So can we run multiple masternodes from 1 IP address or will each Masternode need its own IP address?

That depends on your knowledge of Linux really. I think you can run several from one server instance at Vultr for instance but you need to set up an IP table. We will try to get instructions out as well. We have updated the code now and built a daemon so we will publish links to the daemon soon so you don't have to build one yourself.

Soon, soon...

Cool, thanks. I know you don't like bct so have you checked into a Slack channel or IRC? Or will you just stick to the blog for now?

You need one physical IP address for each masternode. And a single transaction of 200000 for each as well.

I have little experience with masternode coins.. Never worked with such a source before myself, so I don't know all the ins and outs of how and when the PoS system kicks in..

So thank you for clearing that up..  Smiley

Looks like hagie has managed to get a couple of MN up and running so I would encourage everyone to start staking and see what happens. We should hopefully get some PoS blocks soon....

So do we need the updated wallet to be able to stake? I have blocks that are way old (since new wallet) and they haven't staked yet. Mine still says weight 963807 and network weight 0 and time to stake 0.

Thanks Hagie for getting things going.

Hi ,

even if we find a second PoS Block there are still some glitches in the MN handling.

Please wait a bit longer trying to run Masternodes - wait until ebk1000 gives you a official "GO"

You will need a newer wallet or daemon than precompiled available at the moment (bryce source git is up to date) and a collateral of 200000 coins

But please wait a bit longer maybe there is another bug in the code ... I just reseted both masternodes - Means I have to wait another 24 hours until they are staking, normal wallets should start staking too soon.

regards

Beside running a Masternode, please anyone who got some coins in their wallet leave it open to stake (unlock for staking only) and take a look in the debug.log of the wallet.
Report any unusual messages.

Additional please issue a ' getstakinginfo" in the debug window and post the output.

A Message like ERROR: CheckStakeKernelHash() : min age violation means the transaction is not old enough to stake.

The message : "couldn't find Masternode" shouldn't appear anymore since there are 2 Masternodes running at the momen.

Thanks
