I heard this legend and wasn't sure if it was some tale or not. Now I just happened to stumble across the thread. Amazing!

Everything in hindsight could be done differently... If I could go back one week I could make a killing playing the lottery.

Hats off to you, lazlo

I love this legend. I can't imagine OP does though. All these people saying shit about how he bought pizzas for thousands in BTC for a pie. I wont post like in the thread anymore either.  Shocked

I'll pay 10,000 bitcoins for a couple of pizzas.. like maybe 2 large ones so I have some left over for the next day.  I like having left over pizza to nibble on later.  You can make the pizza yourself and bring it to my house or order it for me from a delivery place, but what I'm aiming for is getting food delivered in exchange for bitcoins where I don't have to order or prepare it myself, kind of like ordering a 'breakfast platter' at a hotel or something, they just bring you something to eat and you're happy!

I like things like onions, peppers, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, pepperoni, etc.. just standard stuff no weird fish topping or anything like that.  I also like regular cheese pizzas which may be cheaper to prepare or otherwise acquire.

If you're interested please let me know and we can work out a deal.

Thanks,
Laszlo

sure. I will give you 10 pizzas for 5,000BTC. Bargain for both.
And guess what, i will personally make sure you get it.

PM me for my addy. Cheesy

Pizza wasn't the only transaction of the day.

There was the $2.2 million flash drive:

Flash Pen Kingston Data Traveler 101, 4GB Cyan = 2200 BTC (shipment not included)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=52

The $5,000 page view:

I created a web site that gives away Bitcoins. Get 5 free bitcoins from freebitcoins.appspot.com.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=183

The $100 million iphone:

Once I get my hands on a new one for Apple's iPhone OS 4, I will sell my old one for 100,000 bitcoins.

Now this is what i want to read about.
The 10k btc pizza will alway remain famous, but i really want to hear about all the old stories like the 5 free btc site from Gavin, i didn't know about that before now.
Thanks for the history, keep it coming.

If you are hungry now I could send some pizzas to you!

Just let me know if the address is the same from the beginning and I will send you 2 just because you were one of the first to use BTC!

Love and light!
