Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities

Yup some bitcoins are being used for illegal activity, again is that strange at all? Any currency in the world is being used for illegal activity at almost all levels, A currency makes it possible to deal with other people and that would draw criminals..

I often hear this, because that bitcoin is legalized in some countries, because I have always heard that bitcoin is always used for illegal activities and are very difficult to be tracked

it's being used for some illegal activities by some criminals, It's not the fault of bitcoin at all though, Being a convenient payment system is not a mistake and it's the error of those sending the transaction in criminal field.

Thats right being anonymous with the transaction you are going to make is the main factor thats why it is being used on illegal activities.

No doubt about that, bitcoin is being use by some people in their illegal activities...As money and other things with value...probably they use bitcoin because they might  have knowledge about it, if they don't then probably they will be using fiat and other valuables..

You guys should go check out the deep web and see howthey are making payments in their transactions. They are using bitcoins for these blackmarkets and illegal activities everywhere in the world mainly because anonimity is one of bitcoins features.

It will be of course used by criminals. You cant check what they did with their Bitcoin and that is why they use it.
And it can also be very dangerous and that is very bad. But you cant stop them and that is the problem.

Indeed, ff course its used for criminal activities but if I'm honest every payment method/ currency is used for criminal activities right ?
I think overall it would not be a big issue at all because all currency's have it and its not to stop at all.

That's true, i think that some Bitcoin's haters just try to accuse Bitcoin for no logical reasons sometimes, everything already is used for legal or illegal activities.

Problem is that press only notices the illegal users and usages. Of course there are people abusing the system, but to stay in reality: Primary currency of world's money laundering instruments is the USD. And fiat money general.

How would an American big drug taker pay his contact in Colombia? By cash. And not in Bitcoin.

I am not really sure.. and I am hoping that it should not be used but as what you said you have seen an article that it does, I hope that this will be stop because this will not be good if they will keep using the currency for bad things. This might leave a bad image for the bitcoin and might cause to stop..

It's really safe for criminals couse they can reciving and sending money allover the world and nobody will know who was that. So i think yes bitcoin is a good choise for illegal activities. But i am not supporting criminals
