Anything can be use for illegal activities, not just Bitcoin but also official, hard currencies, banks, financial institutions etc.
Real question is how many such illegal activities we have in Bitcoin?
It's impossible to give any concrete answer, of course, but I guess that bitcoin is more practical for illegal activities because of annonimity and luck of control.

exactly, people are going to abuse everything. it is not just bitcoin. and the number of criminals that use bitcoin is so low that it is not even comparable to the number of criminals using fiat.

Some countries consider online gambling as illegal activity....then if you live in such country....
but as stated before "the number of criminals that use bitcoin is so low that it is not even comparable to the number of criminals using fiat."

Yes and i don't think that criminals would be aware about the bitcoins as they use fiat more as they are using it since a long time and they are comfortable with it so they will continue to use fiat and not bitcoins.

Yeah the fiat criminals are by far a majority. With crypto currency there are relative less criminals using or understanding it.
That's a good think if you ask me.

Correct and many banks get rich or were even founded for illegal activities.
The history of HSBC is very interesting. Just look at the british opium deals in china.
They even fought a war against china to prevent the chinese from stop flooting the land with drugs... Roll Eyes

Bitcoin and fiat are used for both legal and illegal activities depending with users worldwide, we can't focus to accuse the crypto currency because actually fiat is used for illegal purposes more than bitcoin.

Bitcoin is used more in illegal activities. Such increased usage of bitcoin in illegal activities is due to the anonymous transactions. This usage will decrease when certain regulations were fixed in transaction.

The transactions are not anonymous on the first place ,they are pseudo anonymous.Bitcoins are not being used in illegal activities by majority and even if it is then there is nothing that could change that.I use it because of no or way less regulations than fiat's and if you plan to restrict them then there wont be much benefits left in bitcoin anymore.

There's no clean currency in the world. Dollar, Pounds, Euro, Bitcoin, you name it. It's used for illegal activities for sure.

People will use anything profitable to do trading. Bitcoin is no different since bitcoin is also a currency

Yeah, the only difference being...
Say 10% of all the money changing hands, at any given time, is being used for doin' khrymes.
With BTC, that number is more like 95%.
Luckily, it's mostly bitcoiner-on-bitcoiner crimz, so virtually victimless Smiley

It probably is being used for illegal activity.
But you know fiat money is also getting used for illegal activity.
It is no big deal.

Before creating Bitcoin and other altcoins, criminals and terrorists used fiat and cash for illegal activities , and they still using it till now as noticed in news. So accusing only Bitcoin for this purpose coulden't be true, in my opinion.

Yes is it being used to do illegal activities like buying drug and guns.
If you look back these past few years theres a website called silkroad which sells illegal items that cant be sold on a normal site.
On darkweb you can watch people getting killed with a cost of bitcoin.

Yup it is used by illegal activities. But I think it is normal to use Bitcoin for illegal activities. Nobody can control you and cant see what you bought.
But I think that must stop soon. Banks don't like it either and the government too.

Bitcoin is of course being used for illegal activities. And that is very normal I think. It is a good payment method for it.
And more people will use Bitcoin so they are going also to more do more illegal activities and you cant help that.

Such incidents might be taking place but we can't completely deny that bitcoin is not used for illegal activities. Soon expect officials to get bribe through bitcoin, which won't let them to any problem.

Criminals and all other illegal businesses used fiat and dollar, everyone remembers the mafia and the time where they were using dollars, it is not the currency but the criminals using it.
