The same is said about gold as well being used for illegal activities like drug smuggling and so on but since gold is a legal commodity, such articles are ignored while bitcoins only suffer as they are not regulated by the Government.
Till the Government doesn't find a solution to this, we shouldn't lose hope and continue promoting bitcoins on our blogs or on other forums.

I read about these articles almost everyday online and each has their own version to put down bitcoins. Coindesk articles are more helpful and mostly positive. They also predicted bitcoins to increase after halving while other articles gave us a negative report. It's good to concentrate on coindesk articles more.

Coindesk is owned by the same investors who have shares with many exchangers so they are directly interested to HAVE good news even most of them are bullshit.

Example: the news about different blockchains who are developed by different companies. these projects are not related with Bitcoin at all but Coindesk is presenting them as being part of BTC. Smiley

Any kid who is opening a shit exchange service is presented as being like a cure for cancer. It's part of a propaganda. Smiley

Some of them are not criminals. Bill Clinton was lawer. So was Barack Obama. They are president of the US.

I think that it happened.
But I think that happens in secret.
It would be weird if everyone knows. I think it happens often.

I think yes it is being used for criminal activities, may be drugs or converting black money to white, and it is also used for gambling, which is illegal too, people will use each and every currency which holds value for illegal activities.

Bitcoin allows me to gamble even from countries where it's ilegal. That's very nice IMHO. I'm not a fan of government telling me what to do with my own money.

I think the politicians are already into bitcoins, and we see politicians as criminals and criminals are always involved in illegal activities, so I believe that the people who will ban bitcoin in future are already using bitcoins.

Like run around thinking like this, makes you want to go all tinfoil on issues. I hear what you are saying but the chance politicians are bitcoin supporters is close to maybe a handful at best. No one wants to be the guy that supports a potentially career ending move.
Imagine how a opposing politician would play them supporting ISIS through bitcoin, its to easy a play.
We once had a lady lose her election because she did not notice a piece of food on her face right away. Optics are everything and its the same reason most Presidents are tall.

Monero is even better for that kind of business. It is not traceable as bitcoin. You can try that but I do not know if there is any gambling site accepting Monero.

For most gamblers, they do not mind if they are tracked to go into a casino or gambling site. That could be the reason.

Ofcourse it is used by illegal activities. But I think it is normal to use Bitcoin for illegal activities. Nobody can control you and cant see what you bought.
But I think that must stop soon. Banks dont like it either and the government too. But I dont care.

I see more and more acrticles of bitcoin being used for illegal activities
will this hurt bitcoin in the long run , will governments ban this just like they started to do wih paying in cash for some services
to harden the use of illegal , and money laundering

bitcoin is supposed to be a currency, so just like any other currency like USD, EURO,.... it is being used by many different types of people with different agendas.

For various illegal activities people are using bitcoin. This seems to be a big advantage for the growth of illegal money making activities.

Well everything can be used illegally like PayPal, credit card etc.. The only thing that makes bitcoin mostly used illegally such as deepweb stuffs is its anonymity which is good too..

First time I heard about this one. But who knows, there are so many parts of the world that are yet being seen by the international media.
