh lol.

Lisk will be far more succesfull.

If I can just get everyone to hold their horses, Lisk and WAVES are going after different markets. Saying one will be more successful than the other is like saying that Uber has been more successful than CBS Inc. Huh

Granted that you can answer the question by market cap, but the numbers-game obscures the fact that they're going after two completely different markets. The farther away they are niche-wise, the more complementary they are. To use the Uber-CBS analogy, Uber can advertise on CBS and CBS News reporters can use Uber cars. You git? Smiley

If WAVES becomes a breakthrough crowdfunding platform, it would be straightforward for Liskers to finance development costs for new Dapps using WAVES. And of course, Lisk Dapps can be used for (say) alerting folks to arbitrage opportunities that exist on the WAVES platform or perhaps paying dividends automatically.

The more different the target niches, the more opportunity for synergy. That's a good thing. Smiley

Yes but crowdfunding is easier when you accept BTC.

Lisk for example:
BTC->LISK FUND->BTC
ALTS->Shapeshift->LISK FUND->BTC

Waves:
BTC->WAVE->Colored Coin->LISK FUND->WAVE->BTC

Working with those platforms in my view is just adding extra steps to liquidating your donated money.

Thanks Max. Essentially just repeat the process from setting up the test delegate. Should be easy enough Smiley

@LiskHQ a question regarding delegates. When we switch from testnet to mainnet will this just be a client update or will we need to do anything else to switch our delegates from one to the other?

1. Update the client on your server
2. Access your ICO account or create a new one
3. Own the fee for the delegate account
4. Register a delegate account
5. Setup your server for forging
6. Forge

These will be the necessary steps. Smiley

Hey guys, any news on when the bounties (twitter, newsletter, signature campaigns) will start to be paid?

Since you didn't feel like searching.  Roll Eyes

Hey LiskHQ,
When can we expect to see the full bounty numbers (first day buy, Newsletter, translation, sig's, etc....)?
When exactly will they be distributed?

They will be distributed 1-2 weeks after launch.

I can try to calculate the numbers today. Will have to see if I find the time. Smiley

I really don't understand all this talk about WAVES and other ICO's in a thread like this. This seems to me more obvious than a lot of previous ICO's to be not as good people want you to believe.
I think WAVES saw the opportunity to get a lot of supporters after the succesfull previous ICO's.

You always have to ask yourself: Why should someone "invade" this successful ICO thread and talk about other investment opportunities, that by the way look pretty similar to LISK's ICO.
Also ask yourself: For a lie, would you take the risk to build up a really nice website, a gameplan and buy in some known people?
Also aks yourself: Would you as a indepentend investor, spread the world crazy about an unique opportunity, or would you hope that not 7Million in cash is supported and you get the investment crazy undervalued?

Be a investor and ask yourself these questions Smiley Maybe WAVES is great, but there is no reason to post more WAVES related content, then LISK related content in this thread.

Also check out the newest interview of LISK on Invesd:

Quote
Lisk — The first modular crypto-currency

Scalability has been a problem with crypto-currencies since Bitcoin’s introduction.

Scalability is the capability of a system, network, or process to handle a growing amount of work, or its potential to be enlarged in order to accommodate that growth.

In order to resolve this, Lisk will become the first truly modular crypto-currency by utilizing sidechains as a solution to scalability. Lisk sidechains allow us to implement various features into the Lisk main network simply as Decentralized Applications (Dapps). This not only makes single features optional, it will also keep the Lisk mainchain streamlined in comparison to other crypto-currencies.
From an architectural standpoint it is rational to apply this modularity prior to the official Lisk launch. Therefore, effective immediately, we have completely removed the current implementation of usernames and contacts from Lisk. In the near future, they will be part of the so called “Core Dapps” which bring new features directly integrated into the client user interface (UI).

The first Core Dapp allows users to create a unique identity on the Lisk network involving information such as username, first name, surname, email, forum/chat username, and/or a description. Dapp developers are be able to access the identity sidechain and use the information within their own dapps, e.g. the name of a Lisk account owner.

Alongside with the other planned Core Dapps (messaging, dapp reviews/ratings, contacts), Lisk not only becomes a decentralized network, it becomes a feature-complete and independent ecosystem. Combined with the many dapps by our users Lisk will form a one of its kind hub for the world, empowering the Internet of Things and motivating many industries.

People actually running a delegate are just doing so for test purpose right? I got lost a little bit Grin
thats my understanding, so i didnt bother with it.

Big mistake.  Running a test net node is a reputation building exercise to get votes when you start your main net node.  Those who wait will be lost in a sea of me-too Standby Delegates at launch.
